Good food, had to send lamb back because it was undercooked. Unfortunate that the table behind us was loud, rowdy and just plain rude.
A very nice and authentic steak house with excellent service, fantastic food, and a certain character that is hard to describe. Everyone I have taken there wants to go
back the next time we are in town.
Stephanie is the best:))
Ask for her when you go.
Food and Service was fantastic! Best Ribeye I've had in Wisconsin!
Excellent food and service. Very unique experience.
Very well 1st time experience let family and friends know now they are very interested to go
Thanks again on our special night
Food was good as usual. Service on a Tuesday night was horrible. We sat at the bar for a while before we were even acknowledged . It took 1.5 hours from the time we arrived to finally get our food. We sat with empty water glasses, I wanted a glass of wine and our server was no where to be found. Normally, our entire experience is good and we dine here often. Unfortunately, we should have chosen another restaurant for our anniversary meal. Very disappointing since they are usually very consistent.
I've been coming to the 5 O'Clock Steakhouse since the early 1980's. It has outstanding food at a price that no one beats for the quality and amount of food delivered, in the Milwaukee area. The staff is always professional! It's been "the" go-to restaurant for all our family members for many years, and also for a number of our friend's families!
Fun evening and wonderful experience! Great service.
Always a great experience
I was pretty disappointed overall with the evening. This was to be a special occasion celebrating my boyfriend's birthday. I had booked the reservation about a month in advance to secure a table as the restaurant was marketed as the best place to get a steak in the state of Wisconsin. The restaurant is located in a sketchy looking part of town. The place was very crowded, and at dinner my boyfriend and I had to shout at each other to hear our conversation. We were in close proximity to everyone and could easily hear other conversations. The décor was very dated. Though this is a supper club style restaurant, the atmosphere offered a late 60's-70's vibe. Tacky paper placemats, dark walls and deep red colors. The tables were too small to properly hold all of what we had ordered along with the complimentary yet pointless relish tray, bread, and obnoxious dressing carousel. Our waitress checked on us maybe two times and didn't offer to refill our water until the end of our meal. The drinks we purchased were weak and had a watered down taste. The one positive was that the food was good, but not worth what they charged and definitely not worth waiting a month to experience. We will not be back.
Extremely crowded with tables too close to each other. Steaks were ok, but nothing spectacular. Waitress was good, but either kitchen or she messed up our order. A prime rib didn't come to table for another 5 minutes or so after everyone got their meals. Food was getting cold when it fianlly arrived. Waitress blamed kichen, but who knows. Many other places with better food and service and comparable prices in Milwaukee to go to in the future instead of here.
I've never had such a tender filet!!! Wasn't much seasoning to it though. We asked for the asparagus to be cooked well and very tender, my husband wasn't able to eat it as it was cold and tough :( The waitress was great despite being very busy. Took a while to get the bill and get packed up but we weren't in a hurry.
Best steak I have ever had! It was cooked perfectly. Wait staff were great.
Very busy, so service was somewhat spotty, but I think they did the best they were able to. Food was really good except the soup was just meh. Would go again!
Steak was beautiful. Had a porterhouse, with a side of mushrooms and asparagus. The service was excellent and the old school ambiance second to none.
SUCH AN INCREDIBLE PLACE! EXPENSIVE BUT YOU SURE GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR AND IS WORTH EVERY CENT!
IT'S MY ALL TIME FAVORITE PLACE!
MY ENTIRE FAMILY COULD'NT STOP RAVING ABOUT HOW FANTASTIC IT WAS.
Bone in Filet was great!!! As were the crab legs! Consistently good!
First time back after 15 years & 3 kids. Did not disappoint. Our server, Stephanie made the whole experience even better. Food was amazing & cant wait to come back!
One of the best steaks in the country. Pair the Bone In Filet with a Brandy Old Fashioned and you can’t go wrong. True Milwaukee gem!
THE BEST I EVER HAD DONT CHANGE A THING I LOVE IT AND WILL BE BACK
Excellent food and service! Great drinks. Priced for special occasions only.
