The staff goes out of there to make your evening a dinning experience!
For a number of years I have enjoyed eating at Fleming's. I have used it for special dinners,
birthday parties and anniversaries. It has become very popular now with somewhat of a higher
noise level. The food remains the same good quality as before. The service is always impeccable, however, wtih a full house, the service was slow. This did not matter since we were
there to enjoy the evening.
We dined at Fleming's per my husband's request. Frankly, I think there are better restaurants. The food is overpriced for what you get. I ordered a steak, their specialty, and it wasn't even prepared properly. In fact, the waiter was looking over my shoulder as I cut into it and immediately came to the table because he could see it wasn't cooked properly. I was very disappointed. My recommendation will not be to return here any time in the near future.
Overall it was a good experience. My food turned out fine, but my wife did have issues with her steak temp. The server and management did a great job in resolving.
Everything was top notch.
Had a great dinner. Loved our server Amanda. Cant wait to go back.
Our dinner was amazing!
Our waiter was excellent. We never asked for a single thing and barely noticed him between taking our order and then asking about desert. What a relief from begging for refills and constant prompting.
Food was great. We had the Sun/Mon pri fix Prime Rib. It is probably he best dining bargain in the Dayton area.
Great food and the service is top notch.
The food at Fleming's is fantastic, incredible steak and sides! It may have been because folks were out still celebrating Valentine's Day, but the place was LOUD! More like a raucous pub, than a fine dining restaurant. Not a romantic setting! We shared a salad, had the small filets, and one glass of wine each, and the bill was $200.
We were there to celebrate a birthday as well as a family pregnancy announcement. We love Flemings and have always had positive experiences. The only thing that has ever bothered me about Flemings is their table assignment of parties. We’ve gone there multiple times as just the two of us and they put us in those massive half circle booths. This time we were there with four people and we were jammed into a small booth that lines the bar where there’s no elbow room to lift your knife in order to cut your steak. It makes no sense. If you have a part of 3 or more going to Flemings, I’d suggest to specifically request a table or one of the half round booths so you’re not shoved into one of the smaller booths. Maybe it’s just me but I hate being in a booth where I have to keep my arms down or in my lap just to be comfortable, ultimately forced to check my coat because it would not have fit in the booth with me, and my purse on the floor because even my purse couldn’t fit in the booth with two people on one side.
Wonderful place looking forward to going back again soon
Bone in fillet ordered medium rare served well done. Just inconvenient waiting for the replacement. Wait staff was very good.
An amazing experience for Valentine’s Day! Thanks!
Great dinner for Valentines Day, but have been there many times and always have wonderful food. Especially the bone-in rib steak...fantastic!
My wife and I took our college-age son (graduating Univ Dayton this year. yea!) to Flemings for his birthday. My son and I each ordered the bone-in filet mignon. Mine was cooked medium well and my son's was medium rare. Both were cooked perfectly to our liking with a peppery crustiness outside and mouthwatering inside. With the bone in, even the medium-well was moist and full-flavored.
We made our reservation via Open Table and noted that it was for a birthday and the receptionist asked us about it when we arrived but the waitress didn't seem to know about our special occasion until she noticed the birthday card on the table near the end of the meal. The meal was big and we each had a salad or soup starter (plus a birthday cake back at our son's apartment), so we passed on dessert.
But our friendly, attentive and pleasant waitress brought a little gift (or two) to the table that made a perfect ending to our little family birthday gathering.
Enjoyed an early Valentine's dinner with my husband.
Our waiter was fantastic. The meal was delicious, but expensive. Nice special occasion location for date night.
Everything was delicious! Service was spectacular. We’ll be back!
We always love Flemings and have never been disappointed. Even though it is a chain, you are treated as if it were a local restaurant.
We eat out twice a week, rarely at the same restaurant more than twice/year. Our normal dinner is a bottle of wine, appetizer and dinner for two for $100. Flemings is way over priced! I believe without any discount, this meal would easily have been $200. The food was good, but the value is restricted to those that have an unlimited expense account!
