FishBones - Orlando, FL
Happy Hour from 4:30-6:30 in the bar was so fun, we decided to stay to eat dinner. Bobby and Carlos were awesome and the food was amazing.
Best place we ate at in Orlando. We will eat there again on our next trip.
Upon recommendation from a friend we traveled to Orlando to dine at Fishbones. There is a glass display case near the front door where you can see the fish and steaks on display. This is nice because you can get an idea of the freshness of the food. The waiter arrived promptly and informed us of the specials that weren't on the menu. The waiter was very knowledgeable of the menu and easily explained the differences between the types of fish and the options for preparation. we started with the New England clam chowder, which was delicious! For mains, I had the grouper which was grilled and my date had the salmon with asparagus. The portions of fish were generous and we enjoyed our meal. We would definitely dine here again and would also recommend it to our friends.
First time here was a great experience . I got the porkchop which was thick and delicious.
Fish special with crab sauce hide good fish taste; wine very expensive. Wedge salad excellent. Overall, somewhat disappointing for dollars paid.
This was a terrific spot for a reasonably priced meal with work colleagues on a business trip. It was casual enough that everyone felt welcome. The menu was broad enough that everyone could find something to enjoy, even those who might have chosen a pricier location. The service is friendly and prompt. It’s also a family friendly location.
We had a party of 6 for a birthday celebration. House salad had too much dressing; cheese bread was very average. Salmon was dramatically undercooked ( and it was not sushi). Other fish (grouper and Chilean sea bass)was average; disappointing for the prices.
We will not return.
Fish, chicken, and steak were all delicious. Perfectly grilled and seasoned. Grouper grilled with a citrus oak flavor was unbelievable! The filet and chicken breast were both well seasoned with flavor yet still juicy. Try the house vinegarette for the salad course. It is a flavorful blend highlighted by parmesean cheese. We tried various side items. The asparagus was grilled perfectly and was very tender. The sauteed mushrooms had a hint of garlic enhanced in a wonderful sauce. The whipped potatoes were baby red potatoes served as a rustic mash, unpeeled and slightly chunky. It works! Finally, the baked potato. It was dressed at the table. Sour cream, butter, cheese, and bacon bits made it super delicious!
Colleen Murphy was our server, she was amazing. It was one of the best dining experiences we had.
FishBones food, service and culture was great. After having such a great experience at FishBones the next night 3/13/19 we went to Johnny's Hideaway and it was wonderful Matt was our server there and whoever hired Colleen and Mat , thank you , we had a FABULOUS evening.
We have eaten here several times on our trips to Orlando and keep coming back
Everything is always right when you go to this place. The most consistent quality of food of any restaurant I have been to
Food was very salty, i liked the bread and salad, service is ok nothing special. I was expecting a different experience base on other reviews overall I won't go back again.
There was a screaming toddler most of the time we were dining. We orgered the artichoke appetizer, it didn't arrive, our meal did, we were then told they were out of them. I ordered black grouper, it tasted sour & burned. I ordered baked potato no bacon, he accidentally put bacon on it. I sent the grouper back, got mahi instead. It was very good. My son got the 24oz steak, best he ever ate. This was my birthday dinner.
Thought portion offering for Black Grouper dinner was not enough. For the price, the value was just not there. Was also a long time between ordering and receiving both drinks and dinner. Waiter did a nice job but took long time between ordering and receiving both drinks and dinner. One of our group ordered the strip steak and he loved it but my wife and I were not impressed with the black grouper dinner.
We never got a table. Was told on three different occasions that they were clearing the tables and they would come and get us in the bar. They never came. We ended up eating appetizers in the bar area.
We arrived on time for 8 PM reservation however we weren’t seated until 8:45 PM after asking twice how long it would be but not given an explanation as to why it was taking so long.
As we were getting seated we saw a number of empty table so I don’t really understand what the delay was in getting seated other than maybe there weren’t enough servers available. We were seated and ordered appetizers with our hostess. Two out of our three appetizers came out. We went long periods time with no water or replenished cocktails Which I found off because there were so many empty tables. We got an update from our server that our entrées were almost ready so we canceled our third appetizer that never came out. Our entrées finally came out closer to 10 PM. At this point we’re no longer hungry and only took a few bites out of our entrée just to taste them. We couldn’t wrap them to go because we were visiting in town and did not have a refrigerator or microwave in our hotel room. The staff was extremely friendly and pleasant. I’m sad this was our experience but I am in no rush to try it again or refer anyone.
Saturday night of the Arnold Palmer invitational and the restaurant had limited help. We waited for a table though we had a reservation. The section we were seated in had at least 8 open tables. Our waiter was nice but obviously stressed. It took about 20 min just to get water. The lemons we asked for did not arrive and it was explained they had to be cut. Dinner took forever. The steak ordered by our guest had to be sent back twice; it never was edible so it was taken off the bill. The lemons never did arrive. The fish of our other guest was not good. Our stone crabs were good but the overall quality and service of this restaurant has gone downhill. We will not return.
Service was slow- especially from the bar for a party of 16
First serving of special rolls were rock hard
Second try was better
Would not go again
It was pricier than the $ but was excellent. A lot of food for the money. Service was excellent. Would recommend a reservation because it’s very busy.
We love this restaurant! The food is absolutely delicious, especially the fried lobster tail appetizer, but all of it was prepared just right. The service was on point with Keshawn, we appreciated his mindfulness. We really enjoyed the vibe for our special date night! Can't wait to go back!
It was an amazing experience. Everything was perfect. A delightful evening.
THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH.
Fantastic food. Great service. Relaxing environment. Looking forward to a return visit.

The food was wonderful and the service and ambiance were excellent. I would highly recommend.
Absolutely going back!!! Excellent
We had the most knowledgeable and friendly waiter, Ed. Food was well prepared and portions were great. We would definitely go back!
The food is wonderful ! The presentation is always appealing .
Our servers were knowledgeable and courteous. It was a very satisfying dining experience .
Food was absolutely amazing. The smoked old fashioned was perfect! Very excited to come back!
We have been to both locations of Fishbones. The service is ALWAYS over the top as is the food. We;ve never had a dish that failed to impress. This time however the smell and heaviness in the air from the open grill was unpleasant. (The tables around us were commenting as well.) We will go back because the service and food is just that good, but I hope the wood burning from the grill won't be so overwhelming next time.
Enjoyed everything. Had the fish speciality, Triger Fish. It was good. Baked potato large and delicious. Would go back
First time going there experience was great the waiter was on top of everything great portions food cook exactly how we loved it will definitely go back
We continue to come back year after year because we love this place!!
Food was mediocre at best, and the price was ridiculously high
Bar was great food good waitress a bit inattentive
Out celebrating my B-Day
Fine Dining at its' best!
Manager- Frank R. ........He was Awesome!
Waitress= Camille - was very efficient and checked on us frequently.
Food- "Excellent" 10 star
Very nice seafood and steak restaurant located not too far from the Universal Studios Resorts. They had numerous fresh seafood and meat options, and tableside carving. Wine selection was very good as well. The staff were friendly and prices were reasonable when compared to eating at the resort.
