   We had a reservation, and were put in the table in the farthest back corner of the restaurant, but the kitchen and back door. It was incredibly HOT, with no air circulation, and every server and busboy who walked by our table loudly shouted "Corner!" The food was pretty good - I enjoyed the onion rings I got with my burger. Service was excellent, friendly and patient. Atmosphere was fun and upbeat. I'd go back, but would ask for a better seat where we weren't so hot that we were sweating.

    I arrived about 30 minutes before my reservation and I the hostesses were more than happy to seat me. I walk with a cane due to a disability and I am unable to go up stairs without a lot of difficulty. The lovely hostess took the elevator up with me and, over my profuse apologies for being a pain, she assured me that there was nothing to be sorry for and it was no big deal. She even gave me a hug and told me that everything is ok when I expressed that my disability has been an issue for friends in the past. This lady needs to be recognized for being a sweet human being. She had nothing to gain from being nice other than the reward of knowing that she made someone feel immeasurably better.

    Rae was exceptional … very pleasant, smiling, friendly, attentive and supportive … without being the least bit pushy or rushing us .. clearly very busy but made us feel like we were the only patrons. The staff move at an astonishingly fast pace. The food was hot, tasty, and generous. Warmed my heart to revisit my 1966 year in London with Twiggy and the Beatles. Great décor … even had my tube stop on the map!!! Clean washrooms. Oh, and the main attraction … great coffee for post theatre visit. Location beside Elgin Theatre was the reason for booking. Food, service, staff, décor being the reason to return.

    We enjoyed the food and would visit again. We had to remind the staff about the appetizer we had ordered,however. Also, we found it very loud and so impossible to talk to one another without raising our voices.

    There servers were very friendly however the service was slow . My dirty dish wasn't cleared off my table until I was leaving . and the food was average at best as far as pub food goes

    The staff were great, the food was tasty pub grub but the place was louder than I like . It was just down the street from the Elgin so very handy. I would go back for sure

    Worked out to be a perfect location before seeing the show at the Elgin! Happy to be seated upstairs where it was a bit quieter. Food was all good and came quickly. We were very pleased with our experience!

    It was busy , however we were being served from a waitress who was also handling a bigger party and seemed flustered , it as not her fault . We did not have any condiments on the table and were sat a a really small table , we did say we were in a rush ,as we did have a show to go to , however we did have time for one more drink but it took forever to get her attention again ,and by that point it was too late . We paid the bill fast and tried to get a spot at the bar ,but it was too busy by that time . Overall the meal was good , just a little busy

    The restaurant was very loud but to be expected as it is a pub and very busy. Food was quickly delivered to the table and was very tasty. The service was quick to start but then we seemed to be forgotten. There was no offering to refill our drinks. We were given the dessert menu and then again waited for service. We ended up leaving without dessert. The waitress was very friendly as well as very busy.

    Unfortunately I booked a table for my wife & I before going to see a play & was very disappointed . My wife ordered the Mac & Cheese & I had in Spinach Mushroom Penne meal . The appetizer was lukewarm & my meal was cold with a thick paste/ glue like texture. I had to dip in the Mac & Cheese sauce to help add some moisture & that didn't help. Ate less than half & I was done. This is not made fresh, it's pre-made & microwaved to heat it up. Waiters was very apologetic & took 1/2 the cost of my meal even after I told her not to as it was not her fault. It was a big mistake going there as it ruined what should have been a nice evening out. I booked there because I have never had a bad experience at other Firkins . The cook ( sorry to say ) j does not give a crap what comes out of the kitchen & that is a real shame.

    I'd give 3.5 stars if I could; the soup I had was lovely and filling at a very good price. Service was good and the place was clean, never got a chance to check the washrooms though. The biggest drawback was how loud the music was. We were sat near a speaker and you'd think they'd turn it down a bit, yet we got through the meal in one piece so it wasn't the end of the world. The main course I ordered was nothing special either; the soup was the highlight of my meal.

    It’s a British themed pub, although as a Brit myself it’s a far cry from a real British pub, it’s a Disney/Austin Powers version. Nonetheless it was a good night out, the food and beer was good, waiter service attentive and the atmosphere fun. I visit again next time I am in Toronto
