The service was impeccable and the service was exceptional. We can’t wait to go back again.
All four of us had an exceptional meal and service was superb
As usual, our dinner date was spectacular. Although our service got off to a slow start, Alex, the manager, made up for it. Food was delicious and the server was gracious and attentive. My wife left happy again, which is all that matters.
Flagler has some of the best steaks I’ve ever had. Their chocolate cake is also extremely good! I would highly recommend Flagler for a special occasion, birthday, anniversary or date.
Exceptional as always. Great ambiance!
They never disappoint. Great ingredients, great service and their free dive ipa alone is worth making a trip.
As always, lunch was delicious. I have never had a bad meal here and the waiters and waitresses are always helpful and polite.
The Breakers used to be one of my highly regarded hotels for food and beverage. Sadly, this experience at The Flagler and a dinner at the seafood bar have caused me to think the hotel has really lost its way. Our brunch was beyond disappointing in every way. They are disorganized with a very mediocre product even running out of cream cheese for the smoked salmon brunch special leaving me with a hard bagel. My guest’s dish was undercooked and while the staff are nice it is not good enough to be nice with a guaranteed 18% tip when glasses are empty, long waits, etc.
The restaurant’s physical space used to be impeccable and now the tile outside is dirt, unbussed tables and what reflects a lack of caring but management.
I was disappointed in our waitress, she was not professional. She seemed as if she had just started and was still memorizing the script. Her interaction with us was so forced and rehearsed. The service was ok, but far below what it should have been in such a reputable restaurant. Overall the evening was a bit of a disappointment and I would not return or recommend it the restaurant to others.
We had a fantastic experience, the Breakers grounds were fantastic to walk around before our reservation. I recommend a later reservation and give yourself time to walk around the huge hotel, Oceanside across the street, and golf area near Flagler‘s
Incredible steakhouse with all the upscale treatment you would expect from The Breakers. My girlfriend and I actually did not get steak, I got the lobster tails and my girlfriend got a seafood dish as well. We also enjoyed the bacon brussel sprouts and lobster ravioli appetizer. Service was exceptional. We requested outdoor seating overlooking the golf course and West Palm Beach in the distance, which was obliged by the staff. This is certainly reserved for a special occasion (at least for me), but well worth it! And definitely do not skip the key lime pie for dessert.
Day on the porch overlooking the golf course. Steaks and fish were prepared to perfection. Stayed well after everyone else had left, staff was at ease and still attentive.
Wonderful dining experience!
The Flagler Steak House serves the best steak on the island. Period. Excellent sides, wonderful service and great atmosphere. We will be back!
This was my third time dining here. As always the service and food was excellent
One of the most consistent steak houses around Palm Beach. Weather permitting, we prefer alfresco dining
although the dining room is beautiful.
This was our third visit to the Flagler Steakhouse. The first time we visited everything was flawless, which I would expect from the most expensive steakhouse in Palm Beach. The second time the food was really off. On our third visit, for my wife's birthday, service at IHop far exceeded our service at Flagler Steakhouse.
Our waiter Dave (or David) disappeared after appetizers - My wife's wine glass was empty, my bottle of Pellegrino was empty and our entrees were lost in the Kitchen. After not seeing Dave or anyone else for over half an hour he pops up to tell us he spoke to the manager to speed up our order. Why everyone around us was getting served diner and we weren't, double-talking Dave never provided an answer.
My wife enjoyed herself despite our waiter and my frustration. I will never suggest the Flagler Steakhouse again. I'll go back if she wants to, but not with much enthusiasm.
For the cost, my expectation is that each component of the dinning experience to be flawless.
We have been to Flagler Steakhouse once before and had a great meal. So good we would spend the extra money and go back. What a disappointment this night was, as we brought 2 guests who have never eaten there before to try it. The food that evening was sub par at best. You would expect better and more consistent food preparation. It was like the Chef went home early and sous chef was out sick that night. First issue, we asked if anything came with our steaks and the waiter said, NO. And when the steaks came...cold & overcooked Asparagus came on a plate next to it. (None of us at the table eat asparagus). So we ordered 3 additional side vegetables for the table. Second, three of us ordered the exact same piece of meat cut, all the same price. I got a 1" thick piece of meat, the person next to me got a 2" thick piece and the other 2-1/2". We thought this belonged to another table and asked. They said no, they are all the same. Clearly these were not prime meats. I buy enough meat in my house to know quality, and what was worse, we asked what kind of meat before ordering... they told us it was grass fed. Grass fed beef does not have as much fat in it, as corn fed beef. These cuts had so much fat . Thirdly, baked potatoes were clearly under-cooked before and re-baked and disgusting inside.
