Great spot in the South End! The food is excellent, the beer list is out of this world, and the service is always amazing. Highly recommend.
This was out first time out at a restaurant in a long time and five horses didn’t disappoint. The service was excellent, food was great and the beer selection is always exceptional.
Food was excellent and the service was great!
Food was amazing, loved the area it was in- not too loud while we sat outside
Love, love, love their brunch. Amazing food and champagne flights! And the staff could not be more pleasant. Such a great place!
Terrible food. What happened to the menu. Must have lost the chef. So so tacos; used to be very good. What happened to the Brussels sprouts ? Appetizers were the worst . Store bought tater tots? Really?
Blue pizza was great as were the tacos. Great overall spot for my first outing since COVID.
It was great to be back in your space
5 Horses Tavern takes "bar" or "pub" food to new heights. Their menu is both creative and un-fussy. It is one of my "go-to" places.
It was a beautiful evening and we were able to get an outside table. We both ordered salads and they were the right size and very enjoyable.
The ambiance and atmosphere was great, but the food was very rushed and stale and the presentation very sloppy. It was clear that my order was not freshly prepared and had been left sitting out under a heat lamp for a while. We ended up sending the order back and the chef made a quick fix, but it was ultimately not very good especially for the price.
A beautiful day to brunch outside. Food is fresh and service was great.
Really great quality bar food, nothing frozen and great flavor combos.
Excellent service! Our group was demanding but all of our requests were accommodated by our helpful and kind server.
My experience was overall pretty good--the food and service was great, however the menu is a bit limited and they don't have a full liquor license. I would go to Five Horses again.
Went out for date night trying to find somewhere new. I’m sure the one in Somerville is better, but the one is south end is nothing special at all.
Excellent service and food. One of my favorite places for a fabulous casual tavern food and drink.
The food and drinks were delicious. Highly reccomend!
Had a fantastic time, great service and atmosphere
Great place to go after work or with friends. Good food and service.
Very limited dinner menu. Brunch menu is far better!
Great service, food, and experience! Started with a cornbread skillet with honey butter that was amazing—highly recommend. Drinks were good (mimosa flight and espresso martini) and food was appetizing. Will likely return in the future.
Great besides their uniforms, dont wear a flannel unless you want people asking you to bring them drinks
Cute place, smooth whiskey. The food was good as well.
Delicious food and drink!
COVID-19 considerations: inside tables fairly well spaced, but I'm not sure I believe chairs were 6' apart.
Food was good, drinks were great and the service was excellent. Liam took great care of us!
Birthday dinner, soft reopening. We had seats outside on a beautiful, sunny Boston day at 5:00. Drinks were good, espresso martini and red sangria. Teens liked the lemonade and pineapple juice options. Really, it’s about the food...everything was just delicious! Second time here, so really glad it’s doing well. Lots of good flavors and sauces. Burger, chicken sandwich, interesting tacos, and bacon Mac n cheese were all great. Get the cast iron cornbread app, OMG, best ever. Service was friendly and attentive. Check it our, you won’t be disappointed.
Great table outside on a beautiful spring day.
Always a great meal! Never disappointed and always excited to return.
Great choice for having thanksgiving dinner. Good food and great small bar/dark cozy atmosphere.
Overall good experience, we sat in the very back and it was pretty dark, but overall fun experience and we plan to come back in future.
Tried this local neighborhood favorite for brunch for the first time. We sat outside and had great service and food was very good. Wished there had been an omelette option on the brunch menu - but even without it, we all really liked what we ordered: one of us had Southern Comfort (eggs, fried chicken, biscuit & sausage gravy) and one had the Breakfast Sandwich (eggs, cheese, onions on brioche). Food was fresh and served nice and hot - absolutely delicious!!
Went there for Sunday Brunch, the drinks and food were so good, and came out quite fast! Will definitely be returning to get the chimichanga
Food was outstanding! We have outside dining for breakfast and it was sunny in that area at that time. Heaters were also on. Very comfortable. Servers were attentive. We will be back! My son goes to MassArt so it’s close by.
Food and drinks were great! Would definitely come back here in the future!
I think Sunday brunch is compromised of two very important aspects. Not only does their need to be delicious and creative food options, but their has to be crafted quality cocktails as well. Our food was pretty good with lots of flavor and left us very filled. The brunch drinks sounded like they had A LOT of potential with high end ingredients, however after the wine flight ($18) and the very very tasty Lil Sebastian ($12) I had absolutely no buzz. Very disappointing given the price. I am in no rush to go back and if I do, it would only be for the food.
Great place! Lively but not loud. Food was fantastic and our server made great recommendations. I was hesitant to try the Brussels sprouts as I’m not a fan of pickled anything but they were so good!
Our family had a great meal. Very relaxed, comfortable atmosphere. The food was delicious and our server was extremely attentive! Looking forward to going back.
Five Horses Tavern is a no-brainer when you're in the mood for some good american food. Get the burger for dinner and the chimichanga for brunch. You can't go wrong!
Had lunch on their patio on a day off, service was awesome, food was fantastic (their skillet corn bread is AMAZING!) Charming patio, great food and service, you can't ask for more. Cleaning/COVID precautions was also very evident, so we had no worries in that regard either.
