I use to love going to this restaurant. Unfortunately we will not be going again The noise level is painfully loud even on a Sunday morning. Our waitress said she alway has a bad headache at the end of her shift from the incredible loud music. The restaurant would be loud even if no music was blaring.

Took my friend for a birthday dinner on a Friday night. We were seated in a side room near a large party. It was loud and so was the main dining room... Not unexpected on a Friday night. We come here because it's convenient, there's free onsite parking, good service, and the food is made in house, so is mostly adjustable to accommodate dietary needs and preferences. Our server, Hannah, was excellent. My friend had the short ribs with asparagus and mashed potatoes and cleaned her plate. I ordered some of my favorite sides--szechuan cauliflower, asparagus, bang bang shrimp, and sweet potato fries, and we had leftovers. We both loved the kiwi watermelon slushy drink special,. And we each ordered dessert. I had the "Better than cheesecake" cheesecake, which is a chocolate cheesecake with caramel, pecans, and toffee bits. She ordered the Rocky Road brownie sundae which was huge and could have served several people. We both brought some home.

Ordered the queso cheese dip and it was still icy in the middle - After stirring it around we got a cold queso dip. The chicken sandwiches and fries were good. I have a problem with adding a separate charge of 2% to the bill for Employee Health Care. First off, this should be made aware to guests before obtaining their final bill. Print it on the menu, put up a sign on the tables, etc. Secondly, if you are endeavoring to provide healthcare to your staff, then raise the prices of your food 2%, don't add as a separate charge to the final bill. It's an unwelcome surprise to the already high price of dining out after adding 20% for tip.

Glad we had a reservation- it was packed. Even the parking lot was filled and we needed to park next door. Service was great and food was excellent. We met our friends for brunch after church. We wish they would figure out how to dampen the sound levels a bit. We were surprised that the restaurant tacked on a 2% ‘Employee Wellness’ fee which the manager said was to help their employees pay for their insurance. The manager said it could be removed by request.

We sat outside and Josie, our server, was attentive, patient, fun and professional. She was constantly filling our glasses with water and ensuring that our drinks were topped off. She allowed us to visit a bit and didn’t rush us in and out. I just love this restaurant including the food, ambience and professional staff. It is my new number 1 Rochester restaurant!

Our server was absolutely awful. She took drinks, which she didn’t know how to ring in and had to ask a coworker, forgot to put our appetizer in, and then didn’t come back to the table for over 20 minutes. Asked us how the drinks were, then was going to walk away. Didn’t ask about food, we had to tell her. Put the food in, then didn’t come back to ask us how it was. We wanted another round of drinks and had to find another waitress to take our order because ours was no where to be found. Then we had to waive her down to pay our bill. She hovered over us when she gave the machine to tab out. We enjoy five west. But if I get her as a server again, i will request a different waitress.

Have always had a good experience at 5West but last was not great. It was just my husband and I and we were seated in the small room to the right of the entrance. The room was freezing cold and they sat us at a table between 2 tables of 7 children!! We love children but we were looking for a nice evening out. We had a reservation. Thought you could do so much better than that. The service was just ok. Had to ask for drink refills after a long period of time waiting. The food was ok.

The food and server were excellent. However, the hostess at the front desk appeared clueless about the reservation I made and exerted no effort to guide my lunch companion (who arrived 10 minutes after I did) to our table. Made me wonder why I went through the bother of making a reservation.

Nice place and good food. Service was very good. It was kind noisy, but the place was also extremely busy. I would suggest reservations if you are going here for dinner. We made reservations and we were seated almost immediately, it looked like a long wait for those who didn't reserve a table.

We have not visited Five West very much as the noise level is usually intolerable. It is not only painful but makes it difficult to converse to anyone across the table. In the summer when it is possible to sit outside we frequent Five West a lot. A previous long tome server told up that she goes home after her shift she usually has a throbbing headache. That aside , the menus has its of options and the food was guide good. Our server was exceptional.

5 West is our go-to spot for a a classy meal at a moderate price point. We made a quick stop on NYE for appetizers and cocktails. The seasonal brie was delish and the server was delightful, even though she was quite busy.