I really enjoyed the experience was disappointed by noise level and I feel it was a little on the pricey side. Also it was my birthday others around me were offered a free dessert in which I was not... just goes to show how invested our server was in our visit.
Excellent food and atmosphere. A great place for a nice evening with friends.
Great meal Stelio!
Was a great experience! Food was good. Service was good.
Excellent steak. A must for supper club lovers.
Great place for delicious food in a comfortable atmosphere. We will go back again!
Crazy busy in there but the experience was awesome! Live entertainment and drinks, in the bar, were fabulous. Good was to die for. Definitely will go back.
Wonderful steaks and fun supper club atmosphere.
you cant go wrong coming to the five o'clock steakhouse.
I knew I'd made a huge mistake almost the moment I'd completed the reservation - SATURDAY NIGHT at one Milwaukee's most popular steak restaurants!! What was I thinking? But I wanted to treat myself... I wanted one of those incredibly seared and succulent steaks, so I thought by booking a relatively early time it would be okay... was I ever wrong! The place was madly packed wall-to-wall. On my previous years of visits (again, never on a Saturday night) entering this establishment was comfortable comfort. A quick and welcome 'Hi!' from the first person that would see you (usually a bartender) would garner a smile and return of a greeting. There was none of that. A glum, overly stressed hostess greeted my approach to her desk with almost a wince but quickly directed to me the 2nd floor (I never knew there was one! ) and I started my assent. My table (possibly #108, was a two top near the entertainer's space. Praise God there was no sign of that beginning any time soon.) The single most irritating element of this entire experience I'm sorry to say was my server, Greg. So... disingenuous and overly 'familiar'. 'Bud', 'Pal', 'Guy' are familiarity terms I don't react well to. I've done my 10+ years in food and beverage service in my lifetime, and I wasn't exactly sitting in my neighborhood Applebee's looking for a plate of rib tips to endure that. It was entirely too dark at my table to see my food. The 'relish' tray looked as though elements had been prepared by a blind man with a very dull knife. Had to ask for bread. Thankfully... and as ALWAYS my steak arrived and perfectly done. Although I palpably felt the pressure of 'the bums rush' to vacate the table... I would not and did not. The kitchen did not disappoint me - thank God! Everything else did! Dear Readers, Please, please, please continue to visit this venerable and dining rewarding establishment - but NEVER, EVER, ON A SATURDAY NIGHT! (Maybe even Friday.)
Food was great as always, but we were seated in a make shift table that was really crammed in. Paying for a dinner like that it would be nice to sit at a normal table.
Great Prime Rib!
I have been to 5 oclock steakhouse 3 times previously within the last 4 months. The previous visits were all 5 star, but this was a disappointment. Each of my 3 guests had to return their steaks because they were well under cooked relative to preference. I also thought my ribeye was a bit less tender than last time. Horrible noise level, maybe that can't be helped but we came at 4:30 to avoid that.
Faye's service, as always, was courteous and very professional. She merits 5 stars. However, as we were nearing the end of our meals, someone placed a card bearing the next reservation name on our table, which we found very discourteous.
So, unlike recent visits this was a disappointment. Drinks were glood, although very pricey. I may have my next steak somewhere else.
The maitre'd was a bit rude when we asked for a quiet area to eat in the back room. The service was great (Erik was a great waiter). The room was VERY dark ... couldn't see if I was cutting steak or fat, We were packed in like sardines. The room was so noisy that we had to shout to be heard as we were trying to talk. I asked for my steak to be grilled medium and parts were raw. We'd probably give it another shot, but it would have to be an A+ in order to redeem itself ... especially at those prices!
A quintessential Wisconsin supper club, Five O'Clock Steakhouse provides a cozy feel, excellent food, and phenomenal service. I'll be back again.
The 5 o’clock Steakhouse was a pleasant experience. I enjoyed the age old super club dining tradition which consisted of ordering before being sat at your table. Everyone should try 5 o’clock steakhouse if there a steak connoisseur.
Best steak house in Milwaukee!
Great! Food and service were both outstanding!!
