Fleming's Steakhouse - Indianapolis Ratings and Reviews
Valentine's Day dinner was fun even though we didn't order the special meal for this occasion. I know all high-end restaurants try to go fancy for Valentine's Day, but the selections on the special menu just weren't our cup of tea...seafood appetizer, beet salad, every entree paired with seafood, and 2 cookies to share for dessert. Kind of a buzz kill if you don't like seafood. We did order an awesome bone-in ribeye to share and 3 sides. Baked potato and mushrooms were awesome. Creamed spinach was WAY to peppery and I couldn't eat it. The server did have the manager take it off our bill, which was not expected, but greatly appreciated. I tried a new cocktail for me...an Old Cuban. It was a little odd at first, but finished the entire drink with no problem! LOL
This was my husband's first visit, although I have been here before, but only in the bar area. So of course I was nervous as whether he would enjoy it, being the picky steak eater. He loved it and said we'll be back! Thank you for not letting me down! Steak was cooked to perfection. Loved the ala cart option, as we could choose our sides. Courtney, our server, was perfect. Checked on us appropriately, but not overbearing or interfering with our conversation. A very lovely Valentine's Day!
Fleming's has great atmosphere and service. We went there for an early Valentines Day celebration and on a Sunday so we could take advantage of their prime rib dinner deal. My husband was very pleased with his prime rib and sides that he ordered. I also enjoyed my meal, even though I can take or leave prime rib as it isn't my favorite cut of beef. We also ordered the calamari appetizer, it was a little chewy but very tasty.
We went their for pre Valentine's Day. Wonderful calamari for appetizer and then awesome filet mignon and equally awesome dry aged ribeye with pepercorn and mushrooms. Finished it off with their delicious lava cake. A wonderful and terrific and romantic dinner!
Hello, I showed up on time for my reservation and had a nice dinner with my daughter. I checked in with the hostess and gave her my name. During dinner I received an email why I had missed the reservation. I went and told the hostess to double check and notify Open Table that I was indeed at the restaurant on time and dining. She said she would take care of it, but I never received a notice from Open Table to that effect. Please credit my account with my points. Thank you, Sharon
Came during Indy Devour week so might have been busier than normal. Food was pretty good. Took too long for server to take order and then table seated behind us came afterwards and all of their courses arrived before ours. Then received wrong bill.
Will give it another shot because the food was good.
Four of us for Saturday get together- wife had lobster tail - OUTSTANDING- I had bone in filet - also outstanding- our friends had beef and all the food was marvelous. The sides were hot and savory. The desserts were just sublime. The service was good but for a ~ 25 minute wait between dinner and dessert. Otherwise fabulous- 8.25 out of 10.
Not my favorite spot for fine dining, but we were pleasantly surprised. Food was delicious, appetizer crab cakes were awesome, wine was good. No complaints, except I wish they had more on there dessert menu. Bread pudding perhaps? Will return again and definitely would recommend.
Were told would be seated close to our reservation time. As time passed had to asked when we'd be seated. Server (Caz) was inattentive, needed to ask for salad (that took forever) roll plate with knife was taken away before finished, water glasses not refilled timely, after dinner drink was served as a drink we did not order!
(We did voice opinion to Mark Krug, Operating Mgr, while dining/he apologized but the harm had been done. Began and ended on a sour note.)
Do not need to go back to this upscale restaurant. There are plenty of others!
Tables are WAY too close together for a fine dining establishment. We couldn't have a conversation without shouting over the table that was 2 feet away. Ahi tuna tasted spoiled so I didn't finish it. Bacon appetizer was delicious and our steak was great. Our server was great at her job. Drinks are too expensive. A 12 oz bottle of Miller lite was $7... Usually $3-4 anywhere else. Cocktails were $9-15.
Excellent food, service and ambiance. Our waiter was very prompt courteous and knowledgeable of the dishes available and the extensive wine list. The concierge desk was prompt, courteous and efficient. first time visiting your establishment but will not be the last.
Above and beyond service and that extra personal touch for our birthday dinner with a printed photo for each couple and a birthday card with bon-bons and a gift card for future visit. Very unexpected and pleasantly surprised. Top notch cocktails and wine service. Great wait staff and service staff.
We celebrated our 27th anniversary on December 24th, 2017. We were looking for a very nice, comfortable place with really good food that you'd look forward to a return visit before leaving the dinner table. Our choices were Eagles Nest, Ruth Christ, Seasons 52, & Ricks Boatyard. All we had visited before and the food has been a memorable good experience for each location. To return to these locations I knew would not be disappointing, but wanted to try something new, we 've not had before. Flemings, although it was a bit noisy - our 1st visit, the food was awesome, a bit pricey! But everything we had left us craving for another bite. We had Steak & lobster, the steak portions were take home portions. Again, pricey...but I would definitely recommend it for celebrations and special occasions.
We decided to try Fleming's for our anniversary, and we enjoyed the entire experience. We have eaten at other high end restaurants, but we liked the ambience at Fleming's more than the others. The servers were very attentive, and they even gave us a gift before we left. I highly recommend it!
Regular diner and have to say it was 'maybe' my worse/least favorite trip to Flemings.
1. Service was extremely slow, at times non-existent with waitress hanging around the kitchen or rearranging the dining room floor. She had to be waived to the table twice. I'm all about dining, but we want food and drink. I bet the lack of 'focus" missed at least one round of drinks. The restaurant was empty too.
2. We sat waiting for bread for 25 minutes and it didn't come unless we asked for it. Is that the norm?
3. Ordered two calamari's and sauce was non-existent or limited. not the norm when we have asked for it in the past.
4. Tempura Lobster was gummy, batter uncooked. Chef offered us a free desert.
5. Lava cake was burned on the bottom.
5. Back to service. Had to actually get up and get the waitress after she wouldn't (or anyone wouldn't ) come by the table for the final bill.
I'll call this a one off as we all know Fleming's is excellent!!
