About Flavio's Brick Oven Bar
Our casual restaurant has a retro contemporary theme which includes a carved wood bar topped with marble, granite table tops and bright turquoise and red accents flanking the wood-burning brick oven. Terrace seating is shared with our fine dining concept Bella Roma.
Flavio, a third-generation chef from Venice, Italy, says his Farinata is not available anywhere else in the area. The thin pancake (much like a tortilla) is made of chickpeas, baked in the wood-burning oven and enhanced with rosemary and other savory toppings.
Among Flavio's thin-crust pizzas (his grandfather's recipes) are the popular Quattro Stagioni (fresh mozzarella, mushrooms, prosciutto, olives) and the Pizza Vegetariana with assorted grilled veggies. The rustic bread and focaccia are made on the premises. Flavio's also serves up house-made pasta dishes, plus veal and seafood entrees.
We look forward to serving you!

Flavio's Brick Oven Bar Ratings and Reviews
The name is a little deceiving, it's way more than just brick oven pizza! I had the veal piccata and my son has the spaghetti carbonara then we split the meals so we could each have some of both. Both dishes were prepared perfectly and were sooooooo good! Our server did a fantastic job! We have eaten here many times and have never been disappointed. I highly recommend Flavios Brick Oven Pizza.
Joseph, who was our Server, was excellent as usual. His appetizer recommendations were spot on. As was the special, Salmon Lasagna. My wife had the risotto dish and was very pleased. Our friends were also pleased with the service and the food. The only disappointment was that there was no acknowledgement of our wives birthdays. I had put a note in our reservation that we were celebrating a double birthday, but it must have been overlooked. Look forward to dining here again.
Flavio's was surprisingly good. We didn't expect much from it's location in a strip mall, but had heard that the pizza was very good. And I'm on a mission to find the perfect Margarita pizza. Their happy hour has a nice assortment of plates for $9, and my husband got the eggplant rollatini, which he enjoyed. For dinner, our friends had the lasagna and fettucini carbonara, which both said were excellent. My husband had a pasta dish in tomato sauce. All portions were sufficient that there was plenty to take home. The dough on my pizza was excellent. Toppings flavorful. My only complaint is to me - a margarita pizza is slices of tomato and slices of mozzarella. I have yet to find a restaurant here that makes one like that. Servers were knowledgeable and friendly, so definitely worth a return trip.
Flavio's is our favorite restaurant on Siesta Key and we patronize it as often as we can when we're on the key. The food is consistently good, the service is always good, they have a very good wine list, and it's a very friendly place to dine. We will definitely return on our next trip to Siesta Key in October.
Absolutely the worst veal saltimbocca I have ever tasted. I know prosciutto is salty but this meal was so salty it was inedible. The veal was like shoe leather. Waiter brought our meals to us and then disappeared for and eternity. Would have liked another beer to wash out the salt taste. Never got a chance to order it.
Every time we are on Siesta Key, we go to Flavio's: authentic Italian food served by fun waiters. For us, dining outside is a must, and Flavio's does a great job of hiding the fact that it is on the 2nd floor of an outside mall! Fun to dine and listen to the music of nearby (but not too) bars.
The food was terrific but the potions are a little too large. There should be a seniors menu or perhaps serve half portions. There is not always a place to safely store leftovers when one is just visiting and it seems a shame to waste half a portion. Please give this issue some thought especially when there's so many hungry, poor people.
We were setted by the bar, way too close. The noise level made conversation very difficult especially with one member of our party being hard of hearing. No tap beer! The waiter was energetic and friendly, but missed on our order. We had to wait for one of our entrees to be replaced. My wifes dinner was tepid, not hot. We mostly ordered specials not knowing the price and were surprised when we got the bill.
It was worth an attempt to find a new find (first time there), but it is our last stop there.
This was our third time here. Our family picks a special place to eat on our vacation. This was our families choice .
This year the food was once again amazing. Our service was horrible. He was inattentive, rude, and unsocial.
For the quality of this c restaurant, it was unacceptable.
Sad to say, this will no longer be our special place.
First time at Flavio's and we will be back again perhaps for the Brick Oven Pizza and Happy Hour.
Authentic Italian from all regions of Italy.
I had the Orechietta al la Barese. Pasta Ears from the Pulia Region of Italy and it was authentic made with Rapini and Sausage in an Olive Oil base. My wife had Grouper which she said was excellent.
Service was a little show and uneven. I think the waiter was new. He was not Italian as most appeared to be.
Usually thrilled with this restaurant. Love the food, love the service. Actually second time we ate here this week. The service wasn't as great as usual. Waiter was less than great. 2 of us ordered lasagna and both found it excessively salty. I red red the clams and pasta with a special request for a spicy tomato sauce. It was fabulous as was rhe tuna tartar appetizer. The fourth party had the seafood and pasta special and loved it. The waiter brought us a couple of complimentary Tiramisus to make up for the bad lasagnas.
