Fleming's Steakhouse - Edgewater Ratings and Reviews
This place keeps track of customer preferences, and you don't even have to be a regular. An outstanding place with formal Steakhouse Ambiance, namely dark wood panel walls, outstanding wine list, and plus dining area. But at the same time, and formal enough where the wait staff recognizes you as a regular, and engages in an appropriate level of answer. The food is outstanding, the wine list well selected, and the customer is came from the first greeting until the final goodbye
We changed tables three times looking for the quietest with the best seating for a short member of the party. The service staff was very patient and helpful. All four of us were very happy with our food. A nice place. On other occasions, I have enjoyed their civilized early-evening bar scene.
Service was horrible - they decided to train a waitress on our table. The trainer was not good either. The accent from "the hood" was coming through in his talk. Food was good, but the whole experience was spoiled.
The restaurant is located by the water and should have had nice views of Manhattan, but none of the view was visible because windrows were too high and you couldn't see much of the view while sitting down.
Not coming back there again.
Went for my boyfriend's birthday and it was the best special occasion experience we've had. They go above and beyond than just your average bday candle in a dessert. Our server was knowledgeable and charismatic. Our apps were delicious and the steaks were cooked to perfection. Great first time experience and I definitely recommend it for any occasions.
Wanted to order a great specialty harvest dinner being promoted in our menu only to be told after placing the order that it was a special not starting until the following day. What a letdown, why was it in the menu in the first place? Waiter was not very knowledgeable about a majority of the menu items. Clients at table next to us ended up in some type of verbal dispute with people arguing and leaving throughout the dinner service making out dinner a bit tense when it was a celebration.
Dined at Fleming's for our anniversary. Exceptional service throughout. Manager and hostess checked on us during our meal. Received anniversary card from Fleming's - signed by the staff - when we arrived. Nice touch! Our steaks were prepared to perfection! Lobster tempura appetizer was a surprise item - to us - on the menu! Delicious!!! At the end of the evening my wife and I received a small box of chocolate / one each! Very nice gesture to end a fabulous evening. Our server, Yanet, was outstanding!
As always, they never disappoint. Their service is impeccable and the food and portions are just right. We were also fortunate to have been seated in our favorite servers section. Ask for Alex, a true gentleman, passionate and sincere about taking care of his customer needs.
We had a wonderful experience at Fleming's Steakhouse in Edgewater on Monday evening, our anniversary. The whole staff greeted us with good wishes; our server, James, was terrific; the food was all excellent! James asked us how we would like to pace our dinner which afforded us a very leisurely time. Although we declined dessert, James surprised us with delicious truffles and a candle - very nice touch! The only reason for rating ambiance as "good" was because of the noise level of the guests nearby. Otherwise, a wonderful memory. We'll be back!
Heard a lot of good things about Flemings, so decided to spend our anniversary here. The place and setting was nice with a nice view of NYC. We ordered steak well done and it was a little too well done most of the outside layer was burnt it was just okay, maybe next time we will order medium well. The drinks were very good. Overall not bad but pricey and do not order well done steak.
Went here for their new Sun & Mon only Prime Rib night and definitely will be going back for more before Summer is over.
3 courses salad / 1 side / Prime Rib (3 amazing sauces) / desert for $29.95 is an amazing deal especially coming from a high-end steakhouse.
Prime Rib was done to perfection at medium rare and my lady & I shared their broussel sprouts w/ bacon and truffle mashed potato.
Deserts were quiet excellent as well. I highly recommend people to go on these 2 nights a week special if you are in to Prime Rib.
We were very happy with the whole dining experience. Everyone very attentive and eager to please. Valet parking was available and complementary, but we found a nearby space on the street. My only disappointment was that happy hour was not available at the dinner table. Nowhere in any review or description was that made clear. We will certainly return.
The staff was super friendly. The service was slow but it was Fathers Day. We had to be moved due to air conditioning condensation droplets. That was ok, but we need to talk food!
The food was a disaster.
Our steaks weren't cooked to order, our food was served cold, the baked potato's presented to us were old, dried out and unfit for consumption. No self respecting Chef would have sent them out of their kitchen.
Thank goodness for Manager Angela. She swooped in, she apologized profusely and had our food orders promptly fixed . Additionally Angela comped desert for the table and adjusted our bill.
If it were not for her efforts and exemplary customer service, we would not return. As it stands we promised to come back and we plan to in the very near future.
I am a regular and love the restaurant but when i was seated, we were put on the '"PAY NO MIND LIST", thankfully ROGER, who has taken care of me and my husband in the past stepped in to take care of us. I was really surprised at the lack of initial service. ROGER saved the day and saved me the aggravation of complaining to the manager. My regular servers have been James and Roger and your managerBen Valentine, has always come over and made sure we were taken care of. My husband and i go out OFTEN, we eat all over the tri-state area and what keeps us coming back to you is not only the food but the AMAZING service we normally received. Hoping it was an oversight, but KUDOS to your capable employees who rectified the bad taste in my mouth.