Daddy daughter dance nice. Wonderful meal and a great time!
Excellent we had Chris as a waiter and he was great.
Service was amazing, the waiter took great care of us. The Salmon was to die for and the restaurant week options were perfect.
Overall, we had a good meal at Fleming’s. Since we eat at many high-end steak restaurants, I would rate them about a 5 in comparison. Food is very good but not particularly great.
Bar nats all over the place! When we asked the manager to address she did nothing! Never go back.
Food was great. The steak was cooked to perfection. Waiter was attentive. Due to the size of the dining room (tables are pretty close together) it can get pretty loud.
Flemings is a good solid steakhouse, offering everything you'd come to expect from a top quality steakhouse. I will admit, the prices are VERY high (the same as their outpost right outside of NYC in NJ.) Steakhouses, in general, are beginning to price themselves out of the market (especially in a town like Dayton). $50+ for just the steak, plus $13 for sides and $15 for a salad makes it a splurge only destination.
Fleming's participated in Dayton's Winter Restaurant Week so we took advantage of the opportunity to dine there and have a great dinner for $30.18 per person. The steak was great, very tender and cooked perfectly. The creamed spinach and mashed potatoes were also very good. Fleming's is a fairly pricey restaurant on par with Morton's and Ruth's Chris in terms of quality.
A lot of people and somewhat loud. Food was great and service was very pleasant.
Excellent food and service. Our waiter Chris was busy but was very attentive to our needs
Always an excellent experience at Fleming's. The food is outstanding and the service is exceptional. While a bit pricey, it is well worth the cost!
The food was fabulous, the ambiance beautiful, the wait staff attentive but not intrusive. I had fillet mignon, and it was outstanding!
Excellent service!! Awesome food and a wonderful atmosphere!! Would definitely return for dinner!
Came for the Sunday night prime rib dinner. Portions were so huge we took several to go boxes home! Food more than met expectations and our server was perfect: unobtrusive yet highly efficient.
Always excellent. Filets are my favorite. Small plates a good value for the price and quality.
Service was best in Dayton. Steak was a little over cooked.
I have struggled with posting this review because, admittedly, I did not bring any of this up to management so they didn’t have an opportunity to remedy it. However, so many issues with our meal were visually obvious that any trained expo or BOH manager should’ve noticed them immediately.
We had 9:30 reservations on New Years Eve. We were a party of 4. I ordered the wedge salad, filet - cooked medium and Brussels sprouts. My partner ordered a wedge salad, chicken breast and wild mushrooms.
The wedge salads were delicious! No complaints.
My filet came out well done. There was NO pink in the middle at all. The Brussels Sprouts were basically carbon. They were completely burnt. Not grilled or “lightly charred”...they were fricking little chunks of charcoal with the most acidic vinegar on them anyone has tasted.
My partners chicken breast should have never left the the kitchen to begin with. The topping for the chicken was black and his physical chicken breast was black. I’m not kidding. Totally inedible and charcoal colored. Consequently, totally dry on the inside. Horrible!
The wild mushrooms we ordered...nothing more than button mushrooms. No portabella, no shiitake...nothing! Just slimy balls of domestic mushrooms. Terrible!!!!
I probably average 6 visits a year to Fleming’s and am familiar with their ability to deliver quality. I have always thought they were overpriced, but the food has been decent. This visit was totally unacceptable. My bill was $192 and I left a $40 cash tip because the SERVER WAS EXCELLENT!!! But for $232, I could’ve had an exponentially better meal for half that price at the competition on Far Hills in Oakwood.
I am so disappointed. I will struggle with ever going back unless Fleming’s strives to make it right and gives me a reason to return.
We went for New Year’s Eve and had a party of 8. The service was great and dining options for the holiday were excellent.
