Flaherty's Seafood Grill & Oyster Bar
Had a reservation no real process or honor of the online reservations. Owner sat people without seeing others who had been waiting and did not ask the host. Food quality extremely poor. Seafood was basically like frozen fish in a location that would be expected to have fresh high quality seafood. Paid 28.00 for a small bowl of lettuce and awful small pre-seasoned shrimp and dried out crab. Disgusting. Shame as it was the most costly meal the entire visit to Carmel. Avoid this tourist trap with poor quality and valued food.
Good location in downtown and nice wine list, however would not eat here again. Sat outside and all the tables (we needed 4 for our party) were wobbly or broken and sat at an angle. Food was mediocre, staff seemed annoyed.
The food is good but the restaurant looks worn out. We’ve been here several times over the years and the food has been consistently delicious. The service is always hit and miss. The tables feel sticky, the restrooms aren’t cleaned regularly and the restaurant looks dirty. I wish the management would pay more attention to the details.
The lobster BLT should be a feature!!! It’s delicious!
Amazing fresh food. It's our thirt time to have lunch here, and we love it !
The food was far below expectation
the staff was so awesome, the food was so awesome, and the restaurant was exceptional!
The restaurant seemed to be more concerned with seating walk ins rather than those with reservations. I observed this happening repeatedly while waiting for our table. We’d arrived earlier than our reservation time because we were walking by after shopping. We were told we could not be seated early which was understandable. We told the host we’d return at the reservation time which we did. When we checked in the host said “Oh, you came back” in a rather grouchy, unwelcoming voice. We were rather taken back. Eventually, we were seated. We saw our server once when she took our order and once directly after to check on us. We had to ask for our bill after waiting quite some time. The food was fine, but that’s all.
Excellent food and service. Hope to visit again soon.
My husband and I had the lobster bisque which was outstanding! We ate here 2 nights it was such amazing food. I had the halibut dish which was so delicious! My husband had lobster ravioli. We enjoyed oysters both nights as well. Great service from Brandon the second night even though they were short staffed. Would definitely go back.
Owner has an attitude. Found the staff and quality of food mediocre. My group had been there 3 nights over the past week. 2k at least. At the end of our trip as a single - tonight -I show up with a reservation. After I checked in, He started whining about servers calling in sick by text -implying I was being demanding for asking to sit and get some water. He took walk ins before me intentionally because I was alone- another insult. Being rude to a customer with reservations when a tribe of walk ins ascends is uncool. It's hospitality right? With hands on hips barking "don't you know who I am?"and telling me he has better places to be. This little man knew how to yell, diminish and patronize. Not a good look for a restauranteur who doesn't.care about repeat customers #sad #greed#entitled#shouldntinterfacewithcustomers
It was a pleasant outside venue and the food was excellent. Our waiter was attentive and accommodating.
Didn’t get any service til we’ve been seated for 15 minutes, waitress made the excuse that she’s helping another wait staff… gave us our first drink on the house…… after the damage is done. Remember 1st impression last. If she came to us early on and said what she’s up against, we would have understood, we don’t need a free drink, we can afford, yea it is nice what she did in payment foe us waiting! But even the food took too long to be served, good thing it was worth waiting for. Btw, this is not our 1st time here in this establishment. Just think if you’re the client and you wait that long before you at least get acknowledged.
Good place for nice selection of seafood. Good wine selection by the glass. Nice dog-friendly outdoor seating. Avoid the "alleyway" seating, which is pretty dark and claustrophobic.
We were greeted by a gracious waitress and seated by a cute window facing the street in Carmel. We both ordered and enjoyed fish & chips for a late lunch. The fish was very fresh with a crispy coating. The French fries were delicious with a delicious seasoning on them. We look forward to returning to Flaherty’s!
Casual setting. A little too much ambient noise.
First time, great time. We loved the atmosphere when we walked in the door. The menu has a lot to offer. We had paella and crab cakes. The food was fresh and cooked perfectly. We'll be back next time in San Diego.
Service was a bit slow but overall acceptable because they are low on staff. The only thing we didn’t like was the chowder. I’ll pass on that next time.
everything was great. especially the cioppino and fish tacos.
We were seated very quickly but the service went downhill from there. I never received my appetizer or beverage and couldn't flag down anyone for assistance. The food was pretty good but the lack of service ruined it for me.
Good value due to the fact we got a Groupon for the oyster and drinks. Otherwise, might not be.
The seafood Paella is excellent. The seafood mixed grill is so so, and clam chowder has way too much potatoes.
Service was slow and our meal was late. Some of the food was cold and greasy. Overall not a fan!
Rodney provides excellent service and even made special martinis for us. It was a delightful dining experience. Highly recommend the clam chowder. we will be back...
We arrived 30 minutes early for our reservation and was seated within 10 minutes
We have been here multiple times and have the same experience every time. Food is pretty good, our server was great but the mana
We loved oysters and seared Ahi Tuna. Excellent!
We were sat in an aisle way where the servers & patrons constantly walked through, it felt like sitting on the aisle seat of a plane.
When food finally began to arrive at the table, we were met with nearly frozen butter for the bread to start things off.
Next, we were served barely warmed Clam Chowder. After a bite of the chowder, it was sent back. We paid for the pop that was drank & exited the establishment.
The Cippino is a must. The service is excellent.
Great clam chower and great views!
The customer service was excellent. The food was delicious and the right amount. The crabcakes were fresh and tasty. The salmon was not salty and the ahi was perfectly seared will come back. Thanks
Good portions! The crab chowder was really yummy!
The (I believe) owner sat us quickly in outdoor seating which was good, but then it took quite a while for the waitress to come take our drink orders. We noticed people inside getting a much faster turnaround. The owner walked through and noticed all 3 tables where we were seated didn't have bread, which they give to all guest, and poof a runner came rushing out with bread for everyone. The food was just okay. Pretty much the owner is the only reason I gave as many stars as I did. The oysters on the half was the best item we ordered.
Nice outdoor seating with heater. Enjoyed their chopping and the other guests
Would not recommend this restaurant. We were extremely uncomfortable, it was dirty the staff and manager wasn’t very nice to guests even who had reservations. The ambiance inside felt like a dirty dive bar, food looked mediocre at best. There are SO many amazing restaurants in the area, don’t go here.
The waiter didn’t attend us timely. I was dissatisfied with the service, the flavor of food and the price. Gratuity was automatically added when not deserved.
Had a great meal and great service!
Waited a while for a table we had reservations for, then they were so overwhelmed and busy, they wanted to literally put a table in the middle of the sidewalk to seat us.
Then we were told we’d get a free dessert for waiting for long, ended up being charged for it on the bill.
The food is decent but the paella was not proper paella at all. It was rice and sauce. Less than impressed.
The Manager was not a very
