Flagler Steakhouse Ratings and Reviews
I made reservations here for our anniversary dinner. It was nothing but a pleasure. Our server was attentive and gave great recommendation upon our asking. We had the blackened ribeye and the petite filet mignon with baked potato and mashed potato respectively, and an order of roasted asparagus for the table. We both agreed that this may have been the best steak experience we’ve ever hade. The cuts of meat were perfect, flavorful, and well cooked to order. To top it off we received a complimentary glass of champagne from the establishment which was sweet. We proceeded to have dessert and ordered a French press for coffee, to which I can say the chocolate layer cake was a great choice. The kitchen garnished the cake with a white chocolate placard that said “Happy Anniversary”. We ended up having to take the cake home because it was too large to finish, but too good to waste. We can only thank everyone involved for making our night out so special and we definitely have plans to return.
This was our second time at The Flagler Steak House. The first time we all ate steak...this time we all had fish. The Chilean Sea Bass was delicious, but three of us ordered Branzino and all three were very dry.
The blue crab dumplings were delicious...they should be moved up to entree, and the onion soup was superb. The Kale salad was mediocre as was the steamed spinach that did not appear to be or taste like fresh steamed spinach.
The service was not up to par for the Breaker's reputation.
With all of the superb restaurants in the Palm Beach area, we all agreed that the Flagler dinner was mediocre at best.
My wife and I ALWAYS have an enjoyable and relaxing dinner at this iconic restaurant. The staff is top-notch and professional; the food is absolutely delicious and fresh; and the ambience is simply gorgeous and mood-setting. WE LOVE THIS GREAT PLACE and its entire management team and staff.
We chose this restaurant because it was upscale, and had a great reputation. We had a special guest visiting us, and we dressed up for the occasion. Food, ambiance, and service were top shelf. We knew it was more expensive, so it wasn't a shock, but be prepared. The steaks and seafood we ordered were exceptional. The restaurant is quiet enough to have a nice conversation without shouting across the table, which added nicely to the overall experience. This is definitely a 5 star restaurant! Highly recommended!
I was disappointed. For the price they charge, the food should have been outstanding. It was good. That's it. My bone-in filet was Medium Well, but came out a bit dry. The mashed potatoes were lukewarm so the plate probably sat for a while before being served.
The heirloom tomato salad was bland. Very little cheese, and there was barely any dressing on them. I think others at the table were happy with their plates. The Brussels sprouts were good, but
Sat outside and it was beautiful
At end of dinner I felt sick and light headed
Restaurant was on top of it right away
Alex and his staff were super
Next day he called to see how I was feeling
What a nice thing to do
Only reason I gave service a 3 star was because the unintentionally spilled wine all over our friend - should have done something more than just offer to dry clean it
Superb Christmas dinner. Fixed price menu that definitely offered something for everyone for each of the three courses. Although every table was filled, this restaurant operated like a well-oiled machine -- flawless service and incredible food. Not a cheap date, but worth every penny.
It is misleading to have this restaurant shown on line as a part of The Breakers hotel when it is really across the street from the hotel. It has been a dream for my mother in law to dine at The Breakers and while the restaurant was very good, it was not on the property as we had been lead to believe. on line. It was also overpriced for the experience. We would have gladly paid $100 per plate at the hotel itself. In addition, despite the fact that we ate there, we were not even permitted to visit the hotel unless we elected to ride the shuttle there from the restaurant, which was not possible, due to the health of my mother in law.
We enjoyed Christmas Eve brunch at the Flagler Steakhouse. All was very nice. There was a pre fixed menu and we all enjoyed the food. The size of the chocolate cake was a bit outrageous and would have been nice if the table was sharing it - since everyone’s brunch came with desert it was too large.
The brunch price was high as one would expect at the Breakers and we were fine with that. It is too bad they charged so much for tea, coffee and the one scrambled egg we asked for our 10 month old. Tea and coffee should have been included in the price. Otherwise it was a very nice experience.
When we all got in the car. Every person said, that was an amazing meal. Everything was timed perfectly, cooked to perfection, and could have not had any better of a meal at Holiday time. Even the ambiance was fun with our neighbor table having a birthday party. They definitely raise the bar for all other restaurants in the area. And that is from 5 people who are all very picky, and used to fine dining in NYC. Congratulations, I️t is hard to impress us. Would come back again and again.
This is a restaurant that is part of The Breakers Hotel, although it is across the street. As a result, you will pay more than the meal, service or atmosphere warrant. The food was good, but not great enough for a piece of sea bass to be worth $49.00. For these prices I would expect the service to be exceptional. It was not. It was adequate at best. The young woman that served us could not find the wine on the menu, even though I specified the bin number. We finally had to point it out to her. She would occasionally disappear for 20 minutes at a time. It is nice enough inside, but again, not exceptional. They have a checkered red and white valence over the windows that gives the place a pizza parlor feel. I really didn't care for the background music they played which was swing from the 40's and jazz. I prefer something more romantic. Normally a bottle of wine is priced at about twice the retail cost. It was three times the retail price there.
The saving grace for the evening was a piece of key lime pie, which was very good ($15.50) and French pressed coffee which was great ($7.50).
I would recommend the place if the prices were cut by about a third. I have been to several very nice restaurants that were worth the price. Unfortunately, this one simply does not measure up.
Incredible meal and service. Kristy took great care of us and had impressive attention to detail. We had the stuffed shrimp and rib-eye and they were both exceptional - haven’t had meals like this anywhere else. The outside seating is wonderful - perfect temperature control and beautiful scenery. Thank you for a wonderful evening!
The overall experience was perfect! We were celebrating our anniversary and the staff doted on us and even gave us a complimentary glass of champagne. We had soup, salad, the tomahawk steak PLUS the best key lime pie we’ve ever had!! Highly recommend it and plan on going back when back in the Palm Beach area!
We had an outstanding experience. This was a business dinner and our staff was friendly, energetic, attentive, and engaged in our happy and laid back back and forth banter. The food was exceptional and perfectly cooked. The wine list was thoughtfully created and included fantastic options from around the world. The Italian list was not as expansive as other regions but offer tremendous choices and value. In fact the price to value in the wine selections were better than the price to value in the food prices. This being said, everything from appetizers to main course, sides and desserts exceeded all expectations.
The ambiance was fabulous and was not like typical stakehouses that are dark and stuffy. This place takes you back in time to a beautiful country club setting that is open and colorful.
This is a must see/eat place in your West Palm adventure.
