Table service itself was excellent but the kitchen must have had issues because it took an hour for our food to come out even though the restaurant was not even half full. Even the appetizer salads took 20+ minutes to arrive.
The shrimp was very mushy and not good
The steak was great
The server was very good
Very nice meal from start to finish, though we didn't have room for dessert. Good sized portions, creative sushi rolls, very nice lamb chops and filet kabob, excellent presentation. Don't overlook Happy Hour featuring a good variety of food and drink at VERY reasonable prices. We would definitely go back!
The food was great. The waiter was very good and knew the menu very well. Great seating and immense service. Lovely evening at a great place.
Hostess was not very friendly. Waiter was very good. Food was surprisingly average. I had the sea bass and it was over cooked. Everyone else commented that it was good, but not over the top good.
We had a reservation through open table and we checked in 10 minutes ahead of time. Another couple
who either had reservations or was a walk in came in behind us and was seated before us in the same server station. As we were seated there were was at least 3 tables in her station or around that area that was open. We didn’t get seated until until 5 minutes after reservations . Very poor seating. Overall their Service was okay
Coming from a great week of fine dining in Charleston I can say this was not only the worst experience of my trip but the worst in a year. I did read reviews of bad service but tried the place for my daughters’ birthday anyway. The service was terrible. Setting us up with bottled water was the first and last thing done right. My grandson cried after the blackened charred burger on a blackened charred bun arrived after 90 minute wait. The waiter admitted it was inedible. The replacement arrived along with my daughter’s entree as we were leaving. Even so, a manager had to intervene to even make that happen. The promised complimentary dessert packed to go proved to be an empty bag. At a cost of 2 1/2 hours and $190 I was too tired to argue. My crab cakes tasted only of char and were mushy. The salads were limp and mediocre. The only food my grandson got was bread we begged for. It arrived 40 minutes in after asking 3 times. The restaurant should change its name to Titanic because it is a disaster. The next day in Orlando, a casual meal at Bahama breeze was superior in flavor and great service.
Food was very good but service was not. We were there 3-1/2 hours for dinner.
The sushi was amazing, however our steaks were poorly cooked. Almost everyone's steak was overcooked, the prime rib was the only ones cooked correctly. Our server was awful. Took forever to get drinks, even longer when we needed refills. I'm sure he wasn't the reason for the delay in our food, from what I could see the kitchen had an extremely hard time with cooking correctly tonight. Almost every table around us had sent their steaks back. We did not, because we had already waited well over an hour and a half to get them. We sat down at 6:30, and did not leave the restaurant until 9:15. There is no reason why it should've taken nearly 3 hours from start to finish. We were already to order after we placed our drink orders, and did place them while waiting for our actual drinks, not just the water.
Pleasant atmosphere - high ceiling, large windows, space between tables, quiet enough to talk. Good service (and friendly), wide wine list, good food. Excellent wedge salad with blue, Atlantic salmon (planked), superb sauteed mushrooms.
Dinner on a Wednesday night. We had the grilled artichokes and the special Hawaiian Trigger fish. Food was well prepared and popped with flavor. Our server was attentive and knowledgeable. He knew the wine list and could talk through the flavor profiles of the wines. A very nice night out. Great job!
Last time I had dinner at FishBones it wasn’t a good experience, service was very good but, the meal was really bad I asked for a sea bas which came all burn out I requested to be replaced and second one wasn’t that goo either and my husband asked for a N Y strip and it was over cooked, dry hard to chew not good at all, for that reason I don’t recommend it! I felt like a waist of money ($260 bill) even the calamari was a over cooked, not going there!
Lauren, our server, was outstanding. Very knowledgeable about the menu; attentive, gracious and thorough.
Great happy hour..very good service...food is very good too
Food was great, management came around and checked on us. Waiter had a great personality.
Food was amazing. The chips and blue cheese appetizer was so good. Not something I typically order but a friend recommended it and I was impressed. The ribeye steak was the best I have ever had at a restaurant and of course when you add the truffle butter on top to let it melt you have an amazing steak dinner.
