Five Sixty by Wolfgang Puck
Would of been an amazing experience if we would of been seated or even up there at our reservation time.
My wife and I had Dinner here for the first time earlier this week. We were seated when we arrived, which was a few minutes earlier than our reservation. The atmosphere was very nice, with a spectacular view of the Dallas city-view. The rotation speed was perfect, you could tell you were moving, but not a distraction at all. The service was the best I have ever received for a dining experience. Everyone was very friendly and eager to assist in any manner, from menu selections to simply refilling water. The food was very good, from the appetizer, main course or dessert. It was not a cheap meal, but was worth every penny, with a relaxing meal with a wonderful view. The view alone was worth at least half of the bill. We will definitely be back.
Spectacular food, view and ambiance. can't wait to go back and try everything else!
Excellent on all categories.
It was spectacular. The food, drinks and ambiance was impeccable. The only small complaint is the brusselsprouts were salty. Everything else was spectacular.
The atmosphere and food were outstanding! Regretfully, the service left much to be desired. Junior was a little too pompous for our liking, preferring to care more about what he had to say than anything we had to offer. Being busy is one thing, but being rude is another. At one point in the evening, I looked around and wished the charming faces of any of the other waiters would have been at our service instead of the smug, overly self-assured that of Junior.
If you’re looking for an elegant evening with some of the best views of Dallas, then this is your place. However, if you’re looking for an outstanding meal, you’d do better with another restaurant.
That said, I would go back to have drinks at the bar, or maybe even dinner with an out-of-Town guest, but that’s about it. Tons of Dallas-based restaurants with better food.
Go for the views, ambiance and drinks but don’t expect the food to be on par with the price point or expectation. Great views and wonderful place for a date. Service was hit and miss but generally good. Disappointed in the limited entree menu so we went for sushi. Sushi was on par with the dime a dozen mid tier Dallas offerings. We wouldn’t return for dinner but it was a nice experience.
The ambiance speaks for itself. Service was a little off at first as we did not look like the typical uptown stiffs that frequent the establishment, but as the night went on & the ticket increased, the service became markedly better. The crispy sweet & spicy quail was absolutely superb. The steak was an excellent cut & cooked perfectly to order. The blood orange Wagyu Wantons were like nothing I have ever had & the chocolate souffle was sinfully delicious. For the portions, the quality, & the experience, the ticket was well worth it.
Food was amazing and Service was outstanding, every person from the water refiller to the waiter to even the final tea pourer was very nice. One of the best restaurants in dallas if not the best.
Rex, our waiter, did an amazing job and the reason why we would return. He emitted a positive vibe, made our experience a great one. Will definitely recommend to others.
Thank you Rex for such a memorable 1st time at Five Sixty by Wolfgang Puck.
Food and service was excellent.
Had dinner with my family and we were not impressed. In fact we were disappointed. We felt are waiter was rushed and lacked social skills. I ordered a bottle of wine and a ginger ale for my son and some appetizers. The appetizers came quickly but it took for ever for them to bring the wine . By the time they brought the bottle of wine we had almost finished eating our appetizers. The waiter rarely came to our table to ask if we needed anything. We never saw a Maitre D or a sommelier. The food was okay. I think the manager or assistant manager of this restaurant needs to do a better job at training and supervising the staff. I wonder if Mr. Puck knows how his restaurant is functioning on a day to day basis. I think if Mr. Puck went in disguised as a customer ( undercover boss) he would be very disappointed. If you want to see the Dallas City view, go to the observation deck and then go eat at another restaurant.
I had the scallops and my wife had the salmon, both were excellent. Would recommend both and also the spring rolls (appetizers). Skip the desserts, small portions, not great tasting and pretty expensive. A table near us had a large, young crowd and it became almost impossible for those at our table to carry out a conversation due to the noise from that group (noise echoes off the glass that surrounds the entire sitting area). The views were phenomenal and worth the experience.
Amazing meal and experience. We will definitely return.
All of the staff was excellent. It was my wife's birthday and they kept wishing her a happy birthday throughout the evening. The experience was amazing. I look forward to going back again in the future.
