My only complaint.. I was on a first date and the waiter was at our table asking if we were okay so often it felt like I couldn't get more than a sentence or two out before he was back again. Yet, he couldn't just bring a new coke to the table, he had to ask if I wanted one. I didn't come to your restaurant to have a conversation with the staff.
If that doesn't bother you though, the food was absolutely delicious.
I have enjoyed dining here in the past, however this was not enjoyable.
Service was spotty, the table was not cleared of appetizer plates for quite a while, drinks were not replaced in a timely fashion. And some of our orders were mixed up, something I would not expect at this establishment! I ordered prime rib with a baked potato, but had to prompt our server that I didn't get my baked potato!! No attempt to make me feel good about the sloppy service was extended. I am reluctant to return to this establishment especially since I enjoy the food so much!!
We have been going to this restaurant for 6 years now and it’s sad that the food has really gone downhill. Don’t bother with any of the fish offerings, preparation is bland and unimaginative. Steaks are good, Lamb chops mediocre. The food is the issue here, ambiance and service is immaculate. I am not returning.
We’ve tried repeatedly and hoped for restaurant redemption. Unfortunately, the service and food quality have bottomed out. Tonight I ordered the ribs. By far the worst ribs I’ve ever tasted. I did enjoy the mozzarella salad and ATW baked potato. My husband ordered the mahi and it was completely charred. The Atmosphere has brought us back, but we won’t do it again. There are too many places to spend $200 on a meal in Central Florida. The waitress was very friendly. I can see that the staff has too many tables and not enough help leaving patrons unattended for long periods. We were seated nearly 20 minutes before getting a glass of water.
We had a reservation and were on time. We waited 15 minutes before I had to get up and go to the hostess stand to ask for a server. The server promptly came over and apologized that she was in the back because the table next to us had their appetizer order screwed up (probably shouldn’t have told us that). We ordered appetizers which consisted of grilled artichokes (excellent), table made cocktail shrimp (never told us it was the normal cocktail shrimp) which was ok and my daughter ordered 2 orders of oysters. The artichokes came timely. It was kind of a bit of a wait for the tableside shrimp cocktail. The oysters were still not there. The server finally came over and asked about the Oysters (the set up came about 20 minutes before) and we said she never got them. She came back to inform us that they were on their way and the first order was stolen. Another excuse. She ate a few and they didn’t taste right. At this point we were there for an hour and 15 minutes with only appetizers served so we asked for our check for what we ate and drank. The manager came over and we just simply wanted our check and wanted to get out. He offered a to fix the wrong and explained they were only there for a week (yet another excuse hmm) and offered us a gift card. I declined as we were there to celebrate our daughter’s birthday and wanted to pay for what we ate and drank. We waited another 5-10 minutes for what I believe was the GM And he again offered us a gift card and to comp our tab so far. I refused as we are not there to get something for free and just wanted a nice night. They again gave us the gift card which my husband accepted and directly gave it to our daughter whos birthday dinner it was (she will use at Moonfish). He then agreed to have them charge us for a soda so we could tip the server who apologized and cried which tells us this is a normalcy for them. Thanks for trying to right a wrong but this has happened in the past and never again.
I booked this restaurant for my early 50th Birthday friends get together for 15 people. We arrived early 6:00PM and all hand drinks outside in very nice bar with plenty of seating and live music. That bar is very nice and why I selected this venue in the first place. Our reservation was at 7:30PM and all arrived on time. I was pleasantly surprised to have our own private room to dine in . The waiter was very attentive and we enjoyed our time. I ordered the filet and lobster with mushrooms as my side. The mushrooms tasted burnt and the filet was almost "BLUE" (rare) when I order medium rare. The meat had little flavor and was a disappointment. SInce I did not enjoy that meal, my wife and I enjoyed home cooked filets from Costco the following night more than dinner there. I expected far better from this Charley's owned place. I will return here again, however probably just for the fish or more likely just happy hour and apps.
