Fleming's Steakhouse - Denver Ratings and Reviews
Flemings is very expensive--$50 to $60 a plate--which would be OK if the food was superb. However, the food on the night we visited was very mediocre, and all sides are an extra charge. We had a nice booth but the track lighting shone so brightly above us that it was distracting. The restaurant was crowded and the ambiance was that of a chain restaurant. The prime rib dinner on Sunday was a good choice, but it's only available on Sunday. The service was excellent.
Went for Sunday prime rib and it was delicious! Three-course meal includes choice of salad, prime rib with one side(served family style) and choice of desssert. So much great food and leftovers. Plus, we were celebrating my sister’s birthday. They did the best job of making her feel special. Above and beyond.
We just celebrated my husbands birthday last weekend. We were seated promptly at our reservation time. There was a birthday card on the table from the staff, they quickly took a couples photo and framed it! Our food was delicious! I was thoroughly impressed with their attention and making the night special for us! Great job Flemings!!
The food was very good and the service was great. Flemings gives you a card signed by the staff for special occasions which is a sweet touch. The restaurant is very loud so It isn't really a romantic restaurant but the steaks are delicious. Flemings has a great wine list. Overall Flemings is a little over priced. Steaks should come with potatoes at least then allow people to add sides.
We celebrated our anniversary here. Our booth had a card waiting for us and the tablecloth had some confetti to make it more festive. The meal was a Mon. special that consisted of an entrée of filet mignon and a lobster tail with two other courses. It was fantastic! The food was delicious and the service was excellent. Fleming's helped make our anniversary extra special!
With the sad demise of Brooks, as well as Morton’s in the Tech Center (woe to we the 1%), Fleming’s (in the nicely redecorated former DTC Broker) has MORE than filled the void in the Denver Tech Center’s classic steakhouse market. It just couldn’t have been better. The service was attentive without being oppressive. The design of the dining experience makes me want to repeat it. That’s an iffy statement to make after most dining experiences.
Needless to say, the steaks were savory and the sides were sublime (charred Brussels sprouts with thick cut bacon - wow).
A great experience is Fleming’s.
The food, especially the filet mignon, was outstanding. We also enjoyed the crab cakes as a wonderful appetizer. The service, however, was pretty below what we expected for a restaurant with the reputation it has and for the prices they ask. We noticed that the local celebrities, such as Broncos players, were doted upon. We will not be visiting Flemings again.
Excellent dinner. We had not eaten there for quite along time following a disappointing meal. Not only was the meal excellent and back to its usual standards, they had it in their records and very generously knocked most of the money off the bill. We hadn't mentioned anything, the manager just did it - what a fantastic gesture! That gesture puts it back on to our 'regulars' schedule. The fact that dinner was also excellent would probably have done it, but they certainly exceeded our expectations, what a lovely surprise! - Very classy!
We had been going to Fleming's probably once a month for years, up until a couple of years ago. This place has changed radically since then. We knew going into this that it's not a cheap night - but the prices have gone up radically since we were last year, and the food quality has gone down. The portions were much smaller and about 50% more expensive. The service was fine and attentive, though.
With all the other upscale options in the Denver Tech Center, I would try them out before going to Fleming's.
My wife and I have eaten at this Fleming's location a number of times since it opened. It is usually very good and a fun place to celebrate a special occasion. On this visit I ordered the 16 oz. dry-aged New York Strip, Medium Rare ($63). It came to the table cooked rare and I had to send it back to be cooked to the temperature I had requested. The chocolate lava cake was great as always. The wedge salad was wonderful.
I used to like coming here but the last two times, I have had trouble getting them to honor their advertised special. This last time, they sent me a $50 gift card and the only stipulation was that I had to spend $100. I did that and they said that my meal didn't qualify for the gift card. When the GM (Jen) responded about it, all she said was we could come back and they would accept it this time. Sorry, but no. I already dropped enough money, I'm not taking that risk again.
This was our first experience at Fleming's. They were EXTREMELY busy. Even though we had a reservation for 7:30 we did not get a table until 8:00. Our server, Peter, was amazing though and the restaurant did buy us an appetizer because of the long wait. The food was absolutely outstanding, we both had a fillet and they were cooked to perfection and melt in your mouth tender. I had a shrimp topper on my steak and my wife had mushrooms and both were perfect and plentiful. The Fleming's Potatoes were also great, a different take on scalloped potatoes. The atmosphere was not as intimate or quite as I would have thought it would be or liked it to be. A quite personal conversation with my wife at the same table was almost impossible until the restaurant started to clear out about 3/4 of the way through our meal. If you are there with friends or a group this might be okay, but not for what we were there for, and we even set next to each other at our table rather than across from each other. Did I mention Peter was an amazing server? He was attentive and we never ran out of ice tea or had to ask for anything. All in all, it was a great meal, but with the inability to really have a conversation I don't think it is a place we would frequent.
Though it was a Saturday in December, a reservation is a reservation. Waited almost an hour to be seated. Server didn't know how to smile and brought no personality. Food was excellent, but a $300 meal should be incident free. I'll retreat to Morton's or Ruth's Chris
My wife and I and a friend made a 6:30 reservation well in advance of our Dec 2 dinner only to find a crowd at the entry to the restaurant and a 25 minute wait to get seated. No explanations or apologies were offered, either by the hostess who seated us or by the manager who stopped by, very briefly, to inquire about the food preparation. The food was very good and our server was excellent, but the wait was unacceptable.
