Had the bone in filet and it was outstanding cooked as requested ( medium raw +. Was not rushed. Our server Doty was very pleasant and great to have. Wally the bartender makes an excellent Makers Manhattan! I would highly recommend if you haven’t been. If you have you know what I’m saying.
Need to sharpen the knives. Lazy susan needs more variety, like cheese etc.
10 year anniversary
Food is always excellent. Service continues to be great as well. Highly recommend!
I’ve heard so many good things about this place so I decided this is where I wanted to take my boyfriend for his birthday. I made the reservation on January 3rd for February 27th. I got confirmation emails and texts asking for my final confirmation a few days prior to our date; in which I replied to both.
Upon arriving it didn’t seem like my table was reserved. Their reservations don’t seem organized so we had to wait at the bar for twenty minutes. After getting our drinks and order taken, we were seated. Both my boyfriend and I were nervous because of how many people they were squeezing in the dinning room. While the servers had masks, little to no hanging “shields” made us comfortable. The food was OKAY. Potatoes were dry, crab stuffed mushroom caps had plenty of crab shell and it took us a long time to get our check.
I had expectations and I didn’t leave disappointed but the hype didn’t come through for me. Won’t be my first choice for the experience but the bartender who was just starting made me feel more comfortable. Probably won’t go again.
We always like going here. We had earlier reservations which seemed to be better. The place filled up quick and there were a lot of people with no masks on or barely covering their face with masks. I felt more and more uncomfortable. We tried the new cherries jubilee and hoped for a show when the flambe started, but the sugar cubes died out quickly. We basically had vanilla ice cream with cherries. Not my favorite outing but our server helped keep the evening light!
Great date night Great food Great service Great atmosphere definitely will be back
The steaks were great as usual. Our server was on top of everything and was a lot of fun.
Fantastic atmosphere. Excellent service. Delicious food. True supper club experience.
The best filet mignon and au jus I've ever had. I ordered it medium rare and it was perfectly cooked.
I enjoyed my drinks but was a bit disappointed with my Hickory smoked ribs.. they not tender and allot of my ribs were very dry and overly sauced, i did enjoy the salad. I hope next time they don't False advertise on their food.
In regards to whether or not recommending this place to other would depend ...i would hate to say its great and them have a bad experience.
Steak was okay, not super tender. Stuffed mushrooms and crab cakes were good. A bit pricey. I was surprised to see our leftovers put into plastic bags, not a fancy take home container. When I opened my bag the next day to have some steak, the bag leaked all over my countertop and cabinet fronts! A sturdy aluminum container would have been better.
All-in-all it was okay.
A classic supper club featuring excellent steak choices, the Five O'Clock Steakhouse is a must for anyone in the Milwaukee area. The small, but efficient location is reminiscent of a New York City restaurant - bar at the door with seating in the back. The food is excellent but the service even better. Our server, Stephanie, was amazing. Being one of the first reservations of the evening, the butter was still cold and the bread not yet warm. She quickly replaced both without question. The evening was even better when she remembered we mentioned it was my husband's birthday and surprised him with a scrumptious key lime pie slice. It was the perfect end to our meal of bone-in ribeye, filet, mashed potatoes and green beans almondine.
The food and service was great. Will be going back.
I always have a great time here! Great food , great service, great day drinks! I will be back.
I have been to quite a few supper clubs in the state and this has to be by far one of the better ones in the area
This place was amazing. I brought my friend who was visiting from out of town here for his birthday dinner and he absolutely loved it. He cannot stop talking about it. We really had a good time. The food was terrific, not a long wait and cooked to perfection. This is definitely a place to check out when you're in town.
Two friends who enjoy steak and cocktails out to one of milwaukee finest. The bar experience was a little disappointing as the bartender was kind of a jerk who couldn’t make a good old fashioned. Another bartender made up for it with a smile and a quality cosmo. Th3 dining experience didn’t disappoint with a wonderful waitress and a delicious 16 oz filet. Very yummy.
The best steak I have had. It took a long time to be seated after our reservation but the service was nice that we didn't mind.
Our favorite steakhouse in the city. We ordered the prime rib and filet medallions wrapped in bacon with blue cheese and parmesan cream sauce. Food was amazing as usual, great service.
I went alone for the first time. It is a throw back to the days of supper clubs that managed your experience. You’re seated at the bar. After a couple of cocktails, your server brings a menu and explains the setup. After another drink or two, (s)he takes your order. At some point, you pay up at the bar and head to your table at which time a funny little selection of pickled vegetables, bread, butter and honey is placed in front of you. They’re delicious. At this point, the vegetables aren’t the only things at the table that are pickled! So, naturally, you order a bottle of wine from their sufficient, but certainly not impressive wine list.
The menu is a la carte, as expected in a steakhouse, so your over ordering shows up about the same time you’re telling yourself to stop eating the veggies. Too late....
The steaks are really, really delicious. I haven’t had anything like it. Side are good. But the meat is the star. Try the bone in anything. Especially the filet.
Good food and good service!
Excellent food excellent service great ambience thank you again for taking care of us in at 12 year anniversary beautiful simply amazing
Wait staff and bartenders were outstanding. The food was delicious and prepared exactly as requested. We loved the experience.
The food Is always amazing!! I love bringing family and friends here.
Visited 5' O'clock steakhouse for the first time on Valentine's Day. The food was great; we loved the mac N cheese and my filet mignon was extremely tender. The shrimp scampi was also good. Our server was excellent! She was very attention and informative. I forgot her name, but she rocked. Will definitely be back.
Never disappointed with the food and experience! One of the only places I’ve been during this restricted time that has not lost any quality in food and service! Aleaxander was great!
Great as always! Best lemon drop martini! Perfect for date night.
We enjoyed our steak. Service was a bit slow but Ryan was great! The ambience would've been better had they set real or artificial roses on the table. It was Valentine's Day but didn't see flowers. Looking forward to the Lobster dinner!
Server rushed us through the meal.
Straight-up martini served in a rock glass.
Crab cakes were mostly filler and over seasoned.
Over rated and we will not be back.
Went for Prime rub, it was excellent, as always. My wife had the ribeye, it's was outstanding. We shared the cheesecake for dessert.... It's honestly the best I've ever had.
The prime rib was exceptional, the crab mac and cheese should always be ordered.
The best steak I’ve ever had in my life! Looked burned but melted in my mouth! Awesome salad, and terrific big baked potato!
We love 5oclock. Everything about our visits was amazing. Our waitress Courtney is amazing- as well as all the staff members. The food is nothing short of amazing.
Another outstanding steak, truly one of the best in the country and best value in the city
Bone in Fillet, over the top Magnificent!!! Excellent Service by Joanie!
Fantastic good but even better people! What a great experience🙂
My Husband and I celebrated our 9th year Anniversary there. First time there, excellent customer service, the food was delicious (shareable portions), and the atmosphere was welcoming. Will go back there, I highly recommend this place; it's a little pricey but well worth.
Excellent food and service! Always our “go to” restaurant for special occasions! They never disappoint!