Delicious food, great cocktails and awesome view
Great food, wonderful view, and great service. The only negative comment is that it is a lot louder than I expected or would have liked.
Jose and Michael our waiters were very very nice. Especially appreciated Jose's explanation of the foods to us in Spanish. Very beautiful view from our table. Great atmosphere and food was good. Would have liked a little more to choose from on the menu. Great wine list. Highly recommend for couples.
Only because of the view and the excellent food would I recommend someone to eat at Five Sixty. Otherwise, the place is lacking in service! The Hosts seemed to ignore the "commoner" and would seat immediately those who "looked like money." I was appalled to see how favoritism was administered by your staff!
Michael is a fabulous waiter. Food great too.
Great service and amazing food but the portions were super small for the large price.
I planned this dinner as a surprise for my husband for our 4th wedding anniversary and made reservations with details requesting a window and hohow many years we had been married. First off, we ran into bad traffic in Dallas that took us over an hour to get to the restaurant. I called 30 minutes before our reservation and told them that we would be late and they marked us late and kept our reservation for us. When we arrived they still kept our window table, congratulated us on 4 years marriage and just made this one of our best Anniversary experiences. Our service Jack was AMAZING with the full service experience including providing recommendations. We felt so special all night. Awesome restaurant, superb ambience, amazing service and the food was excellent!
Great experience! Service was excellent and the food was on point!
Food was phenomenal.
Amazing dinner. Definitely get the Tuna Tartare.
The view was perfect for a 77 birthday for my friend. She was delighted. No flexibility on time schedule, but going when they opened was ok. Looking for night lights and not sunshine. Loved Twilie. We loved the salmon, chicken, pork chops, red fish - in that order. Margarita was perfect from bar. If go to bathroom may forget how to find your table, be careful.
As always everything was perfection. For a special occasion there's no better go to place than five sixty. Highly recommend trying anything on the sushi menu - everything is flawless on the sushi menu. My go to entree is the duckling. Whatever you do save room for the chocolate soufflé- this cannot be beat.
Came for our anniversary then a table of 15 sat down with 7 young children that were quite active. Not a great experience . But amazing restaurant, I have been here 25 times. Very surprised with how tonight’s visit unfolded.
It took us a little while to get used to the movement, but once we did, it was amazing. The staff is great and the food is superb. I highly recommend this for any special occasions, or just a great date night.
We had a wonderful date night for spring break! The food was all good. Filet was perfect. A must is the chocolate soufflé.... to die for.
This was an amazing experience. Our destination to Dallas during Spring Break 2019 had to include this must-see as we are a foodie family. The height scared my son a bit but was not bad at all. The rotation was slow so no motion sickness. The food was delicious. The service was the best. Very attentive, very kind, very happy staff members. We did not feel rushed. Even though the kitchen closed at 10, we were served respectfully until we were done with our dinner experience. The presentation of the food was fantastic. The night sky was beautiful; probably will return during the daytime to see the view then. Highly recommended.
First class, great service and food. Highly recommend
Family date night with two kids 8 & 6 years old. We all enjoyed it.
Basically you are just paying for the view. The only good thing about this restaurant is the view and the server and busser staff. The host staff were not accommodating at all and refuses to let you move tables even if you had a reservation and they have about 10+ other tables available. They were extremely rude. The food was mediocre, wagyu beef was tough and dry, duck was way over cooked and dry.
Great food, service and ambiance. Highly recommend!
The service staff and especially the waiter, Gabriel, we friendly and personable while still being 100% professional- rare trait!!
Cool place. Great view and super nice. Honestly the food was not the best. The Sushi and appetizers were wonderful. The main coarse was just ok. Over all worth the trip for a special occasion but you can get better food for a third of the price at any other decent Restaurant.
I took my mom out for a mother daughter date night and we had a blast. The food was amazing and the view was spectacular!! A great experience all around.
Excellent service, very proffesional and politr, I like the small things like if your waiter sees you talking, they would wait by the table and not interrupt like most places do,the attention to detail and the energy of the place, food was excellent, friendly staff and very romantic place to go, This was our second time there and would go back any day..
