Flanagan's is always great. The fries with curry sauce are as delicious as I remembered!
Was there on March 16th for dinner so the craziness of the 17th was just starting. Food was great and server was very attentive and helpful even though it was crowded. Overall a great place and will be back again!
Flanagan's does not use OPEN Table for reservations. When we arrived the bartender rudely informed me I should have called a week in advance for a table. Why are you listed if you don't use it & learn to be nice to people.
Loved the happy hour specials and wonderful service!
If you want to have a good time, listen to the consistently best live local bands in Bethesda and dance the night away, you'll do no better than Flanagan's Harp & Fiddle.
Good local place with bands and an outdoor area for smokers; good Irish food as well as a good steak option
Good food, nice mix of Irish beers, standard pub ambiance.
The food was mediocre, the service was horrible, and the entire place was so hot that it was almost entirely unbearable! We waited for over 35 minutes for food we ordered. The waitress never offered water refills or checked on us at all. I was hoping for more.
The place was almost empty when we visited. The beer was cold, and the food was good. Our server was very attentive.
I enjoyed seeing Sanford and Lena Markley perform, but in the future will grab a bit to eat elsewhere. I don't mind waiting a long time when a kitchen is slammed. My complaint is not about the wait. It has to do with my Reuben. Where's the beef?? It "featured" two little slices of what I think was corned beef. Everything else was fine and luckily I'm packing enough extra weight that the lack of substance between the bread won't affect my survival. Plenty of other good food options a short walk from this great music venue.
I really enjoyed the experience at Flanagan's Harp and Fiddle. We had reserved for 3 as we wanted to listen to Lena and Sandford Markley. We had a surprise extra and the restaurant made room for us. There was one main waitress who did an outstanding job and made us feel welcome. The restaurant is clean, the food is good, and the people were friendly.
Our group of six enjoyed our meals. Service was efficient. Great lunch find. Not too crowded.
Fun bar/ restaurant that usually has great music. Sunday nights Mary Ann Redmond and a great group of musicians usually play. It’s a show that should cost a great deal more but cover is only 5 dollars and they start early(7-7:30). So, you can eat hear some great music and be home for a good nights sleep before the start of the week!
It was packed for a Sunday night so the seemingly only server was quite busy. The food we had was delicious!!! But, a couple of minor items listed on the menu weren’t as advertised on the plate...thousand island dipping sauce seemed more like honey mustard and the brisket sandwich was on Texas toast instead of cornbread. Overall, yummy and I’d try it again!
Looking for Breakfast options on Open Table and I booked breakfast reservations at 10:15 am. We get there and it was closed and they told us it didn't open until 11am. Not a big a big deal, however, why would the establishment say they were open when it wasn't?
Great live music. Food was surprisingly good. Lively crowd of all ages.
Mary Ann Redmond and her band are terrific -- blues, jazz, rock -- a DC gem
The band was excellent! Cathy Ponton-King and each member of her band were super-good musicians, and kept people dancing & smiling.
A really nice venue in a great restaurant/club scene area of Bethesda. Good Irish pub ambience with a solid Irish pub menu. Sunday night music was an outstanding blues/indie-style foursome - each a great musician in their own right.
Loved Mary Ann Redmond! Came from Arlington to see her and will be back to see her.
A lot of character. True Irish pub with no phony frills.
Wonderful and friendly service
Fabulous neighborhood music venue😃
Came specifically to hear Mary Ann Redmond, but was pleased with the service and the atmosphere. Nice people, great place! Our waitress was wonderful!
Early Friday dinner. Large group of 20ish male/females near by. Loud and using not for public language excessively and aggressively. Brought atmosphere down. Ate and left quickly.
we try to go every time "the Leftovers" is playing.
Came to here the entertainment Gina's Soul Party - enjoyed very much
My friend and I were in search of a place to watch Euro 16 soccer--this place was great. Big TVs, Fun atmosphere and decent pub food. Friendly neighborhood feel.
Great fun, entertainment for a group!
Good variety of appetizers to share with all.
Good Irish food. Great live music with the Mary Ann Redmond Band on Sunday nights. Friendly staff. Reasonable prices.
We went for dinner and show. Mary Ann Redmond performs there just about every Sunday. The food was good and well prepared . Our waitress was very attentive and the drinks quick.
Four of us went to dance and listen to a new band LeftoversDc. The music was fanstastic. for such young men their Genre was all over the place. It suited young and us oldies as well. Our server Fatima was the best. She suggested the beef turnovers as an appetizer and even the pickiest eater of our group loved them. The Fish Tacos I had were made to perfection. My husband had the Chicken over orzo/spinach salad that was very tasty. We have been here in the past and will return again, especially if the "LeftoversDC" are playing. Thank you Harp & Fiddle for an enjoyable evening.
Overall very nice! Food was very good Irish fare. Good price & v value. Will be back.
Had a great lunch on a Sunday. The place was quiet and we watched soccer on the tele. I had a Guinness and my wife had a Strongbow - the food, a burger and a reuben, were good.
