For the first time ever,I was very disappointed in our visit. It was my husbands birthday, and I made the reservations several weeks in advance. I mentioned it was his birthday, requested Gregory as our server, and requested a booth. Our waitress said she didn't know anything about any of it,but didn't seem to care. Service was average, table sucked, but the food was still delicious.
Great time! Great steaks! Great service!
The only thing is that I didn't realize there were tables right next to the serving area, which is where we sat. Ambiance was not as good there. Next time I will see if I can request a table in the main dining area on the other side of the bar.
That's the only thing I would do different.
With all the "radio hype" about Five O'clock, 6 of us made the trip downtown. Still trying to figure out what others see in this restaurant. Four of us had prime rib, big mistake! I ordered medium, it came medium raw, it was sent back and I received one medium well! My daughter had a filet, it came cold and raw in the center, and the re-fire was really rare again. The restaurant is dreary and the ladies room is disgusting. With the prices they charge, the owners should consider remolding. Service left a lot to be desired until a gentleman helped our waiter (I will not comment on him), just hope you don't get him as your server. The best part of the meal was the few mushrooms that one of my group shared with me. I will never go again. I don't mind spending $700.00 + if I am "wowed".
I was so excited to bring my family visiting from out of state to Five O’clock Steakhouse. It did not disappoint! The new side dish options (mashed potatoes, Brussel sprouts) were wonderful and the steaks were melt in your mouth. Service was absolute perfection and we were made to feel welcome by every staff member we came in contact with! Thank you so much for a wonderful evening!
Great as always. Best steak in Milwaukee!
Food was outstanding as usual. Wait staff extremely friendly & attentive
Best steak anywhere!
Always a treat- a classic super club experience. Not a “manufactured” supper club concept restaurant with inflated prices-just the real deal!
Drinks and food were excellent.....service was outstanding....Zotti really has a wonderful personality and makes the evening fun but also professional
Excellent appetizers, steaks and ambiance. You have to try it
The prime rib was the best I ever had and my wife had the grouper it was the great taste too
Always a good experience. All of the servers and staff work as a team. Pleasing evenings.
Also, one of the hostesses (older one) was outstanding at service and attention to detail, our great experience began with her and being able to enjoy music on a busy Friday night (the younger hostess must be in training because she told 4 of us to go to bar area which was at capacity and band playing and to listen for her call—the wonderful and experienced hostess was not letting it happen that way) she was impressive! Thank you very much!
I love the pacing, they encourage you to enjoy your drinks while they set up your table. In the past we have sat in the main dining room so sitting on the bar side threw me a little but with the Christopher Project playing it gave us a front row seat to enjoy the vibe.
Phenomenal per usual. Our server Ryan was exceptional, the bartenders are always nice and personable. Great atmosphere and amazing food!
This is always my "go to" place for my birthday. I am never disappointed. Love the "old school" supper club ambience!
Just as good as I remember. Awesome food and great service.
Awesome as usual!
We have always loved this place but this time , none of us truly enjoyed our food like in the past. Steak was tougher and less flavorful.
It was meh. After hearing the rave about 5oclock, I decided to give it a whirl. I’ve been a frequent diner at Morton’s and Capital grille, and really wanted to see if 5 o’clock stacked up. Needless to say, it wasn’t even close. It’s not to say the steak was “bad”, it just wasn’t what I would expect for all the buzz. It was tender, but lacked the flavor you should expect from a good ribeye. The environment was ok, a bit of casual and formal mixed together, but with that loud and bustling. Would I go back for a $210 meal? Probably not.
They ran out of mushrooms so we all had steak with out. Two of the four steaks where way under cooked for their taste. Service was very slow. We eat here about four times a year, we are rethinking going for a birthday in two months. We’ll have to wait to see if that will happen.
Pretty lively Saturday night, can be really loud. We were with friends on a grown-ups night out, so we didn't mind a bit! Service and drinks were amazing, steaks as always FANTASTIC. Best in the city. Still my favorite supper club and place for steaks!
Great vibe, vintage steaks. Throwback supper club feel, friendly staff, indescribable delectable char on steaks.
Always make a point to dine at five o’clock when in Milwaukee
I have been enjoying coming to this, the greatest steakhouse in the country, for 35 years now. It's as great as ever!!
Love this place. Old school supper club atmosphere and run by a family that gives a damn!
