FIVE Restaurant Bistro
We're sort of regulars at Five and enjoy going there. We were disappointed to learn that they no longer have happy hour on weekends. We've also noticed that the food quality is not as consistently good as in the past (fish a little overcooked; dishes arrive a little cold; bread pudding that amounted to a pile of flavored bread cubes). However, service is consistently top notch (thanks, Tosh and Connor!). So are Gabe's cocktails.
Always enjoyable when the food is as good as the service! Great restaurant.
Hummus wasn’t good. All the other food was fine. Our booth was good for us tucked in a corner. Service was good.
Go to restaurant in Edmonds!
Continues to be one of our favorite spots! I highly recommend this place.
This is a great local bistro. I love the Caesar salad and the clams and mussels
One of my absolute favorite restaurants! Many great menu items but the chop salad and Italian sausage flatbread are 2 of my favorites.
Love this place! Great food and great service!
This was our first time to eat here. We all enjoyed our various appetizers, salads, entrees and desserts!! Our server Conner was outstanding. He guided us through the menu and wine list, and went out of his way to make sure we were well taken care of. We were looking for a new (to us) place to eat north of Seattle, as we live on Whidbey and want to avoid I-5 due to the viaduct closing. 5 Restaurant Bistro is the perfect antidote to Seattle traffic woes!
The server and cooks were fantastic with my food sensitivities. I got to enjoy food and drinks without compromising flavor!
Our server wasn't the friendliest, by any stretch of the imagination. The bartender was great, though. I had a drink while waiting for my family to arrive for dinner and he was very jovial. Also- this restaurant really should offer at least a scoop of ice cream for birthdays.
This is our go to area restaurant for a date night. Good food, friendly service, nice atmosphere. Especially great in the summer when the back patio is open. I go here regularly.
Great service and food
Our recent date night ~ was he place was packed yet our dinner felt intimate... the service was very good, food was excellent, and the ambience was warm and inviting. Shall definitely return!
Food is awesome, prices are high, but worth it for special occasions
There are few restaurants in the northend (145th-SR104) that a suitable for a nice dinner out. I've driven past 5 Restaurant Bistro for years but never tried it. We were pleasantly surprised by the menu and service. And only 10 minutes from our house! We'll definitely be back.
Early dinner on Christmas Eve. Wanted pizza but restaurant took it off the menu for that evening so had to order more than I wanted. Meal was good.
Great local eatery. Food is always top notch, never had an order I didn’t love. Cocktails and wine are good but a little pricey. Overall I recommend for casual occasions.
Food was excellent as was the service
The place was packed. My friend had a walker and it was very difficult to get into and out of the restaurant without inconveniencing other customers to get up and push their chairs in to let us through. The tables were much too close together.
Great service and outstanding food and wine list. Our waiter added a candle to our guests desert when he heard it was her birthday. I did wish the notice level wasn't quite as loud as it made one of our dinner guests, who is a little hard of hearing g, uncomfortable.
I am a vegetarian and the menu is limited for that. The frustrating this is that several of the choices can easily be converted to vegetarian. The portabella mushrooms are amazing. That is a meal in itself with the side dishes. Please work on vegetarian options since this is one of my husbands top choice for the pork chop.
Delicious salami chop chop salad and flat bread pizzas (the sausage and the prosciutto), and love the "famous" pizza oil. Wines by the glass list is pretty short for a "wine bar," and $16 for a lemon drop? In Edmonds? Waiter was aloof and inattentive, so we weren't made to feel special. Space is very loud -- seems family friendly and good for groups, but maybe not so much for a quiet couple like us.
The food was amazing! The pork chop was one of the best I’ve had at a restaurant. Highly recommend the Bolinhos De Chuva for dessert - so good!
this was my first time at this restaurant - it was near a clients office - I would go there again - the parking is a problem - spaces are limited and stripped too narrow for most cars today AND several of the businesses sharing the same parking lot have claimed several spaces for themselves so it was hard to find a place to park
Wonderful food, very fresh and delicious. Love this place!
The pasta and pizza special’s were FANTASTIC!
Food was terrific!
We go there several times a month. Staff is exceptional and so is the menu. Weekly specials are always a treat. Make it here and you will come back again and again
Great, fun food with great service. Appetizers are sooooo good!
We like Five because of the food and the ambience. On our last 2 visits however, we were placed at two of the worst tables in the restaurant that were rather dismal. On our last visit our server did his best but they were short handed and the service suffered.
To be fair, this is sort of our "go to" place in Edmonds, but it has been years since I've reviewed it and the ownership has changed since then. But that said, this is a great spot. The food is always top notch and they have always accommodated any changes we've made or requested to the menu. They have a number of regular dishes they have made since they opened and I, and my family, are glad they still make them. The Carne Asada has always been my favorite and it's great to know I can come back time and again and get that same great dish if I want - which I did want on our last visit.
From the friendly greeting by Elke the hostess (and she does much more than that - she runs the floor as well) to the great servers - Ryan, Randi, and others - it does not disappoint.
The drinks came quickly, the food on time, and the desserts were worth staying for.
The food was excellent and somewhat inventive (good for "foodies.") There are both small portions and large platters. The attention to detail on each item was impressive - for example the baked salmon was delicious, as were all the side items accompanying it. The same can be said of the pork chop. The presentations are elegant. There are very good coffees available - not just token "restaurant" coffee but lattes, espresso and French press, very well prepared which is important in this area which abounds with excellent coffee houses. The espresso dessert was outstanding. The service was excellent too. A possible downside - it is not good for quiet conversation - the acoustics are poor and it is a lively place, hence a bit loud - but that seems to be a problem with most of the hipper, nontraditional dinner places so I would not let that discourage me and I'll look forward to returning.:)
One of our favorite restaurants- another great evening!
A great place to meet friends for dinner. We did family style this time and it worked perfectly with some appetizers, salads and couple of entrees. The food was fantastic as always!
What a great little hidden gem. David is a fantastic waiter and the food is always amazing.
FIVE Restaurant Bistro is one of my favorite restaurants! So glad we celebrated my birthday here. Food was amazing and service was impeccable as usual. :-) Thanks for a great night!
The food was great, celebrated my hubby birthday!! He really like the place. yummy!!
