Didn’t appreciate the long wait especially since we had a reservation. This is one of the few waterfront restaurants in Charleston consequently the place was jammed with much confusion exhibited at the front desk. Our server Mike was absolutely the best- great personality, very knowledgeable about the menu, and displayed a true sense of hospitality throughout our visit. Kudos Mike - hope to see you again. The food, as expected, was very good. Fried green tomatoes and hush puppies were delightful although slightly over cooked. The entrees - tuna, shrimp and grits, seafood pasta, and low country boil were nicely prepared and presented- kudos to the kitchen. Noise level was high due to the hardscape decor. Overall a nice experience with friends who were visiting with us. Put Fleet Landing on your list of places to try when in Charleston.
Great service! Enjoyed our meal, especially the fried green tomato BLT!
Thumbs up. Thumbs up. Thumbs up. Thumbs up. Thumbs up.
It was great sitting there. We had the best waitress who was always there asking if we needed anything. I couldn’t decide what I wanted and kept changing my mind. She recommended the swordfish and it was amazing. So tender and the sauce was great.
Food, service and atmosphere was excellent. Best meal we had in Charleston.
Just plain awesome. Server was very knowledgeable and helpful. Food was amazing
Great food and drinks. Love this place to take visitors to for a great night out. Cody was our waiter and did a great job! Highly recommend to all.
Excellent service. Wish we could remember her name. Great food and ambience. Everything arrived in a timely manner
Heard about this place from a friend so had to try it while here on vacation. Made reservations in advanced which made it much easier. The service was excellent as was the food and drinks. Had there not been so many other restaurants we want to experience in the Charleston area we would definitely go back and still may if time permits.😬
Great food and service....make sure someone orders the grits and shrimp!
This is a very nice restaurant. You will definitely want to make reservations in advance or you're in for a long, long...wait. Fortunately, we made reservations! The outside is nice and you do get to look out on the water. I gave it a 4 out of 5 stars because besides the murky water, there really isn't much to look at (although that's not the restaurant's fault.) Also, I will always deduct from any restaurant that does not train the waiter/waitress to introduce themselves. Why do they not say, "Hello. My name is...? anymore? I will always deduct if I have to ask their name, and that is a strike against management because the waitstaff here was nice and friendly. Overall, I would recommend this restaurant.
For lunch get there by 11:30 to park for free. Need reservation that you can make within the hour. After that there is a line and the parking lot is full and you have to pay. Food was great and so was the service.
Food was really good. Service was prompt and appropriate. Reservations are strongly recommended. Good view for one of the only waterfront places in Charleston. Good experience.
Very good seafood restaurant that has “local” feel and ambiance. Spot on service. Don’t miss the Huguenot tort dessert.
Food and server were phenomenal. Par for the course at Fleet Landing.
Shrimp and grits and the blackened fish sandwich was excellent! Fun place with a great view of the bay!!
The steak calamari is wonderful! As always the food and service was just awesome!
Good local place to go. Beautiful view of you sit outside. I had the Shrimp & Grits (rated best in Charleston) and enjoyed it.
The food was just C+ and I would not recommend this place for a special occasion
I booked my reservation to this restaurant two months in advance for my vacation to Charleston. The morning of our reservation I called the restaurant and asked them about their pet policy. I informed them I had an emotional support animal and I was told I could bring her. Upon my arrival to the restaurant I paid for parking and walked over to the restaurant. Before we even got through the door an extremely rude employee informed us we needed to leave with our dog. He suggested we go to a restaurant across the street instead. I was so upset that I had booked two months in advance, called the morning of my reservation to ask about the pet policy, told to bring her, and then turned away and told to go elsewhere.
I ended up leaving the restaurant and dropping my dog off at the hotel. We came back and the hostess apologized for the rude employee and the mistake. They gave us a nice table, nice server, and the food was good.
It was fun from start to finish. All hosts, bartenders and our server were gracious and knowledgeable. Loved it!
Everything was good. However, I’d recommend putting lumps of crab into the She Crab soup. It was pretty bland.
Bathrooms need help. Construction nearby didn’t help with the atmosphere
You can’t go wrong with Fleet Landing - everything was spectacular!
Server was a little slow and not as personable as expected but think he was just shy.
We loved our meal at table 108! Our server was awesome
With a superb indoor table, our meal was off to a great start. Our outstanding server Nicole made everything else really come together. We started with stuffed hush puppies and rum old fashioneds and moved on to crab cakes and shrimp and grits. Yum, yum, yum! Perfect Friday lunch!
Had reservations and was seated on time. Our waiter was excellent as so was our food.
The food was absolutely delicious. I would definitely recommend this to friends and family. I will be back next month.
Fleet Landing is currently under construction; the inside dining had very little air conditioning, and we visited in July. It was very hot, almost uncomfortable.
Excellent food, service, and parking. Great for families and fresh, local fare!
Fleet Landing was the best restaurant we went to in our time in Charleston! Reservations are needed, and at least a day in advance—when we went people were piling in masses at the door. The service was outstanding: the waitress was so sweet and helpful with accommodating my mom's lactose intolerance, and the server who brought our food was so great as well. The food itself was excellent as well: the baked cod was incredibly tender, and my order of shrimp and grits and she-crab soup were fantastic. They have multiple portion sizes (I'd say the smaller portion is good for one person; the bigger one is probably enough for two) and the prices range from quite affordable to slightly more pricey, so it was nice that they had options. Highly recommend!
Place is always the BEST!
We found everything at Fleet Landing just okay- not bad, not great. It had a very “touristy” feel.
We had a reservation and still waited 20 minutes. The male host didn’t pay attention and put down that we wanted first available despite asking for inside. He was telling some families that there was a 40-45 minute wait and then seating other families immediately (no groups had reservations). He was downright rude to some people. There was another young girl that was seating and she was also rude. Her personality was condescending.
On a better note, our serving Olivia was wonderful. She was very friendly and personable.
The crab dip wasn’t very good. However, the shrimp and grits was delicious.
Excellent all around. We had a great outdoor table overlooking the beautiful water. The food was delicious and the service was wonderful! Two thumbs up!
Amazing food, casual atmosphere, good water views.
Fabulous seafood platters, salmon, and shrimp and grits! Make reservations EARLY! Right on the water in downtown area.
We were visiting from MN and had made a reservation based on a recommendation from someone back home. The food did not disappoint! The flounder was amazing (coming from someone who never eats seafood) and our server was super friendly and helpful. Thanks!
Authentic Lowcountry fare with great value!
