Fleetwood's On Front St. Ratings and Reviews
We are locals and have been here many times. It always leaves us impressed. Great food, great service. Even when it poured down rain, we had a great time on the roof top. If you're visiting Maui, you must try it.
If you're local, you probably already love it.
Our experience overall was great. My new Husband and I were there celebrating our Honey Moon. The food was great. Our server was very friendly and personable. The sunset ceremony was very neat to experience. Highly suggest checking it out as they do this every day at 5:45pm.
We were served with complimentary champaign for our Honey Moon which was nice. We ordered the crab and corn fritters, the clams, the burger and the seafood linguine - all were very delicious. I would definitely come back and suggest friends to go. It is on the pricier side of food but worth every penny.
My only negative thing was the hostess didn't seem friendly but I figure with such a busy restaurant she must have been busy organizing and maybe at that moment was distracted.
Booked a table on the roof top. While waiting for table we sat at bar. Changed our mind about a table and sat at bar. Jill and Will were excellent bartenders and made it a very enjoyable atmosphere. Food was 5 star. I had parmesan crusted snapper with lobster risotto and my friend had scallop and prawn linguini. Zero complaints on service or food. Fleetwood Mac was playing downstairs so we got to hear him and whoever the band was he was playing with. That was a plus. Planning to go back before I leave Lahaina
Nothing beats watching the sunset from this rooftop patio! The cocktails are excellent, but the food isn't that special. Two of us in our party had the risotto with the optional extra charge lobster "chunks". It was luke warm and there were just bits of orange flecks of lobster in it. Everyone agreed that you dine here for the view not the food. I'm sure we'll go back as this is one of our favorite places to see the sunset.
Have come many times before and have always enjoyed up until this time. Food was just okay - not worth the cost. No music due to an accident that prevented group from arriving. No plan b in place. Also dining al fresco and listening to music is no longer an option - you have to sit indoors now which is not as nice for ambience. Disappointed and not sure I'll return.
We were able to be seated before our reservation. We had a beautiful view of the sea (slightly obscured by the power lines). Drinks were good. Appetizer of Pork belly was really good. They brought our main course but didn't appreciate that we had no silverware. Ono was overcooked. Waiter didn't offer a replacement or a comp. very pricey meal for a mediocre one. Would not recommend.
Fleetwood’s is a great place to get a great dinner. We had a rough start when we got there. Reservation was at 8 and we didn’t get seated until 8:55. After a conversation with the manager they tried to get us seated quickly. They tried very hard to make up for this, and it was much appreciated. Although we were initially very frustrated, their generosity and great service made up for it. Tommy treated us VERY well. He really shifted our mood with his attentiveness and great personality. We had a great meal. We will definitely be back.
The restaurant itself (upstairs) was very open, and had a great view of the harbor. The waiter, Tommy, was delightful and helpful. Now to the food....never have I had to pay so much for such horrible food. the MahiMahi was cold and raw in the middle, the Risotto was pasty and undercooked, and had an unappetizing flavor and consistency. Overall, I had a much better meal at ANY of the local restaurants.
We ate at 7 different restaurants during our stay in Maui, and this is by far the worst of the worst food I have ever eaten on the island. There are lots of other options to choose from, I suggest passing on this restaurant and going to Mala, Mommas Fishhouse, Kimos or any of the other local restaurants over this one.
Fleetwood's is in a beautiful setting. We sat on the rooftop dining area. Views were fantastic from the upper deck. Our server was excellent, very attentive. Quite knowledgeable with the wine list. The food was excellent, I had a filet, my husband had the seafood linguine, both were excellent.
Enjoy the Hawaiian lighting the torches, chanting and story telling. Have enjoyed the band and also the bagpipes. It is a very unique place on a roof overlooking the ocean with cool breezes in the evening. Sunsets are short but sweet. Mick Fleetwood had an awesome vision when the restaurant was being planned. It is always a special evening when we are in Lahaina.
They were overwhelmed. Our waiter was arrogant, and rude. 20 minuets to get a bar order made, 15 more to get the drinks. “I’ll give you all free champagne for your wait “. We explained that we did not want champagne, but thank you anyway. At the end he said he would take the champagne charge off the check, that we should have been more appreciative of the offer.
Really don’t want to relive more of the complete disaster of an evening except to say that the exact thing was happening at the two tables next to us. (Including a couple from Australia) Table setting was great. Most of the food that we finally got was good. But the service, we will never go back.
Great view of sunset .Great food and service. But... we made reservations to be upstairs to experience the ceremony and lighting of torches . We so wanted to hear the person talking-we even left our table to move closer-but a large group sitting behind us was very loud especially as the waiter was taking their order at that time and continued afterwards. Not sure of solution-more speakers? Servers encouraging guests to enjoy ceremony ( maybe if server spoke quieter too at the time of ceremony?)
"Happy Hour" to start...Oyster on the half shell and local beer. The service in the lounge was amazing (thank you Cynthia). Went to the roof top for the sunset supper. We had the supper for 2...lobster, beef Wellington, shrimp and scallops and all the trimmings. YUM! Our waiter was Tommy (Cynthia's husband) what are the chances! Top notch service ! If you want amazing food and service I would highly recommend this place! Thank you again Cynthia and Tommy you made a special night out even more special! See you in February 😎
Two of us ordered the Monchong and both were over cooked and lacked any flavor other than the salt to season it.
Roger the bagpiper was awesome as was most of the service. A big fan of Fleetwood Mac, it was fun and interesting to see Mick’s place and his memorabilia.
The rooftop view is spectacular. Our couple friends enjoyed their roast chicken and mahi mahi.
The food was great but plan to spend $32 - $55 per entree. A shot of tequilla that was recommended turned out to be $18.00, a bit much. Portions are good so we ordered one entree and two appetizers. We have been here many times but always go for the music, because Mick charges a lot for everything. The music is great, especially their house band The House Shakers and Gretchen Rhodes when she performs. The rooftop is great for drinks but the main stage is now on the main floor due to weather considerations and having bands set up outside. A very fun evening.
great food and service the pre dinner sunset show was outstanding. Although we were there for 3 hours from the time we sat down until we paid and left there was a bit of a delay in getting our meal but we enjoyed the atmosphere and visiting with our friends. The staff was very fast and friendly we have dined here 3 other times and intend on returning it is always enjoyable
We dined on the rooftop. The sunset view was lovely and the bagpiper’s sunset “ceremony” was really fun. Sadly, the food was only mediocre. For the price, we expected better quality and service. We both had the 8oz. Fillet with the optional addition of 4 prawns. We requested it cooked Medium Rare. It came over cooked, barely pink in the Center. The shrimp were seasoned nicely, but also a little dry.
As for the service , it was extremely slow. While we don’t like to be rushed, our dinner took two hours from start to finish. I had ordered a glass of wine to be served with my dinner. Our waiter forgot to deliver it. Then it took several minutes to get his attention to remind him.
On the plus side, we shared the Poke appetizer. It was absolutely delicious!