I hesitate to write this since I hate to leave negative reviews. However, consistently over the last two years I’ve tried to bring people here for business dinners. Each time the food has been mediocre and the service a train wreck. To be fair though it might just be the timing from the kitchen and not the waiters fault. Either way it shouldn’t take over three hours for a 6 or 8 top to get appetizers, entrees and dessert. But on more than one occasion I have been underwhelmed and held hostage while I wait for them to fill an order. It all feels very amateurish for an established restaurant and even more so for the prices they charge.
We felt nearly ignored most of the night. We dined with children so I don't know if that was an issue, but they were dressed well and behaved well so it shouldn't have been an issue at all. We had been served our salads and almost immediately after, our entrees arrived. We went from ignored to rushed. The manager assured us everything would be prepared fresh but that didn't appear to be the case. The fish wasn't flavorful or worth the $30-$40 we paid for it. Overall, we didn't feel that the service or food merited the pricetag. We will probably not go back for anything other than appetizers during happy hour.
This was our first time here. The Clam Chowder was THE best we ever had. I got the fried shrimp which were delicious and my husband got the surf and turf w/lobster tail and his was fabulous. We will definitely go back again....can't wait to go back again!!!!!
This location was recommended by friends and it was great. We were a little uncomfortable being seated next to the bar and live music. When the door opened, the conversation at the table was a little disrupted by the loud music at first. Regardless, we enjoyed great service, very tasty and generous food, and a visit from a manager checking on everything. Highly recommend.
Very interesting experience. The restaurant Building is impressive offering various venues within its confines.

The waiter Javier may have been one of the most well informed ever. He had expertise in every detail of all menu items. Service was slow not because of his abilities just too many demanding tables for one waiter.

I’ve been to this location several times and I’ve always given it five stars. This visit was not worthy of five. The service wasn’t good. Our waiter was nice and very attentive. But it took a hour to get our main course. Everyone around us was receiving food, most had been seated well after us. I knew something was wrong when at about the 30 minute mark one of the managers and a different waiter started alternating coming to the table to check on us and advise that the food would be here shortly. I think they either ruined our order or someone forgot it. I know things happen and I can except the fact that mistakes are made, but what I hate more than anything is when I’m not informed on what is happening. The waiter trying to distract us with all his personal stories is not why we can in to dine. Somebody should have been honest and advised us of what was going on.
We had reservations and were there to celebrate our anniversary. While our waiter, Austin, was outstanding, the management left something to be desired. It took quite some time to get our food. We had asked that the food on my husband's plate be cut up because he only has one functional hand, and they did cut the meat, but not all the way through, so it was still very difficult for him to deal with since it seemed to be all strung together. The asparagus was not cut. Also, when our food finally arrived, the filet mignon and asparagus on both plates were lukewarm at best, although the lobster tail was hot. They took the cold food back (after bringing me a plate to put my cold steak on) and reheated it, but even that was botched since they only brought one serving of asparagus back (which also was not cut). I realize that we were served expensive cuts of beef, but I thought taking the food from my plate, reheating it, and bringing the same food back was tacky. At the very least, the manager should have had the entire plates taken away and then brought back looking more palatable. The whole thing was a bit of a three-ring-circus-experience having to move food back and forth from one plate to the next. After all that, with no effort to comp anything or even offer a small gift certificate, I suggested to the manager as we were leaving that in the future he should consider comping or offering a gift certificate if such a thing happened with other customers in the future, at which point he mumbled something about the fact that we don't eat sugar, as if our dietary requirements had somehow made his life problematic (We make every effort NOT to be problematic in that regard. That is why we paid extra for asparagus without batting an eyelash even though we had no bread and no salad refills, as offered on the menu), then he offered to get me gift card. It was a bit too late at that point. We won't be going back.
The food was great and service was excellent as always but they were out of Baked Potatoes and did not ask what I wanted for a sub just threw on my plate some mashed,not GOOD!!!!! ALSO! The table we were seated at vibrated, YES VIBRATED we asked our FAVORITE waiter Guy he said it was the fountain pump cycling, VERY IRRITATING!!!!!
Great Service, incredible food selection and preparation. Wonderful atmosphere. The prices were very reasonable for a high end restaurant. Total bill was $135.00 (for a couple) which included wine, appetizer, salad, main course and desert.
Highly recommend this restaurant, if you are celebrating a special occasion.
