Fleet Landing Restaurant & Bar is Charleston's Best Waterfront Dining with a focus on local and sustainable produce and seafood. Housed in a 1940s retired naval building on the east side of the Charleston peninsula, Fleet Landing features Chef Drew Hedlund's fusion of classic and contemporary Southern seafood fare in a setting that celebrates the area's waterfront heritage. Options include the parking lot in front of the restaurant (a rarity in historic downtown Charleston), metered spaces on Concord Street, the parking garage across the street, and a paid flat lot directly next door.
The Downtown Area Shuttle Waterfront loop runs from Waterfront Park (half a block away from the restaurant) to the Aquarium and the visitor's center every 40 minutes from 9:20-6:00.

This was our weekly date night. We have been here once before and finally got a chance to return. It was of course restaurant week and we wanted to take advantage of the specials. The food was excellent except for the dessert. The torte was burnt. I felt like they didn't put as much care in to it because it was part of a deal.
Chose this place based on being waterfront and previous reviews but wasn't impressed by food. Atmosphere was good, seating on time as reserved. Happened to be restaurant week so two of us chose to select from that menu. Waitress had no idea about how wine pairings worked. Artichoke dip, hush puppies and lump crab bruchetta were good. Charleston Shrimp & Grits were not great and Flounder with (too sweet) sauce wasn't good. Drinks came slow and after a very long wait towards the end of our dinner, got the second glass of wine. Chocolate Torte was delivered without any mention when I had really ordered another desert originally (long time ago) with the order for all 3 courses; when asked then was told they ran out of it. Final blow was a hair on top of the key lime pie. Adjustment was made to our total for the hair but that wasn't the point - overall not impressed!
Fleet Landing continues to be at the top of our favorites list of Charleston restaurants. It continues to offer exception dishes at reasonable(ish) prices served by polite and knowledgeable waitstaff. Lunch is a particular value. Try the Shrimp & Grits or the Fried Green Tomato BLT.
Our server was attentive and had our food out within 10 minutes of ordering. The hush puppies were delicious and the shrimp and grits awesome! My aunt was on a restricted diet and was able to find the perfect meal here (2 veggies and a perfect portion of fish). I’ve heard it’s the only waterfront dining in Charleston, so it’s definitely a good pick for the view!
Three different meals, which were all great-one vegan, catch of the day, and crab cakes. Local fare was very tasty as were the hot biscuits. Our waiter, Bentley, was very professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. He helped to make the evening great for us. This is the place to dine if you are looking for casual dining, wonderful seafood, and great service.
Honestly our son recommended this so many times for fish tacos on Fridays that he forced to go on our latest trip to Charleston

When we had them it seemed every table was having SheCrab soup and fish tacos
Outstanding afternoon and experience
Restaurant week is one of our favorite events hosted in Charleston! Though it's meant to try new restaurants with a 3-4 course meal for a deal, we always start with Fleet Landing! No disappointment here! Hush puppies, flounder and low country boil were all to die for!
We enjoyed our dinner at Fleet Landing. The food was cooked to perfection and the wait staff was great. We sat at the bar while waiting for our table and struck up a conversation with the bartender. The Calamari was the best I’ve had and the seafood gumbo was delicious. We have been there several times and recommend the Shrimp and grits as well as the flounder and scallops. Fleet Landing met my expectations. We ate at this restaurant on NYE with a reservation. Some things on the menu seemed a little pricier than necessary, but the food was very good. We enjoyed a couple of their cocktails as well. The salmon was delicious, and my friend enjoyed her shrimp, but commented that the portion could have been a little larger for the price. Overall a very nice experience and the atmosphere was casual with a little upscale feel.
Our first time there and we went for lunch. Make sure you make a reservation. Our waiter (Lucas) was very knowledgeable with the menu and his suggestions were right on target. He kept an eye on our table. We didn’t have to ask for anything, water, wine. On top of everything. Fried oysters were awesome and we also recommend the mahi-mahi with red rice and collards also the cod w/lemon and veggies were the bomb! A must go to restaurant if your in Charleston. We also watched a Cruise ship leave the port and cruise down the river.
I have been here often for business lunches and wanted my mom to experience it also when we were visiting for fun. It’s not the fanciest place in town but the view is unbeatable and we had an awesome table right by the window. And, as super busy as they always are, the guy who seated us remembered me which was nice. I enjoyed the great She Crab soup with sherry and salad with crab cake. My mom loved her baked cod. Always a great experience and look forward to coming back soon especially when it’s warmer and we can enjoy great outdoor seating!