Poor service, server had no personality, barely talked to us. Food was so so, usually is our go-to restaurant for our birthdays, but not sure if we'll return again. Always get stuck in a dark corner too. Disappointing experience.
We have been dining for over three years at Fishbones. The food quality has been very inconsistent. We have some good meals then some major screw ups. We stop for a while and then give it another try. Currently it seems to be getting bad again. Unfortunately Shula has a limited menu otherwise we won’t be even trying FishBones any more.
We had a great family dining experience. Our waiters were knowledgeable and pleasant. Perfect evening
We made a last minute decision to go to FishBones as a family for our Easter celebration. Our daughter loves fish and we are steak
Foodies. Our server Clint was well-versed with the menu and helpful throughout the experience. I also enjoyed a light cocktail in the outside bar area pre-dinner. We have been coming to FishBones for several years and will continue to do so.
We had Easter dinner there . It was very good
We took our family for Easter dinner. The food was cooked and presented to perfection. Our server Brian did an amazing job. He really knows the menu and made great suggestions.
Our parents met for the first time at Lunch for Easter, everything was great. Everyone enjoyed themselves, the food and service was fantastic!
Several pieces of fish had been cut incorrectly in our order and two were over cooked making them chewy and almost tough. Server was well trained but seemed relatively new. Overall experience was not a value.
Food was fabulous!
Always a great place to celebrate !
My fish was over cooked or under heat lamp way too long. Baking potato brought out late. Finished our salads before wine was served.
Not sure if it was kitchen issue or the server . Not in sync at all!
It was awful. The service was awful, the food was awful and wayyy overpriced for what it is. We could have eaten at Ruth’s Chris for the same price and that would have been farrr better.
The food and service were excellent. We had a great time.
This is probably my 3rd visit to Fish Bones and I ordered the special which was a small filet and a Madagascar Shrimp. Well this shrimp was huge and tasted somewhat like lobster. It was cooked with some kind of cream sauce which was good but I told the waitress that I would have liked better had they just served it with drawn butter. The sauce overpowered the shrimp. It was still good and Filet was perfect. I had baked potato as my side and their House Salad. Believe me when I say it is worth going to just get their house salad. It is beyond good. Their steaks are always good. My friend got Salmon and she thought was close to being the best she had eaten. She also had the Boston Clam Chowder and declared it the best ever. We love Clam Chowder and have had it up in Connecticut and Boston and this was better. By the way they have one of the best, if not the best, happy hour, out on their patio. Try and see if I am not right.
We’ve been there four times since Christmas & enjoyed it every time.
Their filet mignon melts in your mouth and loaded baked potatoes are to die for, customized for you tableside.
We were celebrating my grandfather’s birthday, and I am happy to report he had a GREAT experience! Our waitress, Cassidy (?) was AMAZING, knowledgeable , very professional and fun! The food was exquisite and the overall ambiance was soothing to the soul. A truly fantastic experience! Highly recommend to all my friend, and can’t wait to come back!
Great food and service!
A wonderful experience! Fully enjoyed it. It was the perfect atmosphere for a girls night out and the food was wonderful.
Always on my list for a good meal. Lake Mary location is better than the Sand Lake Road location in my personal opinion, less touristy. Menu selections are better as well. Been coming to this location for 5-6 years now, very seldom disappoint.
I love that they don't try to push you out the door. You can relax have a few drinks then order dinner. Their food is top-notch. I like the add-on options for your dinners or your steaks. They also have a great Happy hour if you want to venture out to the patio. The only bad thing I would have to say about it is it such a nice restaurant that it should happen better view for you but the location does not supply a view.
Had an off night for sure. Very very very slow service. We had to ask several times to check on our courses. Several dishes had to be sent back. Some items completely wrong, some were ice cold. Not sure whats going on but I hope they fix it.
One of our favorite seafood places to eat. But wishing they'd put back some favorites on the menu. Or an option to leave off sauces without changing full price.
Great experience - had a table full of out of town clients and everyone was raving about the food and service!! Will be back!!
