Just a short walk from Haymarket train station, First Coast is a local, independent neighbourhood restaurant. Over the past 11 years we’ve built a strong reputation for serving top quality modern Scottish food at reasonable prices.
Named after a small village in Wester Ross, where the owner has fond memories of eating brilliant Scottish produce during his childhood holidays, First Coast’s menu has something for everyone. Fresh fish is delivered daily, we offer a good range of tasty vegetarian options, J Gilmour butchers supply us with quality Aberdeen Angus steak, and we also make our own haggis

We often come to First Coast before a rugby game. It never disappoints . Good and service are excellent.

Food was very good and the atmosphere was pleasant considering how quiet the restaurant was when we were there. No rush to vacate table. Staff very pleasant and attentive

First visit this year, found the lunch menu a bit restricted. Food was perfectly cooked and presented, no issue there. Too many flavours in my coley dish for my preference, cream sauce with the mussels was heavy & over powering. Will come back soon for dinner as this restaurant has been a firm favourite for many years, and just hope is was down to main course selection. Starter haggis & calamari were great.

You always get good food and service in this restaurant. As a vegetarian, the only criticism I’d have is that it would be good to have a better choice than just one option for each course.
