Great service, awesome food...she-crab soup was outstanding
It wasn’t the best experience. We didn’t get the seats we requested when I made the reservation, and got some attitude about how they were saving it for people with reservations (even though I also made a reservation, and requested them in the reservation, so that was strange...). The food wasn’t great - felt like it was made in a rush. They also didn’t have shrimp, so that was disappointing. The service was great, though.
We enjoyed lunch very much. We sat outside and enjoyed the views. Our waiter was terrific and it was a fun time. Although they have a parking lot it is small and difficult to get in an out. There was a long line when we got there so reservations are a must. We had them and were seated as soon as we arrived.
Green beans were perfect; not too crunchy but not mushy
Had more flavorful red rice at another local restaurant the previous night.
Blackened triggerfish was over cooked dried out.
Blackened shrimp was good.
Biscuits were tender and fluffy.
Fleet Landing is one of my favorite lunch spots in Charelston.
My fav spot to eat when arriving in Charleston! Love it
This place came recommended by friends as well as being featured on a television show on Charleston cuisine. Thankfully, we made a reservation as this place seems to always be busy. My husband and I went for lunch, got a great seat by the window, and had an awesome and personable server. We tried some of their famous she-crab soup (that comes with additional sherry)and it was so delicious. I had a crab cake sandwich, my husband had a trigger fish sandwich and both were great. We will definitely return next time we're in Charleston.
Great lunch - had the Wednesday Fried Chicken special and enjoyed the view watching dolphins. Arrived before the rush but still needed to wait for our lunch from the kitchen.
Have been here average times and have NEVER been disappointed. The food and atmosphere are fantastic!
Great food, great setting!
We had a reservation, but with the number of people willing to wait an hour and a half to be seated we thought we had pick a great place. Unfortunately, not so. The place was very loud and the food was average. We had a very attentive waiter and service was quick, but for $100.00 meal I expected a lot more.
Waitress was great! Food was delicious!
Great fresh seafood and wonderful service! It’s a Charleston must!
Two couples lunching together. Wait was long for those without reservations, but our Open Table reservations got us seated promptly. Good variety of seafood options. Was expecting more with the SheCrab soup, but all of our party was pleased with their food choices.
We went with our two kids, one of which has food allergies. Our server was very accommodating, suggesting options they could serve us before we even asked. All of our food was absolutely amazing, even the kids “plain grilled chicken breast” and fries. Perfectly cooked and seasoned.
Nice dinner with a great view. Would return if ever in Charleston.
Nice people good food
Great seafood (and other things too), great service, and awesome atmosphere when you sit outside. Make a reservation! The waits tend to be long, but we scheduled it a week or two ahead of time and walked right in.
The service was prompt & our server had several recommendations for drinks & dinner.
I brought two friends from Argentina and we had a great time! We enjoyed some delicious favorites (shrimp and grits), while sitting on the outdoor patio. I would imagine the outdoor patio can get very hot in summer, but it was a beautiful spring day.
We love Fleet Lansing and drop in every time we’re in Charleston. Local fresh catch, awesome peel-n-eat, great location and a view of the harbor. Definitely worth the stop.
Outstanding food and service!
We had Awesome experience at this restaurant while on vacation. Hands down some of the best seafood i have ever tasted and the customer service was excellent!
Experience was great, food was phenomenal, service was good.
This is my family's favorite place to eat in Charleston (and we live in Charleston). The view is amazing the food quality is top notch.
We heard so many positives about going here on Our trip to Charleston. I will say that I was SO LET DOWN! We purposely went for lunch, made a reservation the day before. It was over 45 minutes after Our reservation that We were seated. As soon as the menus were in front of Us, We were pressured for drink orders etc. While the waiter was a little flexible, it was still so rushed. We heard about the stuffed hush puppies and went for it! Another LET DOWN. They came out in about 2 minutes and were stone COLD. TERRIBLE. We literally had just started to taste them and our food came out. WAY TOO RUSHED! I understand places are busy, but this was RIDICULOUS! I would highly recommend you don't bother. SO NOISY, PUSHY WAITSTAFF and COLD FOOD. DO NOT GO!
My mom visited from Caribou, Maine and she wanted to return here for the “fried oyster pi-boy” and Fleet did not disappoint. We had a reservation for when they open at 11:00 and by the time we left, there was a waiting line. This place packs them in for sure. A former naval station turned restaurant. Updated and nautical in an unassuming way. View and food amazing...seating inside or out. Parking can be a challenge, only one way in and you have to back out. Manager(?) made his rounds to make sure all was good. Definitely a favorite!
Although the noise level was unsettling and we had to almost yell to one another, the food, service, appearance and location made for a wonderful evening with friends.
Collard greens and pimento cheese grits are amazing!
The hushpuppy appetizer was awesome, and the fish tacos were fresh and delicious. Our meals were great and we will be back
Decent seafood with a view of the harbor. Not overly priced. Popular with tourists but locals visit, too.
I really like the story behind this restaurant. The decor was great and the food was awesome. I had the shrimp and grits and the tartare appetizer. I would order both again. Try to book early as the wait times here are long. I also would like to try outdoor dining when it is a little warmer.
The Service and views were great but food is overated.
The blackened shrimp and grits were good. Drinks bad but nice atmosphere
Our family of three went here while on vacation. The waterfront location and casual atmosphere looked like a perfect fit - especially after 2 high-end dinners the previous 2 nights. Well, this definitely was a “get-em-in and get-em-out” experience. We were in and out in less than 40 minutes! Despite having ordered 2 appetizers, entrees, and both adults having 2 drinks apiece! This was not a “lunch hour rush” special, so I would’ve hoped for better timing and a more leisurely experience. The bar area looked more fun. The food was fine - but it was muted by the rushed service.
Great food and service, nice variety of items on the menu. Our food was excellent, service excellent and the restaurant has a "fun feeling. Highly recommend Fleet Landing, service and food is better than most of it's expensive competitor's.
Stopped here after our carriage ride around Charleston SC and before our tour of Ft Sumter. HIGHLY recommend reservations as it got busy when we arrived at 12:30. We had made reservations and were seated and served quickly. Food was delicious. Staff friendly. I had an excellent carved turkey sandwich with brie/cranberry sauce/pecans and spouse had seasoned shrimp which he said was delicious. Great location on the water. Limited parking on site but 1 block down on Cumberland St is a parking garage. Inside appearance is much nicer that the exterior as it looks like an old shipping dock but it has character and good food.
I love this place. Had a half dozen oysters that were from Bulls Bay and tried the soft shell crab BLT which was phenomenal. James did a great job naming the specials and the drinks. He took really good care of us and was on top of everything.
