Fleming's Steakhouse - Baltimore Ratings and Reviews
Celebrated my wife's birthday. Mentioned this when I reserved a table, and from the moment we arrived until we left the entire staff was courteous, friendly, and professional; as well, wished my wife a happy birthday. Service was quick, accurate, and welcoming, the food was delicious, and the house beer was very smooth and tasty. The manager took a complimentary photo of us, and framed it so that we could share the memories! (Nice touch!) We are definitely going to return, and highly recommend this gem!
A typical chain restaurant. Steaks were very good, but the rest of the food was average. Server was very nice and attentive at first, but forgot about us at the end of the meal. There was nothing super special about the experience that would encourage us to go back. There are many other steak restaurants in a Baltimore that we would rate higher.
A slight let down from last visit. We had a 5pm reservation and had to wait approx 5 mins after arrival because they were still polishing glasses on the tables! The place opens at 5pm for dinner so this should have been done prior to opening. Hostess didn't have stickers for validating parking tickets. Our waiter, Don, was friendly and gave us good service. As far as the food, the French Onion soup was burned on the top! Charred cheese and onion. I sent it back! Was surprised a restaurant of this caliber would send it out. The food runner brought it out but I feel it never should have left the kitchen. The replacement soup was better but I suspect they just took the broth and put it in another bowl with new cheese. It did have a slight burnt taste to it. I won't order it again! Caeser salad was good as well as the Sea Bass. Hubby's steak was great - cooked perfectly and full of flavor. Fleming's potatoes were good as well and plenty for 2 people to share.
Was looking forward to a date with my wife when Flemmings happened. I ordered a filet medium rare, which is my desired temp for any steak. Our waiter (great guy) asked us to cut our steaks to make sure they were cooked correctly. Before I could even get through the steak the waiter said it was raw, which it was, and he would have them put it back on the grill for a few minutes - ok no big deal. Except, no one came back to get the steak. My wife order a filet and added a lobster tail to her meal. The lobster tail was over cooked beyond the point rubbery and all the way to tough. I ate around the edges of my steak and we only ate a few bites of the lobster which is not the quality or experience you want when you are paying roughly $300 for two people to go to dinner. My wife and I joked and laughed our way through the meal (one of the many reason why I love her) but we aren't likely to go back to Flemmings any time soon.
Fleming’s has been go to for our family since 2001. We have had birthday, graduation and Christmas celebrations there.
Server was incompetent and the manager on duty was arrogant.
There was a total of six people and four only ordered steaks. After two hours I had to ask for the check twice and finally it came with a total of $241. Total rip off no comps for appetizers or drinks.
Not going back -
First time Fleming’s falls flat. I have gone to this restaurant for many a Christmas Eve birthday celebration, but this time I left thinking I don’t think i’ll be back anytime soon. First, we waited way too long for our order. The server brought us bread twice. When our food finally arrived my husbands steak was lukewarm. The plate was warmer than his food. Service was okay. They definitely overbooked. Finally the cost. Should salmon and an 8 ounce filet almost cost the same?
First visit to Fleming’s. Hostesses were friendly, as was our waiter. He was attentive, but not too. He even took the time to update us on the football game on the tv in the bar. My one complaint was that it seemed to take a little longer than it should have to get our main course. That said, the steaks were great and I’d dine there again.
Although the initial hostess was bland in her reception to our reservation, all others were effusive in their welcoming. The second hostess that seated us, was warm and friendly. Our server, Don, was great, as was DeWan. They seemed intent on making this a special evening for us. The food, from pacing, to presentation, to taste was outstanding. One filet, requested medium rare was served pretty over done. The other requested for medium, was not hot when served and had to be returned to the kitchen for heating. A request for melted butter was responded to but the flame kept going out.
All in all, the evening was as meaningful for my wife and I as it was intended to be.
Always enjoy our visit to Fleming's. Excellent service, beautiful restaurant and environment, good food. Tried the dry-aged NY for the first time. Would probably not get it again as the aging is indistinguishable from the standard NY strip but costs almost +$10 over the standard. Nicely prepared NY steak, though, as always! Enjoyable dinner served by professional, efficient, and most pleasant staff members. It is a pleasure to dine at Fleming's, Baltimore.
Unless someone else is paying for it I would stay away. Sixty bucks for a medium sized steak is just poor value. No even caramelized on the outside, like the grill or broiler wasn't hot enough. Hard to justify that kind of expense even on someone else's dime. Service great, wine list also great, but food OK only.
Thanksgiving food was not good they ran out sweet potatoes the turkey texture was unrecognizable I had dark meat and the biscuits were flat and hard the dressing was sweet and I have never had sweet dressing. I had out of town guess and I thought this would be a good experience and it was not I was disappointed. The food was awful. Stick with steak and seafood
Fleming's is always good, but this was an exceptional visit. We were entertaining family from out of town on a special occasion. The food was even better than usual, and our server struck the perfect balance of attentive and unobtrusive. The only dings are ambiance--my father in law commented on how the TV dampened the otherwise upscale vibe--and the brusque, uncaring woman attending the valet parking. Minor complaints, but against the otherwise stellar experience these flaws REALLY stood out. Still I eagerly await my next visit.
Brittney T. was our server and she was fantastic. We use to go all the time and we seen our favorite manager Dwan; he has the best customer service. We are regulars so we know one of the owners Rich. One of the most humble people you could meet. Fleming's is my husband and I favorite Steak House.
Great place and service, no doubt.
2 of us
2 salads, 2 glasses of wine, 2 entrees (50 $ each), 2 sides, 2 deserts and 2 coffees.... 250 dollars plus tip?
I never look at prices when I go out. You go out, you gonout. But this seemed a bit expensive for a steak house...
In any case, food was great as was the service.
My two girlfriends and I were celebrating a 40th birthday. We had such an amazing time! From the complimentary pictures, truffles, and appetizer, to the exceptional service by James, we loved every minute of our time. Thank you James and Flemings for an amazing kickoff to a special birthday weekend!
The food and service were both amazing. I don’t think we passed a single staff member that didn’t greet us and thank us. Our server, Sarah, did an amazing job and provided 5 star service. My steak was prepared perfectly and was one of the better steaks I have ever had.
