We made a last minute reservation on a Sunday evening. Excellent Food and Service.
Fishbones serves more than just fish ... and prepares all entrées to perfection. Never disappointed with our meals nor with the service...always pleasant and attentive.
Delicious food, great location, great service, perfect for our anniversary!
I hosted an important business meeting over dinner at Fish Bones. We were seated in their private room, "The Trophy Room". The food and service were excellent. Highly recommend this restaurant.
We love Fishbones! Food was outstanding. Our server was friendly but seemed a bit nervous. We’ll be back!
Atmosphere was busy since it was a Saturday night. Appetizer was tasty after it came to our table, I believe if originally got delivered to a different table first, dinner on the other hand wasn’t so much. My husband had the a seafood dish that had so much cheese you couldn’t taste the seafood at all. I had haddock and shrimp both were cooked fine but my potatoes were cold and the brussel sprouts were very bland and boring.
Great surf and turf, ribs and calamari. Fishbones is worth a visit when in Lewiston.
Great food and one of the best upscale dining options in central Maine!
Had an 8 pm reservation and were sat promptly. Ordered drinks which were fine and served timely as was our appetizer . Thirty minutes went by between that and or entrees being served. No apology or explanation. Requested a glass of red wine and offered a white wine list only. Service was poor and made us feel not welcomed
Had our usual excellent and interesting meals. Flavorful and well balanced. Good service.
This place never disappoints and we had a particularly delicious and flavorfully inventive meal on this visit. Will return often!
We were there for my wife’s birthday. I had the Seafood Capellini & it was excellent ! I would have it again.
Terrific flavor ! My wife had the Tuna, very very good !
Very satisfied !
Great service & food in a very comfortable atmosphere
We both had land and sea because we have at it before but was shocked to see it was shrimp and not scallops at the same price. Food was still good and drinks just wasn’t worth paying for shrimp and cheaper sea food
I want to eat there every time I'm in L-A. It was amazing as always!
Our waiter was great. Thoughtful and attentive and just plain NICE! Gave us some good guidance for menu choices. Food was-!-we even talked about it later that night. We will visit again.
We have been to Fish Bones on three occasions. Overtime, the food is fresh and delicious and the service is always great!
Great to have the brunch back on Sundays!!!!
Food was great, went there for Brunch. Has been awhile, will definitely be back
Overall, the food was good. I was disappointed because I went there to have a beef Wellington, and it was made with stewed beef. If I had known that prior to cutting into it I might gave even liked it. The Ahi tuna app was amazing, desserts wefe quite good, and service was excellent!
We were surprised and delighted by the quality of Fish Bones. We had wanted to try it for several years but were never in Lewiston at the right time. Finally we made a date to go there for a Saturday night dinner. Being from greater Portland, we have had the opportunity to eat at many of that city's recognized fine dining establishments, and we would rank Fish Bones right up there - not quite at the top of the scale but pretty close. Using north of Portland as our comparison pool, we gave Fish Bones five stars as a standout in the Freeport/Brunswick/ Lewiston/Auburn area. Well done! We'll be back.
FOOD WAS AMAZING, AND THE SERVICE WAS EXCELLENT! WILL DEFINITELY GO AGAIN SOONER THAN LATER.
good food but way way way to loud. service fine. large group very loud, could not talk across our table.
We would not return, although the food and drinks were excellent, because the noise level was so loud that we could not have a conversation.
While the menu is great, the food preparation and taste were inconsistent. We asked for our steak to be medium and it was rare! We sent to back and the waitress gave us major attitude! Very noisy restaurant in the back room to the fact we had to yell to speak one another.
The food was pretty good, our server walked by our table a few times before she came over and then was just kind of awkward the whole time... No sense of hospitality or humor. It was our anniversary and I made note of that on our reservation and no one did or said anything at all.
very good time
This is my favorite restaurant in Lewiston!
Very tasty and well done menu! My wife and I loved the food. Service could have been a bit quicker but overall a great experience.
Waited about 20 minutes to be seated even w/reservation. Only 2 choices for a non meat-eater..A simple salad, or rissoto as long as you like the chefs choice that week. My salad was plain, and the tiny bowl of dressing wasn't nearly enough. My husband ordered a feta/chicken dish and the menu didn't mention it was full of Greek olives which he doesn't like. Dissapointing, especially for the prices there.
Enjoyed dinner here. Chose a burger and it was very tasty.
We were on our way to a play and fully enjoyed our table location and the mill atmosphere. The Sunday brunch menu was varied with lots of interesting choices. Be sure to have the tuna crisps!
The downside was we had to ask (twice) about the chorizo sausage that was supposed to come in our mussels, and for bread to soak up the broth. Eventually, We got a side dish of crumbled sausage to mix in after we were almost done with the mussels. I also had to ask for more coffee and then for cream (after my friend got her soda refilled and my coffee was empty) and for ketchup for the fries. We split a monte cristo (kind of odd made with smoked pork) and while we did get an extra plate, we only got 1 syrup. However, our server had a lovely personality and I attribute her oversights to training issues, not attitude. She wasn’t busy.
All said, I’d go back. The food was delicious, fairly priced and and as previously noted...have the ahi tuna crisps. Amazing!
This is our favorite restaurant in this area. The atmosphere is warm and cozy and the servers are very good, very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about the menu. You can't go wrong coming to Fish Bones.
absurd menu. did not bring what we asked. badly prepared. not worth the trip
The welcome was friendly and hospitable. Our server was welcoming, friendly, well informed and attentive.
It was very nice to come and just relax. We really enjoyed our lunch. It was more than we could eat.
My wife and I went for Sunday brunch. We really liked the fact that they don't squeeze in too many tables. There is room to sit comfortably and walk around with ease. The waitress was very nice and friendly. Very pleasant to talk to. We started off with a scone, which was excellent. My wife had a frittata, which she enjoyed very much. I had the smoked salmon benedict and it was fantastic. In both our meals I would have to say the potato hash was not the high light of the meal.
We would definitely go back again.
As 10 first time diners we were very pleasantly surprised at the wonderful meal and service. Will definitely attend again!
This was not our first experience dinning at FishBone, it was a fun and pleasant experience as always ! It is one of our greatest gems in the Lewiston/ Auburn area.
We had a wonderful evening at Fishbones. The waiter, from Poland, was outstanding, He was attentive to our needs and was friendly and courteous. The food was excellent, except that the steak was a bit tough. Other than that, the experience was excellent. Our hats are off to a great restaurant.
