Son s wishes before he leaves for west coast . We had to wait about 45 min for the table but the manager was kind enough to offer us drinks in the house while waiting. Service. Food and all that were great and we had a great time!
Always a great meal at Firestones. I still feel this is the best restaurant in Frederick. The food is top notch and the service is second to none.
This is one of my favorites in Frederick, they never fail on service or good food.
We had delicious food in a festive atmosphere. The Baked Onion Soup au Gratin was outstanding!
Always a great dining experience at Firestone's and our recent gathering was no exception!
A cozy restaurant in the heart of Frederick with great food, great service, nice workers and an interesting menu. We'll definitely be back!
I️ asked my server for a wine pairing suggestion for the lobster entree and he directed me to all of them. It wasn’t very helpful.
Excellent food and a great waiter.
Great food. Noise level this night was extremely high.
The food was phenomenal; however, the service needs work. It was a special occassion we were celebrating and our server kept rushing us through our dinner service. I can only assume she was doing this because the restaurant was packed and they needed the table. But every time we were working on our meal she wanted to remove our plates before we were done. Same thing happened when we ordered our appetizers and entrees and even with the dessert. We really wanted to finish our meal as it was very delicious but overall the whole experience felt rushed. I wasn’t taking pica or anything with my phone to prolong my dinner my husband and I were just eating and I don’t even think we are that much slow eaters. If you want a quick rushed bite, this is the place for you but if you want to share the moment and have time for a conversation with someone and actually have time to finish your meal go elsewhere.
Great food, excellent service. We had the prime rib and it was as tender as can be. Olivia is an excellent server.
Consistently good food with a "bistro flavor" coupled with great ambience.
There were little options for gluten free. We ended up just getting the shrimp cocktail appetizer and going to Brewers Alley for lunch because they have a gluten free menu there. With so many restaurants offering GF options I was surprised Firestone’s had nothing to offer. Very disappointing.
Firestone’s is one of our favorites. Great food and excellent service. My only complaint is the noise. The bar is right below the tables and on a Friday or Saturday night the noise level can make it hard to have a conversation. We are going to try to go on weeknights from now on.
The food was innovative and tasty, including a superb salad with pear slices and sweetened nuts. Service was motivated and friendly.
Wonderful food. Great service.
We dined after seeing a show at the Weinberg! Everything was delicious and the waiter made excellent recommendations. We were lucky enough to get a seat in the window upstairs -- the best seat in the house!
Four friends gather before attending a concert. The meal was delicious, especially the creme brulee we all had for dessert. Our server Tyler great, friendly, informative and responsive. And bonus was the jazz trio on the lower level in the bar area and we enjoyed the view of Market Street from the upper level table.
Great meal and service.
Food was fantastic! Waiter (Tyler? I can't quite remember, something like that) was wonderful. Great experience!
Only found this restaurant in the last year, but this place is a real gem. The wait staff is friendly and knowledgeable, the ambiance is amazing, and the food is exceptional. Seriously, the quality, the presentation, the flavors - this is a great dining experience. And the menu runs the full gamut - from salads and sandwiches to an amazing cowboy steak. These are the best chefs in Frederick. I love this place!
Always enjoy Firestone's! Need to remember that late dinners are noisy due to bar. Earlier dinners are better for conversation.
We love Firestones. It's the perfect blend of casual and elegant. Wonderful, creative food that's not overdone. Great wine list. Be sure to go early for an aperitif and some oysters at their little raw bar next door to the restaurant, and stop by their gourmet shop afterward to get something lovely to take home.
Firestone’s is one of my favorites in Frederick. I have been here many times and the menu is always wonderful. Service is excellent and the food is fresh and cooked well. Tastes are terrific.
Very good dinner. All plates were great and service was wonderful. They are eager to accomadate gluten free without impact to your meal.
