We went there for a concert and were able to sit outside enjoying the ambiance. Service was excellent as well as the food. We were waited on promptly and did not have to wait long for the food.
Half price appetizers 4-6 pm. Great deal. Had a hamburger with a $3 upcharge for onions rings that were chewy and tasted like dough. I’ll not make that mistake again Had a little trouble with waitress first coming and then still following up.
Excellent quality, fresh salad and so very tender shirt ribs and Shepherd's Pie.
Chicken pot pie was very good. Tastes like homemade with a lot of vegetables. The drinks seemed high though and might be a factor on if I return or not.
Good food. Great beer selection with $4 draft beers when we were there on Monday
Awesome place to visit if your in the area. Food was great. Service was also top notch.
I went here with a friend on Saturday night at 7:00. There were a few private parties going on, plus live music, so it was a bit hard to carry on a conversation. Our food and drinks were great, and our server was quick and friendly.
Truffle fries were out of this world! Definitely would recommend 5 Roses for a casual night out in Rosemont!
lunch date with a friend
Enjoyed eating outside, great service and food options!
I would go again
Only reason this didn't get 5 stars across the board is because they took the steak tips with the awesome sauce off the menu!! But the amazing Mickey was able to talk the great kitchen staff you guys have and get my awesome sauce anyways! Please put it back!! :)
Food was fine. Service was ok. The mains came out about 2 minutes after the appetizer. Waitress seemed a little disinterested but she was ok. Friend wanted burger without a bun due to allergies. They brought it on a bun and forgot the extra lettuce she had asked for initially. They brought out the extra lettuce when we reminded the waitress. So so experience. They had a number of good beers on tap.
Although it’s a convenient location in Rosemont, this “Irish pub” needs a new chef. The steak salad was so mediocre, even the lettuce was not very tasty. The steak was tuff and tasteless.
Our waitress was vapid. She forgot everything. Two orders were wrong. I would never recommend this restaurant to anyone
Great service and food try the Irish Nachos
Very nice Pub , very loud and crowded on free live outdoor concert summer Thursday night's. Sad that they don't serve curry sauce to put on your chips a very non authentic Pub menu and environment.
Had a solo dinner on Friday night after a flight into O’hare. Ordered the chicken sandwich, it was very good, I like the avocado spread on the bread. The fries were fresh, the seasoning was a bit salty, could be a little bit lighter. The server was helpful making suggestions from the menu since that was my first time there. The service was a little slow, maybe she had a lot of tables to wait, which is understandable. The interactions were very friendly and pleasant. Definitely would recommend and I will be back next time when I transfer in Chicago again.
Service was really bad. They served our appetizer and we waited a long time before our server gave us plates and utensils and mind you, we have to call his attention. The irish nachos was soggy and had so much pork juice at the bottom. My nephew didnt care for the grilled cheese at all. Overall, i thought the food was too pricey for what its really worth.
Had a nice time. The music was great. Food was just okay. Service was very good. Only hic up was I got an email saying we didn’t show. We were 5 minutes early. Hostess must not have marked it.
Food great. Staff courteous and attentive. Live music was good, but the speakers all around the restaurant were too loud, so conversation was not always easy or comfortable.
Our meal was great, our service was subpar. We waited a long time for our order to be taken, and our server disappeared for a solid 25 minutes. Thank goodness the food was excellent!
The food, service, and restaurant were just ok. Would go elsewhere in the future.
We planned to eat before a concert at the Rosemont Theatre, and traffic caused us to be late. We called in our order, gave them our ETA, and they had a table and our dinner ready for us! The food was great, and we walked in to the theatre just in time. They went out of their way to accommodate. Great experience!
Fantastic live music and quick service! Just wish they had whiskey cubes for their scotch list.
We came before seeing a movie and sat at the high top tables. Food was good - truffle fries were amazing! Zombie Dust on tap and fantastic service. Best part was the live music. Acoustic(ish) Irish duo playing covers and Irish music. They were so great we have already told people about them! I don’t make my way to Rosemont very often, but this experience definitely has made me want to return. It will for sure be the place we go to whenever we are in the area!
Five Roses offers bar/dining atmosphere with live music. Just don’t expect the fastest service around. Constantly having to track down wait staff in a not so crowded restaurant is annoying.
Great birthday experience. Live music was fantastic. Nice Guinness pour to boot!
Service was slow, food took nearly an hour, then was cold and terrible. When making reservations, I noted we were celebrating birthdays. Never an acknowledgement from server, hostess, manager. Plenty of options in the area. Choose something else.
We had a great waitress named Gemma. The music was a little loud as we were in a section right next to the band. Loved the atmosphere, food, and décor. Give Gemma a raise. She validated our parking pass and got us out in time for Zanies.
Everything about the restaurant and ambiance exceeded my expectations. An incredible singer guitarist Griffin Crowder totally made the meal even better. Our server could not have been better. The food delicious, and the four of us tried different items on the menu and everything exceeded our expectations. Cobb salad,Tenderloin Steak Tips, Mashed Potatoes and Broccoli was the best. It seemed that this is also a very late night happening crowd and is a must for the party goer after 10:30PM.
The pub itself was nice and they did have live music which we were not able to stay for as we had other plans. The food was ok, but nothing special, especially for the price. it was a bit drafty, but I'm sure it would have warmed up once it got busier later on. The worse part about the whole experience was getting there and parking. It was like a maze and considering it was Spring Break (and quiet) the parking was a nightmare. We will not be going back unless we get a limo or an Uber as it is not worth it.
This place is me and my girlfriend's FAVORITE place to dine in Rosemont! The food is absolutely amazing, drinks are superb, friendly wait staff, and the live music they have (the guy jams) is just a couple of reasons we keep coming back!
We waited over ten minutes and a waitor or waitress never came to the table to even take a drink so we got up and left. I would not recommend this place to anyone.
There was a live band which was so nice! Our service was mediocre as the waiter would not come visit our table for 40 mins at a time and we’d wait with empty drinks for a while. Food and drinks were good though!
Our service was non-existent. I had to go to the bar myself for our drinks for lunch. The waitress did say she was running around so we cut her some slack - thankfully we were pretty self sufficient. She never checked on us and we had to ask her for the bill. Our food was brought out by other servers. The food was good and the atmosphere was great.
Restaurant Week Special was supposed to be a Grilled Cheese on Sourdough with bacon and tomato. Mine was just cheese and it wasn’t even melted (cold).
Service was nonexistent!
Great food and drinks and good service.
Nice server. Food did not taste good and was not cooked properly. Fish was undercooked. Very disappointed, it seems the quality has gone down since previous visits.
