Good food, Friendly service and easy to get to location.
Had to wait almost an hour past reservation. When we arrived, 15 min early, hostess said a party was finishing dessert; we’d be seated in a few minutes. After 45 min, I said to hostess, “is the party finished with their hour long dessert? I call BS.” She got attitude... but I wanted to mess with her b/c of her original lie. Then I told her I was messing with her but she wasn’t having it. Valet cost $6. Gave him $23. Told him to keep $2 and give me $15. He got my car w/o giving me the change. I resales for it. He played stupid... but ultimately gave change. Food was great as was our waiter. Hostess wasn’t honest. Horrible handling pressure. I can’t and won’t give valet benefit of doubt.
They did not have any Valentines Day decorations which was disappointing.
Prime rib was not as good as usual.
Outstanding food and service as always.
Great food and ambience. Was seated soon after checking in, which was not expected!
Amazing service. The valentines set menu was GREAT and not that expensive for five crowns!! We will definitely return!
Service slower than usual, had to ask for bread and silverware for meat entree after presented at the table.. Was a “special occasion “ (Valentines day)and restaurant was busier than normal. Thus is not typical for Five Crowns!
Haven’t been to the Five Crowns in quite a while and my partner was always saying how she wanted to go, so on Valentines Day we came in for dinner and what a great night. Service, food, ambience was all perfect. Sat upstairs for more quiet and had a wonderful evening. Definitely won’t wait so long to come back.
A special Valentines Day with close friends
We enjoyed a pleasant experience all the way around.
We were seated in a loud dining area where we had to strain to hear each others conversation. We waited 20 minutes or more for anyone to take our drink order. I ordered the NY Strip Steak at $55 and that was the only thing on the plate, just a steak. When they say ala carte, they mean it! It was good, but should have come with at least a sprig of a vegi. The place is not worth the $$$. There are too many other restaurants in the area to choose from. I won't be back!
We had a great time, as always, with the exception of the host. Another couple entered just before us, and he grabbed menus and seated them without even greeting us. Not so much as, "I'll be right with you." When he returned several minutes later, all he said was "Hello". I gave him our info, he grabbed the menus, and walked toward the dining room. He stopped at our table, set the menus down, and walked off, never saying another word. We have NEVER been treated so coldly by a staff member at Five Crowns. Another female hostess stopped by our table a couple times to check on us and was very pleasant. Not sure if he was having a bad day or what.
Fabulous dinner with family v
It was nice having Jessica since Jill and Star weren't working that night. It was a nice surprise that the sides were put in separate containers away from the prime rib (Lawry's just puts everything into the same box)
Great ambiance for a Sunday early dinner. Took the kids, and they loved it too.
Food was great - service was excellent. Wine list is smaller, but very good choices.
we will go again. We also love the pub (the side door) on the other wing of the restaurant, if you want more of an easy offering.
Jessica was our Table “Captain “ & provided excellent service.
Food was excellent- Wife had Prime rib English Cut and I had the Bone in Ribeye.
Had chocolate Soufflé for dessert- awesome.
We could have used a larger table for better comfort.
Food and service were excellent, nice ambiance although a bit noisy at first when we were there, making conversation a little difficult at the table. It’s not cheap but you do get a lot, and you get good quality. My biggest issue has to do with the wine price. I ordered a bottle of wine that the beverage menu I had been given listed as $82. We received the correct bottle of wine but when it came time to pay the bill, it was listed as $118. I brought this to the attention of our server who later brought out a beverage menu that listed that bottle as $118 and the $82 was nowhere to be found. I figured it was possible I had made a mistake in checking the price and I didn’t want to cause any scene so I paid the bill amount. However, when I got home I checked the beverage menu online out of curiosity, and I found that it exactly matched what I had initially seen. So either there’s a stray beverage menu that needs to be updated or there’s a manager who added $36 to my bill hoping I wouldn’t notice. I certainly hope it’s the former. Either way, I will admit that it makes me hesitant to go back there anytime soon, especially if I want to order any wine.
Our service was wonderful, food so good and upstairs so delightful! Thank you, Five Crowns, for giving my parents a great 64th anniversary dinner.
A delightful meal on Feb 7th. The food was delicious and the service gracious. We are already looking forward to our next visit to 5 Crowns.
Amazing prime rib (and sides), excellent service. The chocolate souffle for dessert was decadent!
We just came for the creme brûlée dessert. There were 5 of us sisters who were celebrating being all together again after 14 years. We had a lovely time.
we love the food and ambiance. it's quiet enough to be able to have a conversation. the service is always great & the food is delish! can't beat their prime rib.
There was a birthday party going on in adjacent area with a band and it was very noisy. We were about 15 minutes late for our reservation and had to wait an additional half hour to be seated.
The food was wonderful and the service was gracious and made us feel special. What was really nice to see and hear was that all the servers and staff we talked to shared how much they love working at Five Crowns! That says a lot about a restaurant!
The Prime Rib meal was everything I thought it would be. I enjoyed every bite of the Pride of Crown salad. The meat melted in your mouth with delicious flavor. I loved the creamed spinach and mashed potatoes with homemade gravy. The Yorkshire pudding with Au Jus is indescribable. Of course, I love the Lawry’s Seasoned Salt added to my Prime Rib. I do not recommend the Coconut Panna with pineapple. It lacked flavor and the pineapple was fibrous and chewy. There was not enough coconut flavor either. I recommend the hot fudge with ice cream for it was outstanding. It was a memorable evening.
I meant the noise level was excellent. It was very quiet!
Five Crowns is a family favorite. The food and service were excellent. It is a place our family, young and old, enjoy.
We had our one year anniversary here. Everyone was lovely and food was delicious as always. They gave us a berry trifle cake to celebrate. Thank you!
Went for restaurant week and was very impressed with both the food and service.
A other fantastic dinner at Five Crowns! And great news they are extending Restaurant Week menu thru January!
Jacob was our waiter and was wonderful!! Deirdre
Wonderful as always
Five Crowns provides an eating experience. The food is excellent and the service was outstanding. We felt our server was our personal butler. He knew when to bring the next course, when to ask how we were enjoying the food, etc. We plan to be back soon.
Shaun was amazing!
Always a good experience, although pricey. Restaurant week was crowded.
One of the orders was wrong. The bill needed to be fixed four times before it was correct. Our waitress was rather rough and scattered. The experience Was far different than in the past. Bummed because it ysed to be our favorite restaurant.
Hadn’t been to Five Crowns for many years.
Enjoyed the food and British/Scottish ambiance.
Would like Welsh rarebit added to the menu.
My wife and I both had the special restaurant week offering of prime rib. Our waiter was very personable and attentive. Atmosphere is right out of upscale English pub.
