Fix - Bellagio Ratings and Reviews
Our first trip to Las Vegas, we were so pleased with this delicious restaurant in the Bellagio hotel. Ambiance is romantic, the surf and turf done to perfection, the hot, fresh doughnuts for dessert ( with chocolate and peanut butter dipping sauce, and our server Tommy was great and took good care of us! Highly recommended,
Went there with BF on our third trip to Vegas, and overall experience was great! We didn't end up arriving until 9:50, and the place was still about 75% full with an energetic crowd. We ordered the shaved greens salad to start, and it was simple yet very delicious and a large portion. I will say that it is a bit overpriced - about 20% more pricey than I think it should be (i.e. a simple salmon dish should never cost over $40). Drinks were overpriced as well . This alone was not the reason I dropped review to 4 stars.
For entrees, I ordered the scallops ($42 for 3, served over a potato cake, topped w/ crab chunks and hollondaise) and it was truly one of the most delicious meals I have ever had the joy of eating. Here is the primary reason I dropped a star from the overall review: BF ordered the flank/skirt steak (can't remember) with the blue cheese crust, and unfortunately, it came out medium/medium well (he ordered it medium *rare*). He ended up sending it back and the server and manager were both gracious about it, but then - *the manager himself* brought out the replacement, and the blue cheese crust on this one was A) just some crumbles of blue cheese, and B) only on half the steak! This was shocking, given the high quality of the restaurant as a whole, to have these two things happen. While very nice, the manager did not offer to take anything off the bill. The second steak was cooked perfectly, and the sauces were very good, but I was pretty disappointed at the steak issues. Additinally, avoid the potato mash side - not flavorful or worth the money.
We ended on the smores dessert, and I would highly recommend. It was delicious!
Skirt steak cooked perfectly; lots of char just the way I love it. Creamed spinach was excellent; baby zucchini was perfectly cooked and a little spicy. They took the deviled eggs with truffle oil off the menu; bummer...they were luxurious. Ice Cream pops for dessert we're just the right size to finish the meal on a sweet note. Delicious meal!
7:30 reservation turned into a 7:50 seating. Walk ups were seated before us. We we seated next to casino floor with excessive amount of cigarette smoke blowing our way. Food was average at best with the only appetizing item being their house steak sauce. Would not recommend eating here.
We came to The Fix prior to our "O" show. Originally I thought the wine list was small, but I have to say that my husband and I both picked different reds and they were both terrific! The skirt steak was a very large portion and was cooked perfect!! I was disappointed with the asparagus-woody and not a lot of flavor, but when the waiter asked and I stated my displeasure he immediately said he would take it off the bill and asked if we wanted anything else to replace it. Overall, it was a very enjoyable dinner!!!
Waitress was awful and should get her resume together because she was rude forgot things and more importany I told her about my food allergy of being allergic to ONIONS and my salmon came out and appeared to have no onions are it so I began to eat my salmon. A worker whom turns out to be the manger comes by 10 minutes after I received my salmon and clearly was half way done tells me that there was onions on my salmon. He also brings me out a new one right away however the point was I’m allergic to onions and it took 10 minutes for me to be notified of the mistake.
The service needs to be fix ASAP. Service received was highly unprofessional and rude.
Ambiental music was a really bad choise. I wouldn’t expect “house clubbing” music at a steakhouse like this. Maybe the manager of FIX will fix this. It would be more apropriate some smooth jazz or lounge music. All tables were over 40 y.o. And I pretty much doubt they enjoy the music.
Other that that, food experience was great as usual. Cheers
Such a cool atmosphere here, great people watching and easy for pre or post show within Bellagio. The food was positively delicious and the service was top notch. Seating is a little close to other tables but that seemed to be typical with all of the upscale restaurants we dined at in Las Vegas.
3 of us were done eating before the 4th person got their entree. One of the sides never showed up. Filet was not to temp and had zero flavor. Waiter kept blaming the "new chef". Manager came over to apologize, offered us any thing we wanted. We ordered a dessert for the table (and birthday) and were charged for everything. Also sat basically in the casino floor and had no ambiance. Will never return.
Not a very good choice for dining in Las Vegas. Forty minutes for drink orders to be served, sixty minutes for food orders and ninety minutes for food. Requested water and bread took thirty minutes and when food finally arrived several side orders were omitted.
The prices are rather outrageous for the quality delivered, forget about the wine list, prices are more than reasonable by two.
Bottom line, for a dining experience go elsewhere. In fact, as a long time Bellagio fan it's time to find another hotel. Seems like the accountants have finally won the war over profit vs service.
Overall the experience was mediocre. Half my steak was overcooked so i sent it back. The chef cut into the other end and said it was fine, then sent it back. Apparently when you order a $60 steak medium rare, you only get a portion of it medium rare, the other half is medium well and that's okay by their standards.
Of the 6 people in our group no one raved about their food. There's too many other good steak restaurants in Vegas to bother with Fix. Overall it was a completely mediocre experience.