Brussel sprouts were par-boiled first and then cooked again later on. Too soft and water logged. Onion rings were inedible because they were so oily nobody ate them...again appeared cooked twice. The only thing good was the corn. Given the meal was so bad, we decided against dessert. Who wants to add insult to injury. When we did not eat much of the food on our plates...I am surprised they did not ask us "why?". It's too bad the meal was like it was for our guests. A $750.00 bill for 4 adults, 1 kid, without a tip, no dessert, and no bottle of wine. I do not think our guests will come back, but I am sure they will tell their friends.
Absolutely phenomenal staff! Made us feel welcome and at our beckon call.
Food was exactly as describe by staff...and cooked just the way we requested.
I had the Filet Mignon...which I seldom have ever found as good as this was.
The only two very small drawbacks were an "old" odor to the place hence the 4 star rating.
The other drawback the tip was auto added.
I would rather add tip based on service,a suggestion is fine but I like to choose.
I was so pleased however,I added more to the tip.
Expect the prices to be about the same as a Ruth Chris....
I will defiantly go back for the next special occasion we have in our life!
Unfortunately, it was a very standard meal- the food needs updating. We had the valentines set menu so there wasn’t a huge choice but the food is a little simple and old fashioned. We all had the roast chicken for the main course, with mash and green beans, as we wanted chicken. It wasn’t anything special and just a very standard bland dish, pretty tasteless and definitely nothing to get excited about, nor a pretty dish. Nothing we couldn’t cook at home ourselves. I know we are in PB but we aren’t in the 80s any more. Staff are great, very attentive.
We’ve been to this restaurant many times, both for lunch and dinner. We have enjoyed it each time. We will certainly go back again
Wonderful food and service for the four of us on A busy Friday night. Only negative was the automatic tip of 20% which I was not told about but would have done anyway. Would (and have) recommend to others without any reservation.
Fantastic service delicious food. Great night. Staff was attentive and helpful . Great ambiance.
First time at this restaurant, and thought we were dining at the Breakers. This restaurant is OFF-SITE and not at the Breakers. We were not even allow to walk around the Breakers. Very disappointed as this was not indicated on the Breakers website. Would not recommend this establishment.
Great food. Stephanie our server was great
It never fails. We always leave happy and well taken care of. The steak is to die for
Service was perfect, food was outstanding and beautifully presented! Eating on the porch was lovely. Perfect spot for a special meal.
Told them it was my wife’s birthday and they didn’t do anything.
While I usually tip 20% I object to someone telling me that I should. When they
Brought the check they included 20% on food as well as on the wine. It was a $175 bottle of wine.
The food and service were excellent.
This is a very good steakhouse within walking distance of the Breakers, where we were staying. Menu has a good selection of salads, side dishes and steaks. The cooks know what rare means, which is a good thing. We sat outside which was very nice with a beautiful view (see photo). Inside was amazingly noisy and cold - I'd not want to eat in there. Service was attentive and non-intrusive but seemed to disappear near the end of the meal. If you're in Palm Beach and looking for a good cut of steak, drop on in.
100% recommend this venue for a good client appreciation dinner.
The apple pie was delicious and I'm not a pie fan. Great ambience and kid friendly; we had a great time
All was very acceptable except they delivered a creamed spinach and it was all over the table, never tried to clean it up. I laid a napkin down over the area.
Additionally, I felt very rushed at the end of night. We had an 8:45 reservation and finished at 1000 and felt like we were totally alone, like we should have turned out the lights.
Great steaks and other selections but would not recommend for vegetarians. The decor and lighting is comfortable and the veranda has beautiful views of the Breakers golf course. Wonderful if you can get a seating around sunset. Salads and sides are large enough to share but I wouldn't share my steak, they are too good.
My wife and I received a gift card as a present. We had two friends in from Washington, DC and we went to brunch. The restaurant itself is nice with a nice view of the golf course. Our server was polite and attentive. 3 of us had shrimp cocktail and 1 lobster bisque as our starter and that was excellent. 3 of us had eggs Benedict and I found mine to be mediocre. The ham was razor thin and the English muffin was grilled to death. My wife had the omelet and said it was pretty good. Everyone got the key lime pie and it was excellent. My friends had a cocktail and we had 2 coffees. The cost for those was over the top. Not worth $48.00 a head plus extra for any drink and a 20% service charge.
Great anniversary experience. Treated us special and food terrific. Outside evening dining on patio extra special.
Pricey, but Best meats. Usually top of the line in all categories, but fell a bit short this time.
It was terribly noisy and the cost of some of the drinks was outrageous.
It was not worth it. It’s not a fine presentation.
Great steaks. Super fresh ingredients. One of the few places around where you can actually have a conversation.
