Went there before a Leafs game, table was ready for us. Waitress was awesome and extremely attentive. Food was quite good, and reasonably priced. Had us in and out in an hour, which was perfect. Cheers!!

Stopped for quick meal. Nice casual dining in pub atmosphere; pretty loud so be prepared. Service was prompt, staff welcoming and attentive. Menu is varied, mix of traditional pub food with English twist. Fair price for what we had, would go again but not the best if you need to have serious conversation due to noise level (at least at dinner hours).

Needed a place close to the ACC for a quick bite before a concert. Added bonus - on open table so we were able to secure a reservation so we didn't need to feel rushed or worry about waiting to get a table. Enough items on menu where everyone can find something they like. Good food and service.

Perfect restuarant for a pre concert dinner. Short walk to the Air Canada Center, but away from the busy, crowded restuarants. Parking close by as well. Very friendly staff who really know the menu and options well. Will definitely return.:-)

I went for the first time. I had my granddaughter with me, she had the Chicken fingers with fries and it was tasty and plentiful. I had the Arugula salad with grilled chicken, tasty. Only two observations, first I asked for root beer without caffeine, they only had with. Second it was a hot day and the place was warm, I do not know if the air conditioning was working at all.

Air conditioning does not work properly, so the pub is extremely uncomfortable to be in during the summer. I wouldn't recommend anyone planning to go here in the summer for more than a quick drink. Other options around have great climate control so that you are comfortable when there.

We were on the patio. The service was very slow. She didn't come to clear away our food dishes. I had to ask twice for the bill. Food was ok. We were not told specials.

Booked this restaurant before my friend and I headed to a concert at the ACC. It was in walking distance which was ideal. We were half an hour late to our reservation because of traffic but they still accommodated us. The restaurant wasn't terribly busy when we arrived but after my friend and I were seated, two large groups came in. They did not have reservations. We waited about 20 minutes before the waitress came over to take our order. She did not look happy and made us feel very rushed. We ordered our food and proceeded to wait. After waiting another 20 minutes, we were served our appetizer, followed by our meals. The food itself was fantastic. Hot and delicious. The serving sizes were rather small though, especially for the cost. My friend and I were rather irritated as the waitress never came back to see how our meals were, never offered us a drink refill, didn't even clear our plates; she was too focused on dealing with the two big groups as they had ordered alcohol. The waitress didn't even bring us our bill. We had to walk up to the bar and ask to pay since we had to leave to make the concert. While the food was good, we will not be returning.

As always a great time! Love this place!! As a vegetarian more options on the menu would be great. Service is always fantastic no matter how busy. I have recommend this reaturant over again to friends and colleagues. Deep fried pickles are delicious. I would like to have more craft beer options being in the city with son many options locally. Either way thank you!!

We've been to this Firkin a number of times in the past and the service has been hit and miss - mostly miss. We went on this occasion for the first time in a while and were pleasantly surprised. I don't know if there was a change in staff since the last time, but this time it seemed like our patronage was actually valued. Keep it up and we may keep coming back more regularly.

except as noted , great service, fantastic location and not that busy right before the hockey game. The only concern was the fish part of the fish and chips was fairly over cooked (extra crispy). I would never have served that piece at my house to family but my dad did not want to send it back.

Food was good but the service wasn't great. Our appetizers came out after our entrees and the waitress put a pre-set tip into the card reader that my mother couldn't figure out how to change. We generally tip well but 25% for poor service was way too much and very unprofessional to put into system. I will not be returning.

Been here a few times at lunch with co-workers and the quality of food and service is good. Last time the service was slow however we we forewarned as the kitchen was short staffed. I can't say the servers are bad however a little more smiling would go a long way. Perhaps they don't like working there ??
