Excellent as always!
Everything was amazing, our server was knowledgeable and helped us pick out great drinks and knew what was gluten friendly for me. The duck breast was just delicious, the other people at our table had the scallops and gnocchi and both said it’s the best they’ve ever had.
O.M.G.! Why have I not been here before. Almost everything about our visit was top-notch. The drink menu was great; not too big or small. Apps were tasty; escargot and meat/cheese board. I seriously couldn't decide what to eat as the dinner menu was packed with so many good-looking dishes. I settled on the sweet potato gnocchi; I have NO words for this. So delicious. The dessert menu was good, but my chocolate dish was ok. My wife had the apple "cobbler" with maple brown sugar ice cream and it was fantastic. Restaurant is a little on the noisy side, but the meal silenced most of that! Will definitely be going back; new favorite in town!
Wonderful as usual - food was great and service superb.
The crab dip was wonderful! It was a bit loud because of a jazz brunch, but that's to be a expected.
Very nice for a date but was busy. Waitress didn’t come by often and dessert was soso.
Great food and the service was excellent! Being able to sit next to the window on the second floor gave us an awesome view of downtown.
Everything we have tried has been amazing. The service is always on point. For the experience and quality of food, the price isn't bad at all. We will definitely be returning in the near future
Great for Sunday brunch with live music and delicious food & drinks!
love Firestone for Sunday brunch. One of my favorite place in town
Food was good, but there could have been more options. The service was great, but the noise level was too loud.
I wasn’t impressed with our meal, but they have had better food in the past. Great service.
This restaurant is wonderful. The service was amazing, we especially loved the gifts from the chef between courses. We enjoyed oysters on the half shell, delicious entrees and espresso martinis to finish our meal. The space is small but you don’t feel cramped. We had a corner of the restaurant on the top floor to ourselves so it felt very intimate even though the place was dull and bustling.
Great food, great service...always a good experience in there.
Good, unique food! Great bar with variety of gins. Fantastic server and great window view.
My 14 year old son wanted to go for his birthday lunch. My wife son and I have been here several times over the last few years. As always everything was outstanding! Our server Alice was awesome! The food was superb. Love this place, wish I lived closer!
The steak and eggs here is kind of a joke. It is more Egg, and Potato’s with a few small pieces of steak. The quantity of steak that comes with this order says 4oz, but that is pushing it.
When my plate came out, the eggs and potato’s actually covered the steak, that’s how small the portion of meat was. Not worth the money by any means; especially when you can go to a bunch of other local places and have a higher quality cut of meat, more volume and the same cost.
We had a great meal here and it is in a great location. Love the decor of the space. We had a special request to be seated downstairs and it was easily accomodated. Service was excellent and the food was very good.
Four stars is really good from me - 5 stars only bestest meals I’ve ever had during my 46 winters on this planet. Firestone’s is a great place regardless. Diverse brunch menu with tasty twists on traditional American fare. Loved avocado toast and truffle fries for apps. Wife loved burger, son indulged on eggs benedict, and I really liked spicy tuna sandwich. Restaurant spacious, modern, and spotless. Service was outstanding. Will be back soon.
A friend of mine recommended Firestone's. I was not disappointed. Food was delicious!
This place does everything right, we loved our experience and will recommend to friends. Our waiter Chris has that unique timing to be there at the right time for every need.
It was a very nice experience and outstanding dinner.
Fabulous as always. Members of our party had the Scallops, Icelandic Cod an Venison. All were delicous. Excellent attentive service and great atmosphere!! Our FAVORITE in FREDERICK. We will miss Firestones when we move to FL at the end of the year
Staff exceptionally good. Food good. But, eggs benedict muffin not properly toasted. This is a big deal. It's the foundation of the choice.
Choose upstairs seating. Ambiance is much better. Food was good, as was the service.
Lucky enough to draw a window table. The food was delicious and the service by Kelly was outstanding
Food and staff were incredible and very personable.
Wonderful restaurant but noise level from the bar can be overwhelming, by not controlling the noise at the bar makes this fine dining restaurant at time less than desirable.
We did not oder alcohol tonight and I believe this is why we were ignored. It took 90min to receive our dinner.
Pleasant brunch spot !
I took family here to dinner one evening and we tried an asirtbebt if raw appetizers (oysters, tuna, hurrays, and ceviche), cooked foods (flatbread, pastrami sandwich, burger, and steak salad), and a few cocktails too. All 6 of us were pleasantly surprised by how delicious everything was! The pastrami sandwich was by far my favorite, and I never eat pastrami, but WOW. We saw how highly rated/reviewed it was, which is why we tried it. I will definitely be going back here!
My husband and I went there for our 12 year wedding anniversary. We indicated it would be our anniversary and were very pleased when we found our reservation was on the upper level right next to the window. Although there were diners around us, we could easily converse while we people-watched on the street. The food was great -- I had shrimp and grits, but the grits were chicken-fried (creamy cheesy grits on the inside), but battered and deep fried when frozen so they have that yummy flaky coating from the outside of a fried chicken. There were lots of little in-between course single bits to add variety and surprise to the meal. And, they provided a free dessert to celebrate our anniversary. We like to try out lots of places and this was good value for the money in our experience.
Really great service. A super-friendly atmosphere. Creative menu.
We were promptly seated at the table of our choice and my drink arrived soon afterwards. it was just ok; a bloody mary with way too much black pepper. The crab dip ordered for the table was ok too. Perhaps the menu, or our very attentive wait person should have told us it is only enough for two, not four people. And I did say "crab dip for the table". The entrees were fine, with the exception of a salad that was ala carte. The greens were dripping with a sour house dressing that rendered them inedible. Last, although my friends ice tea, and our water was refilled many times, my coffee was not refilled even once. The size of the cup was stingy, not more than five ounces. No one wanted dessert. The restaurant needs more vegetarian options, maybe a soup? And for heaven sake, somebody clean the globes on the light fixtures!!
We were celebrating my birthday. We shared the Fried Green Tomato appetizer, excellent. My son-in-law and I had the crab cake and a regular side of fries. My daughter had the shrimp and grits and the siracha fries. And we had the corn ice cream!!! It was all excellent! Service was also excellent. Definitely will go again, soon!!! Thank you, Firestone's for a lovely evening!
We were a family group of 5. We started with crab dip for the table, then ordered a variety of entree’s. The entree’s were a bit slow in coming, but we were in no hurry and it was First Saturday in Frederick, and the restaurant was full. So we made allowances. I ordered scallops, which turned out to be a generous serving and cooked just right. We’ve dined at Firestone’s before and love the food and the little extra’s from the chef. If you want quiet dining, Firestones on a Saturday evening may not be your place. But we love the food, the service, and the lively atmosphere.
We had a wonderful dinner with friends. Great location and wonderful service. The food was well prepared and presented really well. We had 6 different dishes and everyone liked them. The steak dishes were cooked perfectly and tender. The scallops were so large and seasoned well. The mushroom risotto was yummy! We were also treated to a cauliflower bisque and we all enjoyed the fruit and cheese plate. Desserts were good but not great. Sorbet was incredible chocolate cake and creme brulee were well done but the smores dessert was too much nutella soup and not enough crunch, mixed more Graham cracker butt the homemade marshmallow was so good but so sweet. Fun night but at 7 30 to 9 was very very loud. 9 to 10 30 less loud but still hard to hear across the table.
I think I expected a little more but overall it was a nice experience. Was in the city for a couple a days so glad I went.
Great food, bar was too loud.
