Early dinner on a Friday evening as a couple. Service was attentive and in a timely manner. Grilled swordfish was cooked perfectly as was the branzino. Side dishes were tasty as well. The "naked" fish with a choice of different sauces provides several choices for diners. Nice atmosphere. Would recommend as a worthwhile place for dinner! Definitely, would return! Thanks
Food is really good and if you love fish this is the place for you. You can choose the fish you want and the way you would like it cooked. You can add a sauce and then a side. Restaurant is small so you should make reservations. I have been there several times and never disappointed. The staff is very attentive.
Overall the food and service were very good. The octopus appetizer and lobster and crab bisque were excellent. The branzino entree was ok - the serving was small and it was expensive. You get to pick a vegetable or starch - why not both? I opted for the olive- tomato tapenade as the topping. It was just chopped olives and tomatoes, very dry and added nothing to the dish. The seafood pesto was good but not great. Overall expensive.

Visited Fish for a holiday-business lunch. A total of six people with a 12:30 reservation made more than a week in advance, the week before X-mas. The food itself was good, but for the second time I visited for a business lunch the service was lacking. While the wait staff was clearly doing it's part, I think the kitchen was overwhelmed and under-staffed. It took far too long to get our appetizers, and then far too long after that for our entrees. Several members of my department had to cancel or postpone 2:00 and 2:30 meetings because the meal was so slow. Considering the season and the location (downtown in a business city), I would expect better planning and execution. All that said, I like the food and the atmosphere and will return.
Consistently high quality food. Not necessarily the most inventive menu, but everything is well executed and it’s nice to be able to customize your fish to your taste with sauces, crusts, etc.
The shaved brussel sprouts salad was great, a good portion to share as a starter for two. I enjoyed a tasty and filling special with local(ish) bass and lentils. Also a great spot for cocktails.
We didn’t have room left for dessert, but I liked that they had a “sampler” option for those of us who are indecisive.
I love this place. If you love seafood then this is the place to go. It is small and reservations are necessary. They had Stella Mar oysters from Stamford/Norwalk that were fantastic and I think better than Blue POints. I had swordfish which was tremendous and my GF had the whole Sea Bass which was excellent as well. Great service and a great dining experience. I will be back soon.
I love F.I.S.H. From drinks after work with Happy Hour Apps to dinner to lunch! The bartenders and waiters and managers are personable and terrific. I highly recommend.
Came in for dinner with friends who were visiting from out of town. Although the restaurant was not at all full or busy, we were given a table in the very back of the room right next to the kitchen entrance and tjis really took away from the dinner atmosphere. The swinging doors were constantly left open by the staff providing our table with views of the other diners’ meals and the work area. Seervice was slow and we had to inquire about some of the orders several times. Food was very good as always and we would come back because of that, but the management needs to work on improving the service and consider a better setup around the kitchen area (like installing a decorative wall maybe).
