Firestone Public House
We enjoyed the Firestone PH before the PINK concert. It was wonderful. I highly recommend the pizzas. The service was excellent and they accommodated us by allowing us to add 2 persons to our table and seat us outside. They have heaters outside which was perfect when the wind picked up. The friendly, welcoming atmosphere was perfect.
Food and service was great. My breakfast potatoes were cold, but the rest of my meal was warm enough.
Very attentive waitress. Table ready right at time of reservation. No waiting.
We made a reservation for 6 pm (Happy Hour ends at 6) and the waitress gave us the happy hour menu, so our server honored. Half price on many menu items and libations. Great service, food and just 2 blocks from the Community Center theatre. Perfect!
Firestone has a good Happy Hour menu and is a fun and lively place. My group had dinner off of the Happy Hour menu (pizzas, natcho tots) and all found the food and drinks excellent. My 3 stars for the service was not due to the quality of our server (he was very pleasant and as attentive as he could manage to be); rather, it was because the place was seriously understaffed for as busy as Firestone was that night. Food was slow getting out, and the few servers who were there were running themselves ragged trying to take care of customers. More staff was needed to keep up. But I would definitely go back.
Not bad! Good food, good time. Can be a bit loud. Would go back
Happy hour specials are amazing! Everything was delicious! We had the giant pretZel, fish and chips appetizer(which is the size of a meal), a pizza and 2 cocktails all for $35
Best happy hour in town
Great atmosphere if you like a sports bar theme. Food was delicious.
This was our first visit and it did not disappoint. The service at the booth was great and the food was so good. Big size portions as well. The bartender was a bit rude when we tried to order some food to go on our way out, but overall everyone else was very friendly. We will come back.
Hostess was very rude and tried to ignore me twice by trying to help the larger party who arrived after me. I interrupted and on the third time was finally acknowledged and assisted while standing directly in front of her at the hostess counter. The wait staff and MOD were great as was the food.
Amazing food, and well made drinks. Great vibe and great time all around
I would recommend this place to my friends. It’s a great place to go out and have a few drinks.
The decor in here is all hard, flat surfaces. This means that if there are more than a few people present, it's deafeningly loud. The food is not bad, and the service is okay but overall it's like trying to enjoy your food on the runway at O'Hare while airplanes are taxiing around you and taking off nearby. Bring earplugs, maybe?
We were treated very well by the staff who accommodated our large group on very short notice. Kaley - hope I have spelled her name correctly - took very good care of us.
Really great place. I’d absolutely come back but next time I’ll skip the avocado egg rolls. They weren’t bad, just not a whole lot of flavor. My steak salad, on the other hand, was perfect. Really tasty and plenty of it. They did my steak a perfect medium rare. As for people, there’s a nice mix of young and old in there with all kinds of sports on the many TVs. Loud enough to be interesting but quiet enough to have a conversation at your table. Totally recommend!
We went twice in three days because the menu was so extensive we didn’t want to choose only one thing! Although my husband had the ribeye sandwich both times- so delicious. Fun place, reasonably priced for way better than average food, and a good beer and wine list. Will definitely be back.
Service was good. Food was uneven. I had the tomato bisque, which was quite acidic and stewed tomato-ey tasting, but nicely seasoned. I also had the Reuben, which was good, but the bread was very dry.
Fish and chips and the sliders were great! The tomato matzo soup not so much. Tasted more like pizza sauce. The spicy edamame was over the top spicy too so beware!
Service was quick and efficient while allowing us time to chat without being burdened.
We went to Firestone Public House on Sunday night last weekend. The volume on the speakers attached to a football game were so loud, I couldn't converse with my guest sitting across from me. The food was good, but nothing special. Prices were typical for the area. Service was good.
Great food, great beer, great fun!
This is the loudest place I have ever eaten in. The food was good, but it was so difficult to have a conversation with my family (who was visiting out of town). This was Sunday football time, so almost everyone in this place was drunk and watching the game. The actual game was quieter than the commercials. I asked the server if the volume could be turned down, and she said she would "ask." I would sit outside if I returned or go to the Irish place next door.
The food is EXCELLENT! The selections appeal to anyone, pretty much. My personal choice is the amazing grilled cheese with candied bacon and REAL tomatoes that taste like home-grown! I took the dessert nachos to go, and they were packaged beautifully and tasted great! My water glass was kept full through the meal, and I am a heavy water drinker!
A nice place for beer and food. Very good menu items at reasonable prices, especially for Happy Hours!
On our way to music circus theatre
Great food and portions. Great service.
We went here before Music Circus on a Thursday evening. I am so glad we made a reservation; the place was packed. Excellent menu selections. Terrific service. Just a bit too loud to hold a conversation.
A group of four of us went to dinner before a concert at the Golden 1 Center. This is the 4th time we've been and each time the food is amazing and the service is fantastic. Do yourself a favor and try something new each time so you can find your new favorite dish! Highly recommenced and we will be back for sure.
Our waiter took our order and we never saw him again until it was time to give us the check. We had to signal other waiters to help us. The other waiter was helpful as well as the manager.
•This is the place to go to watch ‘the big game’. Any game.
•Caters to the under 30 Crowd. •Multiple televisions on at all times.
Televisions face almost every angle.
•Not a place for quiet conversation. Or any conversation.
•Good for dates/celebrations when you want to be loud and have fun and maybe drink a little too much, but still be safe.
•Come as you are attire more than acceptable.
Food was good and the service was only alright because there was a World Cup game on that day and it was quite packed. They were blasting the TVs and of course people were yelling and the walls and floors are all ahead surfaces so it resulted in a sound blast. It was needless to say, festive. Probably can get that loud later at night when the bar is active.
The service was friendly and quick!
Firestone is always a good choice when looking for a fun reliable place downtown. The fare is elevated bar food and is always excellent! Good selection of cocktails and excellent beer choices. The pretzel is a must! Service is always courteous and prompt. The few times I have experienced any small issues they are always dealt with quickly. This is a very well run restaurant.
Turkey Cobb salad was excellent. Noise level was incredible. Unable to carry on a conversation. Great location if you want to watch sports on TVs, but not so good otherwise.
Very nice atmosphere, delicious food and good service. We sat outside and enjoyed our dining experience.
Came to Firestone ahead of going to the theater and were pleased with the Ahi burger and soft shell crab tacos. Yummy!!
First time here. Food was not worth returning, very greasy, hard bar food. Our server was friendly and efficient. Even at lunch the noise is beyond being able to carry on a conversation without yelling across the table. This was definitely not my type of restaurant.
Everything was perfect!