Had a wonderful meal here. Made reservations to sit in the upstairs window. With the Christmas Lights in the trees, it was very festive. Would recommend making sure you get one of those tables for extra ambiance. Server was friendly. Loved the asparagus soup given as a taste before the meal came out. Very nice touch. I ordered the Duo of Duck, and it was the best duck dish I have had. Both versions of the duck were tasty without being gamey at all. The polenta and celeriac complemented the duck perfectly. The brussel sprouts however were a little underdone for my liking. Overall very delicious though. Wife had the tomato and goat cheese gnocchi. The gnocchi were so soft and light. Melted in your mouth with a wonderful complementing sauce. Very romantic evening. Will absolutely return.
I love going to Firestones. The food and ambiance is always exceptional. It is a favorite. You can’t go wrong choosing Firestone’s for lunch or dinner.
Lovely view of old-town from the upstairs tables! I had the BBQ pulled pork sandwich and was surprised how amazingly tasty it was- not too sweet like regular BBQ, and very tender and moist pork. Also the fries were top-notch, which is So important! I went with a friend and can't wait to take my husband back there! Also thanks to the patient staff who kept our table even though we were running late. Staff were very attentive and friendly.
Great food but the wine list could be better.
If you get a seat near the window the views of Market Street are very nice.
When the place is packed it gets very noisy.
We like to eat here but try to choose times when it isn't quite so busy.
High-end restaurant so very pricey and small quantities of food but very good.
Once a year, my group of childhood friends meets for lunch. We always look for a restaurant with a good menu, ambience and a quiet corner where we can converse and linger over our meal. Firestone fit the bill. We had a great time and the food was delicious.
As has been the case for many years, Firestone's is always a great place.
Excellent food, excellent service! A seat at the window gives a bird's eye view of the action on the street below.
Fabulous food, great service! Love it!!
Firestone's is always reliable for great food and service. The chef is constantly trying new ideas, while holding on to menu favorites. Both fish and meats are expertly cooked. Three of us on this visit had Wagyu flat iron steaks that were wonderful. The availability of some fresh seafood (eg: oysters, ceviche, tuna) from the next door Raw Bar is a bonus, as is the very nice fairly-priced wine list.
Haven't been to Firestone's for several years. Decided to meet some friends for dinner on a Friday night. Table was ready immediately, wait staff came to the table with water and menus as soon as seated. Great table upstairs right by the window with a view to the street below. However, immediately noticed the noise from the bar below and remembered that was one of the reasons we don't typically dine here. At one point, it was so loud I felt like we were screaming to our friends to have a conversation. That being said, the food to amazing. We had the rockfish, scallops, bone-in pork shank, and duck breast for the 4 entrees --each one beautifully presented and perfectly prepared. Our waiter was attentive but overly so.
We shared a dessert - yummy creme brulee. Would definitely eat here again, but would probably avoid a busy Friday night at 7:30pm.
First time here. I felt like I had walked back in time to the farmhouse of my youth - heavy wood, pressed tin ceiling, large banister stairs, and squeaky floors. I instantly fell in love with the low lit memory. I was escorted upstairs and shown to a table by the window overlooking the street. I deeply hoped that the food matched the mood. I was not disappointed.
Along with a very dry glass of Riesling, I enjoyed fresh-baked herb-crusted bread (very light) and a small crock of potato soup. The main course was four dollar-sized scallops on a bed of quinoa and asparagus with a mildly spicy sauce to keep it interesting. On the side was a surprise slice of fried prosciutto.
That little tidbit showed up again with my creme brulee, making a fascinating sweet and sour combo that I would definitely go back for.
It's a bit pricey compared to other restaurants in town but the chef's inventions are worth it. Portion size also is quite favorable. So I will definitely be back for another adventure soon.
My server was knowledgeable, attentive, friendly, and very well trained.
Everything was excellent, highly recommend.
Thank you very much ...i love this place I will come back !!!!!!
We went for my boyfriends birthday. Everything was excellent from the atmosphere to the food.
