    Raw oysters were bland; tasted like they’d been rinsed off with water, none of the salty brine you should taste from a freshly opened oyster. Main dishes arrived barely warm. Grilled chicken breast was charred, tasteless and bone dry - no seasoning at all. Overall the food was subpar, considering the prices - we expected excellent culinary experience. Service was good.

    Just one of the most fun brunches of all time. Food was over the top with many choices that included healthish for me and comfort food for the rest of the table. Server was so pleasant, upbeat and knowledgeable about the beverages and details on the menu. Too much fun. We're coming back.

    We eat here fairly often. The food is always good. Noise level last night was extremely high and made it very difficult to talk. Also, as compared to previous visits, the servers seemed stretched thin and somewhat disinterested.

    It was such a great experience! Our waiter was awesome and on top if everything! I would mention the french onion was a bit too sweet.

    We love Firestone's! The food is excellent as is the service. The wine list needs improvement though. The wines by the glass are not that great and there is only one Chardonnay, which is not oaked. Otherwise, great!

    Firestone’s has been a consistently good restaurant through many years. Even though, it has a large bar downstairs the restaurant food can be as gourmet as they come. We always have oysters, or a fancy cocktail followed by a great dinner. Last night I had the Brandi I and spring strawberry salad. It was all prepared to perfection and a great portion size. The flavors were on point and our server was tops. We even asked for organic wine and after some searching: they brought out 3 bottles. I hope they will grow their organic wine selection in the future. But all said, it was a terrific night. Keep it up Firestone’s. By the way, my husband had made a reservation at T and R and when we looked at their menu, their tiny tables and overpriced food, we decided to leave. That restaurant’s portions are tiny and their menu although they consider themselves “gourmet” leaves you feeling cheated. Firestone’s is always a great experience.

    We enjoyed our Sunday brunch. The food and service was wonderful. The only issue is that my sister was served cheese in her veggie sandwich after discussing her vegan diet prior to ordering. She accidentally ate cheese thinking it was a yellow tomato and made her sick that evening. Accidents happen and we enjoyed the meal, but this was not an ideal situation for her.

    A friend came down to share Sunday brunch with me. As always, the food was fantastic and the service was friendly and attentive. Never been disappointed with Firestone’s!!

    Our meal was fresh and tasty, our waiter attentive but not "too much" and the view from the upstairs balcony onto the street was enjoyable on a beautiful spring day.

    Good food and even better service! I am sorry I didn't get our server's name, but he was very attentive. We really enjoyed the crab dip appetizer, burger and pastrami sandwich. Would definitely return the next time we are in Frederick.

    Sunday brunch menu has many tasty options and generous portions. They have reinvented hash using their sumptuous house-made pastrami, sauteed veggies and crispy hash browns as a base for poached eggs and bernaise sauce. I do wish they would bring back live music for Sunday brunch, though I understand why having the space for an additional larger table appeals to management.

    Firestone is a beautiful spot! Excellent food is the highlight for me. My wife and I had a wonderful dining experience. I ate appetizers for a meal, pork belly, crab dip, and baked onion soup. The soup was one of the best I've ever had, the crab dip was on point, and the pork belly was cooked to perfection. My wife said her pork chop was terrific and could only 2/3's of her meal because the portions are generous. The place is lively and loud but not rowdy. It made for an enjoyable date night for us!

    Made a reservation well in advance and in the comments section asked for a table upstairs by the window. Our table for 4 was perfect. I had the mussels and they were GREAT. The sauce was very rich and very good. Others had the chicken sandwich, shrimp po boy and seared tuna sandwich. Everyone was very satisfied. Ambiance there is wonderful, as was the service.

    The server was helpful but not knowledgeable of the food served. Issues with the cooked food were parts undercooked raw meat. Oysters felt like eating glass shell shards.

    I took my mom here for an early Mother’s Day dinner. When I made my reservation, I noted that I would like to have a table by the window. I know these type of things can’t always be accommodated, so I knew there was a chance it wouldn’t happen. When we got to the restaurant, they had one table by the window available. They offered us a different table and I asked if we could take the one by the window instead. They informed me that a friend of the owners was coming in and it had been set aside for the friend of the owner. I wanted to walk out but I didn’t wanna sour the dinner for my mom. I will never return to Firestone’s until I am friends with the owner. :)

    Our family went for restaurant week and we all loved our meals. Portions were big and severs were attentive. It was noisy but also happy hour and March Madness in the bar area.

    Excellent value for restaurant week. Appetizers were out of this world. Chocolate dessert was too heavy - just a brick of chocolate ganache. Service was spot on. Overall good experience.

    As always, wonderful people, great food, and nice surroundings overlooking Frederick's main downtown street. Excellent oysters and other starters, wide selection of entrees, and a very thoughtful wine list. We continue to eat at Firestone's at least every week or two...

    The main course was way over priced for what we got... the huge pork chop. Also the brussels sprouts were just about raw and not much to anything else at the meal. Service was very good.

    We arrived a little early for our reservations and were seated quickly. We started with martinis and each ordered a bowl of the onion soup that went very well with the complimentary bread and butter followed by a complimentary tasting of gazpacho soup. Our meal consisted of two dozen fresh oysters. We finished the meal by splitting the bread pudding. The food is consistently 5 star and so is the service!

    We have been to Firestones about once a year since 2014. Every time the food was wonderful. Our last experience was a huge disappointment. The server was awesome and comped our one dinner, but the food itself was extremely expensive and poor quality. We like quality over quantity always, but this had neither. My 34 dollar crab cake dinner was one 3 inch crab cake with maybe 4 tiny pieces of crab and the rest was some kind of scallop mousse filler? Wow..never never h Ave I experience this. Also the dish had half of a handful of bok choy and 1 T of butternut squash purée. Again, the server was awesome! But the food was not.
