The Foie Gras was phenomenal. I would definitely order it again. We had a lovely table by the front window upstairs. We had the Bone In Pork Chop and the Scallops. Service was outstanding and we enjoyed a visit from Chef Danny. Thank you Firestone for making my Husbands Fathers Day Dinner one to remember.
Great seat by the window overlooking the street. Excellent food. Liked the waiter, but he could have checked in more frequently.
Excellent food and service, as always. Noise level a bit high, but given the design of the restaurant, it is to be expected. We will continue to dine at this great restaurant.
Always a great meal & service!!
Celebrating an anniversary! Atmosphere and food were great
Sunday brunch was fantastic - from all the wonderful food, to the service, to the ambience (live music), to the view overlooking Market Street - we’ll definitely be back!
a little noisy for me but I have a bad ear. the drinks made it fine. Food and service was excellent
Very nice view from second floor
We have been here many times and always have had an excellent time. This last visit was no exception. Our server Alice was very professional and accommodating. Our orders were delivered to the table altogether and were correct. I had the bone in pork chop which was cooked perfectly along with the fava beans, scalloped potatoes, rhurbarb and charred broccoli rabe all in a savory prosciutto broth. The only
fault I had with my dish was that it was a bit on the salty side, this I attribute to the prosciutto broth. The Firestone is one of our favorite dining spots in Frederick.
It is definitely a place to try in Frederick! The food is good but the service that day seemed rushed. Overall a good place to eat. I will probably go again in a year or so. It is also close to everything down town. The environment is good and if you get to sit by the window upstairs te a treat. The interior has a nice design and has a pretty good bar. Food is a little pricey but it is good. I recommend getting the MD crab dip as en appetizer.
My husband had the grilled venison and I had soft shell crab--both dishes were heavenly!! We shared a dozen of awesome oysters from their raw bar which were also heavenly!
Great atmosphere, efficient service, got our order just right, perfect table with reservation. Seafood pasta is to die for- they also change their specials daily and print fresh menus so you don’t have to ask. In addition, prices on alcohol are very reasonable- while serving good quality drinks. I feel like sometimes restaurants overprice spirits and it’ not the case here. Will be back.
One of the best restaurants in downtown Frederick!
Good food and service, but they could use a vegetarian option.
The server and our table location really made the meal great. Fantastic pastrami! Delicious desserts! The Maryland Crab dip appetizer was delish!
Best food and service in Frederick! Never had a disappointing meal and have been going for 6 years.
Food was outstanding. However,, the air conditioning was so cold that my colleague said that it cooled off his steak before he could finish it!
Overall our experience was disappointing. We had reservations and still had to wait 30 min to be seated. The noise was excessively loud with patrons yelling. We sat upstairs and still had trouble hearing each other. The food was good but the excessive noise level and long wait ruined the evening. If I am going to spend $100 for two people to eat, I want to at least be able to hear my guest.
The food is amazing! Original, creative and delicious!! We went with out of town guests who raved about the meal and the excellent, attentive service.
Very good food, but the upper area can get very noisy if the bar area is hopping.
My daughter recommended Firestone for brunch after her graduation from Hood. It was a great location & had a nice atmosphere. I had a hard time choosing since several options looked good. We had crab dip & some drinks to start. Several of us picked breakfast items & the rest sandwiches. I had the cucumber salad as my side & it was amazing. Reminded me of my grandmothers recipe but better! Thanks for helping us to have a great celebration!
Firestone made it a great night for me. I had never been out to this part of Frederick before but I felt welcome upon taking my first steps in. Food was amazing, service was great. Would come back again in a heartbeat.
This is a very nice restaurant with great food, but it should be noted that the great majority of tables are located up a set of stairs, and without an elevator.
Food was mostly outstanding, though the chef recommended medium rare duck came out very rare and difficult to cut through. Lovely old building. Good staff and service. Noise level was uncomfortable.
Food and service is always outstanding. It’s my “go to” restaurant in downtown Frederick.
We've been celebrating family events with Firestone's for years. It's consistently delicious dishes and warm atmosphere make it a favorite spot in downtown Frederick.
I took my 90 year old Mom to Firestone’s for Mother’s Day. She loved it, ate her entire dinner, (which she never does in her continuing care facility) and even polished off most of her dessert! My appetizer (dinner for me), was equally delicious and we both enjoyed the service and the experience.
My go-to place in Frederick. Wonderful food—have enjoyed brunch, lunch, dinner and drinks! Love the interior. Roomy yet cozy. Good service. Would be my weekly go-to if I lived closer than a 30 min drive.
Service was A#1. Very upscale atmosphere and food quality at reasonable prices.
Overall a great place with good food and fine atmosphere especially if you sit upstairs. While my server did a pretty good job it did appear staff was running hard just to keep up. This makes things seem less than relaxing. 5 of 8 entrees were seafood.
Every part of the experience was great except for the very first impression, the hostess. I made a reservation for a window view, received confirmation and was told there isn't one available when we arrived. I stated that made the reservation for the window seat. We we're seated at a regular table. The worst was, there was a six seat table that my party of 3 could have sat at....at the window!!
Our server was playful, attentive and smiling. Food was better than I expected. I will be going back (I'm determined to get a window seat)!
Last minute decision to go to Firestone’s for my birthday-excellent, well paced service, seated us upstairs overlooking Market St., food was exceptional and they even let me choose any dessert on the house since it was a birthday celebration. Prices were higher than we had first expected but the quality of the meal and the excellent service made it very much worth while! Will definitely be back!
I had their new spicy tuna sandwich and it was amazing! Best sandwich I’ve ever had. The visit itself was as awesome as always, I love going for Sunday brunch and enjoying the jazz band they have. One of my favorite places hands down.
The food was outstanding as usual. Never a bad meal.
Haven’t been here in years since we moved away, but came back to enjoy dinner and then a show at Weinberg. Everything was wonderful! The ambiance, service, food...all were excellent! (My monk fish was one of the best meals I’ve had in years!) The only warning I would give to others is that it can get quite noisy. We didn’t mind it at all, but if you were looking for a quiet, romantic dinner, this may not be the place for you.
Definitely enjoyed ourselves here while we stopped for lunch during Fredrick' "First Saturday" gathering. Great location and parking is close by.
Always outstanding food and services. We go there about once a month and never had a bad experience
Reuben sandwich was an incomplete mock-up of the real thing. The bisque had no sherry or other fortified wine. Caesar salad was very good. Floor staff were understaffed.
Usually we are not disappointed, but found the food lacking or not enjoyable. I was very disappointed in almost all of the menu items from appetizers to entrees. The seafood soup was almost inedible, the crab dip had no flavor and way too much mayonnaise, my seafood fettuccine was just okay (the seafood was not fresh) and my husband's dish (hanger steak) was nothing special. The only light at the end of the tunnel was the bread pudding dessert we ordered.
The food was excellent, and there was a jazz combo downstairs to make our meal more enjoyable. The service was mostly great; the only criticism is that after giving us the check we had quite a wait to settle up
