About Fireside Dining (Deer Valley Resort)
Join us for local favorites from the European Alps. Fireside Dining at Empire Canyon Lodge features four courses served from our five stone fireplaces. Enjoy warm Swiss raclette cheese, cured meats, salads, specialty entrees, hearty sides, fire-roasted leg of lamb, fresh baked breads and dessert fondues. A full bar is available, as well as specially selected wines and imported beer to complement our cuisine. Horse-drawn sleigh rides are available for hire or consider an adventurous trek before dinner on snowshoes.

My wife and I visit Empire Canyon Lodge every year for her birthday or Valentine's. We absolutely love the experience after being introduced to it years ago through a company party. The food is outstanding, the service is great, and the overall ambience is fantastic. Nothing like sitting by a fire when it's snowy outside enjoying a great meal with a significant other. The cheese fire is the best part. We go back multiple times. The veal and potatoes is also a favorite.
Special Birthday for my wife. Asked the manager for a certain waiter and table 6 weeks ago and request was not followed through on. We eat at Fireside multiply times a year and this time was very noisy, cramped tables, which was not a special evening for my wife's big birthday.
Not up to usual standard for Fireside. First time I booked in Open Table will go back to booking through resort.
Very disappointing from service to food. Had mold in their strawberries, that is supposedly inspected individually before placed in bowl at fondue station. Ordered cocktail, after that wait staff never returned to ask if we wanted anything else to drink. Food was disappointing. Not what we expected. Had heard good things, however, did not live up to what we had heard.
This was our second time dining at Fireside Dining at Deer Valley Resort and we enjoyed it just as much as the first time. The selection of offerings met everyone's criteria and the raclette bar/ dessert fondue bar were particularly memorable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We plan to return the next time we are in the area.
The atmosphere was makeshift...it's used for skiers coming off the slopes during the day and the restaurant is then set up for dinner at night. It was very noisy with a lot of children. The food was very mediocre at best, but way over priced. I could not even finish my plate without a server grabbing my plate...this happened twice. My family and I ate out at very nice restaurants every night during our stay at Deer Valley and Fireside Dining was the only disappointment. Unless you have a bunch of young kids or you like to eat a lot of mediocre food at one time...don't go. I was fooled by the reviews.
Fireside dinning at Deer Valley has become part of our family tradition for our family ski vacation to Park City. The 5 fire places with various food cooking provide an exciting adventure in authentic european n dinning. At each of our visitis in the past five years the menue has been different with each sellection being extremely flavorful and well prepared. The restaurant also has a varied and excellen wine selecttion.
Phenomenal food. I have been here many times, and I have never been disappointed. The raclette cheese starter is totally unique for any restaurant I have been to, and all the food is cooked over an open fireplace which really adds to the meal (it is also delicious). I would recommend this place to anyone.
Cozy fireside ambiance. Highlight was the raclette and chocolate fondue. Make sure to get a HOT plate of the warned cheese fondue or its just a blob of warm cheese. The stew was tasty but warm in temperature. I think that all of the food at the various stations woukd have been better if they were hot. Warm food wasn't expected given the best emanating from the hot fireplace stations. Chocolate station was tasty and had a wonderful assortment of dipping items. Overall it's a nice idea. Execution (ie hot food) was a bit underwhelming considering the cost and hype.
We were in park city for a snow vacation and this was our first restaurant reservation. It was such a different and interesting experience. Food was cooked our station at various fireplaces. The meal was expensive but all members of the party thought it was a worth while experience.
The service was great, and the concept was really fun. Honestly, I was quite disappointed in the food. I would expect better from Deer Valley. Some of the dishes were reasonably well done, but nothing was exceptional. After every course, we kept asking each other what our favorite dish was so far. And really, nothing stood out. Also, it was extremely meat heavy. I would like to see at least one or two more vegetable dishes.
We always eat at Fireside while attending the Sundance Film Festival. The food and service are always exceptional. When we arrived this time, we were seated right in front of one of the fireplaces. The ambiance was incredible, but so was the heat. The manager came over and moved our table to an open area farther back. He then checked with us several times to make sure the new location was acceptable and also comped our corkage fee.
