Fleming's Steakhouse - Charlotte Ratings and Reviews
Wonderful food, drinks and service! Pretty expensive but worth it for a special occasion. We were there for our anniversary and they treated us so special and even sent us home with homemade truffles! Love the valet parking so close. We will definitely be back for the next occasion we are celebrating!
Let me start off by saying I consider myself a steak connesuier and have been eating at the finest steak establishments all over the country (world) my adult life.
Fleming's is hands down the most consistent and finest of them all. Their meat is consistent in quality and portion sizes and they cook it just right every time I have been. Their shared sides are very good - although the portions could be larger IMO when you have 4 or more joining you. And their wine selection is very, very good and can compliment any price range. Service was excellent as well! See you again soon!
I am a seafood and steak person and has followed my gourmet hubby to many good restaurants, some of them ridiculously expensive. But Fleming’s has been keeping surprising me. Going to that Thanksgiving Day diner, I had been eating all day with my friends. I thought I was just going to eat the Lobster Soup and bring the turkey and the rest home for my hubby, as I never thought I would like any turkey dish. Oh my, that night, I had the best turkey ever – one of the best meals, also because of the excellent service by James, Jennifer, and all. We are going back to Fleming’s for Christmas Eve, and New Year’s Day. The number of bonus cards (from the gift card we bought) means we will visit their restaurants every weekend from January to mid-February.
This bring my first thanksgiving at a restaurant I had my doubts that this would be a good thanksgiving. I will say I was pleasently surprised our waitstaff person Jessie was great, the meal was prepared perfect and they actually had dark meat which I prefer on request . With 3 great traditional sides and top off with great desert
A great bottle of wine wrapped the dinner nicely. We enjoyed our stay that we made our valentine day reservations. I walked in doubtful and left feeling thoroughly satisfied. Great value for the money.
My dinning experience at Flemings, Charlotte NC was the best I've had in years! The food was great, the service was outstanding, and the whole experience was most enjoyable. We have dined at Flemings many times prior to the Carolina Panthers football game but this was the best yet. Our waiter, Jeffrey, and his staff were perfect. We even met chef Ricco, who, by the way, dropped by on his day off. He prepared one of his specialties, sauteed mushrooms, and even had two desserts prepared for us...all at no charge (delicious)! Now that was an extra customer service special touch! Please pass my compliments on to all who made this experience most enjoyable. See ya'll again soon.
Took my son for a father/son weekend for football game. We went to Fleming’s last year and it was great. Disappointed this year in the overall experience. The mushroom ravioli seemed to be frozen when last year it seemed the pasta was made from scratch and portion was larger. The real disappointment was the same manager as last year walked by my table at least 15 times at least and never asked how we were doing or how our food was. He was so concerned with a gentleman named Jason and his date that were obviously regulars and I saw him comp their food for a miss cooked steak the nite before. I actually said hello to the manager just to see what he would say and he just said...hello. The bar staff was awesome and my Manhattan was made perfectly. Probably will not go back which is a bummer. Basics go along way with me since I run a customer service business and complatincay happens but is unacceptable in a wonderful restaurant as yours.
Pet Peeve ... Waiters who say "my personal favorite on the wine list is such and such", it happens to be the most expensive. Why not, what price range are you looking at? Do you have a particular favorite? And at end of meal, why pour a glass and half when you can say, can I put a cork in that and bag it up? For what you spend on a dinner at Flemings you should expect better than Longhorn type service. Otherwise very good meal, food was excellent!
The atmosphere and service are great, but the food not so much. I had shrimp and scallops - that's two shrimp and two scallops for $45, and the shrimp were tough. The asparagus on the side was good, but nothing to jump up and down about. The chocolate lava cake dessert tasted like they forgot to add sugar, it was just boring.
The wines were good but the iPad they give you to search for wine is just a bit much when you are on a date and trying to get to know one another, not take a technology class.
Something has changed....in a good way! We haven't dined here in a while. Flemings had fallen out of our rotation because the past few times we went the service was OK, and the food was OK, but nothing special. Service was phenomenal Saturday night, I barely took a sip of water and the glass was topped off each time. My wine glass was always filled at an appropriate time. The food was flavorful and perfectly seasoned. Our server was terrific and not overbearing. We will definitely be back soon.
Fleming's did it again. They made a special occasion (anniversary) feel even more special. Flower petals on the tablecloth, a card recognizing our occasion, and every staff member acknowledging our day with genuine enthusiasm. The filet and ribeye we ordered were perfectly cooked, and the wedge salad, Fleming's potatoes and drinks were delicious. Our server Gene was knowledgeable and helpful, and other wait staff kept a close eye on our water glasses and any other needs. They also sent us home with handmade truffles wrapped with a bow. We don't go often, but when we do, Fleming's is worth every penny for the food AND the experience. Thank you!
