Loved the experience, food was excellent. Very enjoyable experience, can’t wait to visit again
Food is always EXCELLENT! The live music was a little loud at the bar but once we sat at our table it was perfect. The guy played well for the span of ages present. Service was impeccable and easy going which we loved! The ambiance is classic Wisconsin supper club!
Strength was service/timing and COVID protocols. Delightful waitress and staff. Drawback was food quality. Steaks had an excess of an overpowering very dark-colored au jus and the cut of beef was not as expected for the money. BBQ rib appetizer was great, exceptional sauce. Potatoes were typical, salads also. Overall the meal was all right but not in line with the prices. Restaurant was busy on this Tuesday night, good to see.
I have been going here for years. It's as good as it gets with it's own unique down home style. It's not just fine dining, it's an experience!
Everything was great, service top notch. Can’t ask for a better experience in the city.
An amazing me and amazing service as aways!!! The scallops were amazing!
Server was marginal. Felt rushed to table so another group didn’t take it. Only 3 of 5 given menus. Had to share. Soup and salad came at same time. Salad was dull. Relish tray was quite small. Server never asked for more drinks or how anything was. Owner had to take our bill since she was no where around. Disappointed!!
Possibly the best steak I have ever had. Can’t wait to go back!
Felt a little rushed. No room at bar to sit and have a drink and order. Very small table in Alley Cat Lounge. Nice but main dining area much nicer. Will always be my favorite!
All of the staff wore masks. Thanks. The plastic dividers between the tables gave us a sense of security and we appreciated that.
The drinks were generous pours, thanks.
We've had the restaurant on our bucket list for 10 years. This was our first night and we'll be back.
My bone-in rib-eye was cooked perfectly. For the price I thought it could have been trimmed a bit more. The flavor from the fat/marbling should come from within the cut not from the fat on the outside of the meat.
The dark brown juice that covered the steak was just ... OK. I'm a purest and enjoy a well aged cut of beef that can stand on it's own without adding gravy-juice for flavor. When I opened my leftovers up at home the color of the juice is off-putting. Thank goodness it's dark in the restaurant.
After the meal no one offered coffee or an after-dinner drink. This made me feel rushed. I get the pandemic has made your business life rough and I get table turn, but don't make it too obvious.
For the price the desserts, they could have been more generous. My carrot cake was dry and must have been either pre-cut or sitting in a frig. The real whipped cream is a nice touch.
I'll give it a 4.5 overall in stars......and we'll be back.
The food was amazing, but the char on the steak was too over-powering; just tasted burnt. It may have been to hold in the flavor, but in reality it took away from it. Everything else was great, would definitely come back 👍
Great service and Food was spot on !!! Highly recommend for a good steak !
We’ve been there many time and the food is always awesome and the service is fantastic!
The ambiance was nice but wasn’t overly impressed with the food.
We were intrigued by the restaurant’s reputation as the best steakhouse in Milwaukee, and wanted a good steak before leaving the Midwest at the end of the month. We were on a tight timeline-our reservation time was the soonest we could arrive from Madison and just before our vaccine appointments. I called Five O’Clock Steakhouse to order ahead, and they were extraordinarily accommodating. They had salad ready for us the moment we sat down— the house-made blue cheese dressing was lovely. The rest of the orders came like clockwork. We preordered the steak frites and the green beans almondine, both delicious accompaniments to the perfectly medium-rare filet mignon, tender, juicy, and full of savory flavor. I only regret not having enough time to order the Cherries Jubilee for dessert.
Coming here was a real treat, both for the food and the caring service. If we ever find ourselves in the Midwest again, we’ll make our way to Five O’Clock.
I heard they have some of the best steaks in town so the wife and I decided to try it out. The food was good just not what I was expecting. My steak was tough, maybe it was the way I had it cooked. I wanted medium well. Other than that everything was great. I would go back.
ALWAYS received great service AND great food on every occasion. Took my current girlfriend for her birthday and she loved it too !
One of the truly great “Supper Clubs” of Wisconsin!
Bone in Filet Mignon - you don't see that on the menu too often. Absolutely delicious.
The food was awesome the service was great the waiter Greg really helped not over order but get exactly what we wanted
If you like a great steak in the old school supper club atmosphere, it’s a classic experience.
It’s our favorite place. We always have an amazing meal. Server was friendly and attentive. Food was cooked perfectly and served nice and hot. Wonderful experience as always
Charcoal coved steak order median came out rare . Black top taste like coal. Steak went back replaced with prime rib which came out rare couldn’t even cut the meat. Manger took $50 off my $138 meal which I got to eat 1 lb king crab. We spent over $300 and no one was real happy with there steaks. There are better place to spend your money! Go to Wards for one.
Very good experience. Brought me back to the Wisconsin Supper Club days.
My tenderloin was superb!
We had a great meal of steak and sides served with great cocktails.
Service was excellent. The steak was very tender, yet lacking in flavor.
Dinner with son.
While musician was excellent in playing and choices of music, it was loud when sitting at the bar. Had to talk loud & lean close to converse.
Excellent food! Plan on spending a few dollars, but worth it!
I go to Five O' Clock 3-5 times a year. The steak is always done perfectly and the staff is always welcoming and gives 5 star service. Keep up the great job and see you in July!!
Excellent as always. Not a single bad bite. And the service is always on par.
We are regulars and three of the four of us were very disappointed. The prime rib was very fatty and tough. Two in our party ordered filets medium and they both were very rare and tough. This was our second time in the last few months the quality of the meet was no where near as good.
This was a night out for our Anniversary, we ordered a 16oz filet and the Prime Rib, filet was delicious but prime rib was not good at all, so stringy and chewy. After working in restaurants for a great majority of my life I understand that sometimes you just get a bad piece of meat. The server and the manager handled my complaint amazingly and were very kind. I believe that the Prime Rib is normally as delicious as the filet but not this past Saturday. Everything else was top notch. We will be back to dine again soon!
The place was a bit dated. They did a great job with the covid separation. It made you feel safe for sure. The food was good, but we totally enjoy their sister restaurant, Chicago Prime Steakhouse, way more!!
Lovely ambiance, delicious food and top notch servers!

Excellent,as always. We flew in from LA and this was our first stop. Never disappoints.
Food, Drinks from Wally and attentiveness from staff was great as always
We love 5
O’clock. The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. The food is always amazing- I love the blue cheese filet- the sauce is addicting.
Our server, Courtney, is absolutely the best!
Party of 6 for a 50th birthday party. Drinks took 25 minutes to fill. Food ordered, food not given to the right people, meat supposed to be cooked in 1500-2000 degree sear, comes to the table ice cold in the middle. Over $600 and I'm not happy. Worst service ,worst ribeye, given to someone else at the table. This is by far the most disappointed I have been. Server was not attentive to our table. I feel that this is the last time I would even recommend this restaurant.
Wonderful time with family. The service was top notch. Highly recommend for quality steak dinner. Will see you again real soon.
