We are excited to welcome you to First & Oak! We offer outdoor seating on our heated patio & inside our intimate dining rooms. Seating is limited, a credit card is required & will only be charged for cancellations. Please allow us a minimum of 24 hours prior to avoid any cancelation fees.

We offer two dining experiences: Traditional Three Course or a Chef's Five Course Tasting Menu.
Parties of 6 or more please call. When reserving standard (indoor) or outdoor seating (Please be mindful regarding the weather, it tends to get chilly as the night goes on), please choose which experience you would prefer & let us know of any dietary restrictions, Vegan request needs a days advance notice.

First and Oak is located inside the Mirabelle Inn, & was awarded a Michelin Plate designation in 2022. We offer a seasonally-inspired menu that highlights local & organic ingredients prepared in a thoughtful manner. Our dining room operates with the mindset of warm compassionate attentive service.

The Chef's Tasting Menu is the signature dining experience at First & Oak - highlighting our most seasonal preparations, featuring produce from the farms in Santa Ynez Valley, seafood from off the California Coast and other local specialties. Chef Ivan Coronel and his team's level of execution and attention to detail is apparent in every dish, offering delicious menu options for each course, allowing guests to engage with the menu each night. Wine pairings are offered along with the Chef's Tasting Menu on a nightly basis. The food was absolutely incredible. The thought and presentation of each course was brilliant. We brought a friend here for his birthday, he was very impressed. We have been to the restaurant every year for the last 4 years, we drive up to Solvang from Orange County just to have the dinner experience. It’s an absolute must, an unforgettable food experience that is worth every penny.

We come here every time we're in Solvang -- except last January when they canceled our reservation because SpaceX bought the place out, much to our irritation. It is consistently excellent, which is why we come back. This most recent visit was not as good as our previous visits had been, but it's a high bar to clear and the dinner was still good, so we'll be back regardless. They have switched the menu so that a la carte dining is no longer available. You choose between a 3 course or 5 course prix fixe menu both of which have some great options. There is also an available wine paring, and the pairings are appropriate and tasty, but this last time weighted towards whites. The roasted cauliflower is a standout, and has been among the offerings pretty much every time we've been. So you should try that. There are only a few local options for "real fine dining" in the Solvang area, and this one is still tops.

A perfect environment to share a meal with someone you love. We were celebrating 38 years of marriage by visiting the first stop on our honeymoon. Solvang has changed a great deal in 38 years and in this case for the better. We were very pleased with the 5 course offering. We each chose different course options and were able to try everything. We will be back!!!

We enjoyed the three course tasting menu for a birthday celebration. The food was amazing and the staff was very attentive. I especially loved the homemade bread and the cauliflower starter, as well as the wine pairing suggestions.
