Fleming's Steakhouse - Birmingham Ratings and Reviews
It was a busy Friday night. The manager was so kind to bring us champagne because we had to wait 15 minutes past our reservation. At dinner, we ordered a bottle of wine and the “special” for the night to split which was lobster bisque, steak and lobster, and chocolate cake. We also added a wedge salad and a side of potatoes for the two of us. The food was delicious, but with everything being a la carte, it can get expensive. We spent $250 (including tip) on our meal. The food is always delicious, but I’d recommend this restaurant as special occasion dining because of the price point.
Thanksgiving day turkey lunch at an overpriced steak house, REALLY? That is what I was thinking when I went along with a couple of “more money than sense” folks to Flemings. I ordered the turkey special lunch and they copped out and ordered a piece of beef that cost as much as an entire cow. My meal was just average, if that, as turkey lunches go, probably not up to Cracker Barrel standards. I can recommend their Thanksgiving turkey special for one thing….the absolutely best laxative I’ve ever experienced, the next morning, an absolute blowout, six times!!!!!
Wow. I have lived in Bham almost 20 years and never been here. I have been missing out. The food, service and atmosphere was outstanding. At one point, both the head chef and manager stopped by to check on us. Steaks were cooked to perfection. I will be back!
We’ve been twice to Fleming’s and both times the food was average at best (steaks ok, sides terrible, apps average). The service was terrible. The last time, we had a table of nine with two servers (which I thought was smart in the beginning). My husband got the 3-course chef’s recommendation with wine pairings. He never got the wine after the first glass or his dessert. When we finally flagged a server down to ask, they brought us 2 glasses of champagne. We were ready to G-O. You bring 2 glasses of champagne when 4 adults are there? The kids were done with their desserts. We had been waiting for servers forever. Weird.
Our dinner was fantastic! Our waiter, Rosh, was excellent in suggesting entrees! We were celebrating a birthday and the chef sent out a complimentary champagne. It was delicious! I highly recommend Flemings to anyone for anything from a special occasion to a simple girls night out!
The impeccable service and delicious offerings made an everyday Sunday brunch feel like a grand celebration. The menu is on the pricy side but the quality of the entire experience makes it worth it. The menu elevates traditional brunch offerings to a new level with gourmet ingredients, generous servings and beautiful presentations. I just wish it were available on other days too! The wine list has both old favorites and new discoveries available by the glass.
Dinner was fine, wine was good. Everything was ok, staff was friendly, food was good. Wife's filet was a little over cooked, my strip was not the best cut of meat but was cooked right with good flavor. Wasn't a bad experience but I've paid less for better meals.
Another great evening at Flemings! We enjoy the management and staff as much as the delicious food. We always look forward to seeing William, Charlie and Crystal as they manage the restaurant with such ease and confidence. Johnny Andrew, our waiter the past few times, has made the experience even more enjoyable. Thank you for making us feel "at home"!
Decided to swing by Fleming's after a brutal day in court and i was not disappointed at all. Everything from the food, service, and ambiance lived up to my expectations. I had a filet and lobster combo meal and that was one the best filets I've ever had; very well seasoned meat. It was delicious! Highly recommended place.
