When you call this place on the phone, they answer the phone by reading a scripted paragraph before you get a chance to actually ask your question. When the waiter sits you down, they explain the menu word by word, again, as if following a script. While I appreciate the level of attention, and I appreciate the effort to keep your restaurant's staff consistent, I found this extended monologue by the waiter frustrating for two reasons: first, it interrupted the time I was enjoying with my date, and second, it kept him away from our table while he was reading the same paragraph to other tables. In the restaurant's effort to pay extra attention to every customer, they actually wind up detracting from the other customers in the restaurant. Keep it brief - your guests are there to enjoy your food, not your waitstaff.
The food was okay, not spectacular. I ordered a Surf & Turf featuring what was promised to be an exceptionally large King Prawn. I found there was very little to eat, and it was mostly an exciting structure to occupy space on my plate. The filet was fine but not spectacular. The star of the evening was the (free, unlimited) salad which came with our meals. It was vibrant and delicious.
Excellent food and service.
I highly recommend the trigger fish special. Delicious, huge desserts!!!
Went the other night mainly for the all you can eat stone crabs, but got more than we expected. Bernard, our server was spectacular. As it was our first time, he guided us through the menu in style, humor, and above all, with detailed explanation. Can't wait to return to try many of the other tasty options. This place knows their steak and seafood. From cocktails to dessert, you can't miss with Fish Bones.
The restaurant was EXTREMELY noisy. The service was poor. Even though we had reservations we did not get seated for 30 minutes. When we were seated it was in the back of the restaurant were it was hot and we felt as though we were forgotten; even though the restaurant was busy. Our waiter did not come to our table for 15 minutes after we sat down. When he did arrive, he was pouring sweat all over the place and kept wiping himself. We had to ask for our water and soda to be refilled repeatedly. It seemed like we were too much for him even though the table behind us he was going out of his way for. He brought them numerous glasses of wine to taste before they finally settled for one. To add fuel to the fire, our meal was incorrect. I have a seafood allergy and cannot have my food touch any seafood at all. My steak was on my dates plate and I had his steak. When we alerted our server, he said, "let me get the manager." Why did he need to get the manager when we told him previously I was allergic? The waiter did not offer to fix the mistake. At this point the manager (a very poor speaking male) arrived at our table. His response was, "just swap steaks". Not so easy when you are deathly allergic to seafood...We were never asked for desserts or after dinner drinks, had to ask for our bill and then it took another 20 minutes to get it. Get impression for a first date! This is definitely not like the Fishbones I have been to in the past.
Salad and drinks weren't as tasty as usual. Pretty busy for Valentine's day. Possibly reason why.
An amazing dinner, great service
Valentines Day date night.
Good meal good service.
The staff at Fishbones did an execelent job of moving people through on Valentines night. The wait staff was friendly and the food arrived in a timely fashion. The Trigger Fish was a remarkable treat and the Prime Rib was among the best I have ever had. The selection of drinks at the bar were second to none, all at what we consider a reasonable price for the service and quality of food we had. Only draw back is the parking. It is very limited but they did have complementry valet service to off set that.
Came here on Valentine’s Day and received by far the worst services ever. They did switch server for us at the end and Christine did a wonderful job. But, it still did not make up the 45 mins appetizers, which came out cold and then they just reheated it instead of making fresh ones or the 1 1/2 hour dinner. We sat down at 7:42 and by 9:12 we still did not have our dinner. We wanted to leave but realize it would be too late for us to eat anywhere else by that time. Stone crab turned out to be better than expected but overall we will never come back.
Been here before and was great. This time around not so much, calamari was soggy sent it back, got the lobster bites" so so " over cooked. For dinner got the whole snapper grilled like I did last time but this time it was way over cooked. Just got tired of it didn't even send it back just wanted to get done. The house salad was the only thing that tasted great and I'm not much of a salad guy...Not sure if there be a next time...moving on.
Awesome food & service!!
My and I really enjoyed ourselves dining at Fish Bone Orlando. Server was good. We'll do it again soon. Like the valey parking as well. Thanks!
Outstanding Food and Great server(Ed)
Will be sure to visit when in Orlando again
The watress was very knowledgeable and professional. The food looked good. The steak was over cooked. The meal was average. I felt that the price of the meal didn't meet the quality. I would not recommend this restaurant.
