Firenze Ristorante Italiano Ratings and Reviews
We love Firenze, and have been going since they opened so many years ago. The atmosphere is hushed, but the aromas coming from the kitchen are so tempting. Plan on taking your time, sip some wine, enjoy your company and the person(s) you are with. This about savoring the experience, not a dine and dash meal. FETTUCINE AL SALMONE is my absolute favorite. Enough for dinner, and lunch the next day!
WE have been patrons of this restaurant for nearly 5 yearsusing the passport card. But things have REALLY changed with their pricing!!! Although the Passport website states one free entree ( we had ordered a $45 steak, and a $29 seafood dish), they only deducted $22 off the total (on top of addubg the 18% gratuity). They also charged us $4 extra to spilt the steak with a child! On top of this we ordered a $35 wine, $7 salad and a dessert. They also charged us $5 for the bread. The pasta dish was not of the same caliber as other times, and my husband stated "it's not the same, they must have a new chef", stating it was not nearly as tasty as in the past. We will not come back....too many additional fees and not adhering to the Passport unlimited website discounts. WE are really disappointed!!!
My first experience with the restaurant years ago was great. The food was delicious. In fact I was so impressed I brought my employees to it. The experience last week was disappointing in terms of the food. The environment was good as always. My husband's food was so salty he struggled to eat it. It was his birthday so this made double disappointing. My mom's food was over cooked. My daughter hardly eat her food as well, although I can't remember the reason, I think it might have been over salted as well.
In a neighborhood shopping area...not scenic. The place is intimate and great outdoor dining on a warm evening. We had a pasta dish and a prime rib and both were exceptional. I will definitely go again.
Owner, an Italian national, was on the premises overseeing everything and was making sure everyone was 100% satisfied. We were!
We chose to go to Firenze to celebrate my husbands' birthday with our daughter and her honey. The food was really very good and the service ( Tyler was our waiter) was terrific.
We had not been there for many years and were surprised at how few patrons there were for a Saturday night.
I would definitely recommend this restaurant.
This restaurant used to be one of our favorites, and one that we would gladly recommend to friends. After our experience on Friday...horribly slow and neglectful service, and disappointing food (taste and portions)...we will never return. Service was so poor that we decided we would be better off getting our dessert from the QFC bakery. Top it off, they automatically added an insulting 20% tip to our bill. Did the old owner leave?
This was my first visit to Firenze Restaurant, but it won't be my last. They have an excellent wine list which is currently being updated and a variety of delicious entrees and small plates to satisfy every palate. I started with a carpaccio where the filet was sliced almost thin enough to see through... perfect!! This was followed by an excellent Gamberi Alla Diavola... with just the perfect level of spice and taste. I highly recommend this restaurant!
We brought a friend from Illinois who travels and eats out world wide. He loved it as we have for years and commented how nice it was to go somewhere so delightful and neighborhood like. The service and food are consistently delicious and we love the quaintness of it's neighborhood atmosphere.
We have been coming here for 25 years. It is fabulous, the food is exceptionally good, the service is excellent. A great spot for any occasion. This time it was for Mothers Day, and our family loved it! Give yourself a treat and try it. Full bar, great wine list, what's not to like?
We were looking for a reasonably priced, nice restaurant to take my mom and dad to for dinner. With our kids 5* is usually wasted so we wanted someplace that would also be family friendly.
Waiter was friendly and the service was good. Owner Salvatore and his wife came by to introduce themselves. Food was good to very good. It was a nice meal overall, with great wine, well mixed cocktails and overall a great experience.
For the price I would say that the value was outstanding. At $432 including tip and tax for 7 people, including wine seemed very reasonable for the type of food we were served. We are foodies at eat at Michelin rated restaurants regularly. While this restaurant isn't exactly in the same league it is excellent for what you pay for.
Fantastic & flavorful pastas. We tried for different dishes and they were all very tasty with satisfying portions. Salvatore (the owner) was very gracious and friendly as he visited with us and other customers. He Made the experience extra special. Must try wines from his property in Florence.
We initially booked this restaurant due to Seattle Restaurant week and thought we would try a new place. When we arrived to a "strip mall" location we were a bit nervous. However, when you enter, you feel like you are in a little slice of Italy with paint colors etc. When looking at the full menu - we all decided to order from it instead of trying Restaurant menu. Everyone really enjoyed their meal. I'm a bit new to posting reviews so did not give it 5 stars due to our wine selection - which really is our responsibility. It was not very good. We did ask for advice and were not steered towards a different bottle. Other than that- great night, great food with great friends.
We arrived on time for our reservation (6:30pm) and had to wait about 20 minutes to be seated. There were two rooms. A front room with table cloths and nice ambience and a back room with fairly crude seating. We were seated in the back room. The server was lovely. They were already out of two of the items we ordered - which we didn't find out until after we got our appetizers. The food was fine. Very tasty. The wine list was good for bottles but it was very limited for wine by the glass. Plus the by-the-glass wine prices were much too expensive for the wines.
This restaurant is in the Crossroads shopping center, and Google Maps does not give precise directions. I had to call to find out then (they are near the theaters.)
I ordered a rather simple meal of salad and pasta. It was delicious. The salad was fresh with just the right amount of dressing. My pasta was a perfect al dente. They have a nice wine list with many reasonably-priced options, and we were very happy with our server's suggestion. Firenze is on my favorite go-to list of restaurants. It is suitable for an everyday mean as well as taking business colleagues.
This is a great restaurant but either open table or the restaurant failed to make the reservation properly and a bunch of people showed up with no reservation on the restaurant books and no tables available. Fortunately the owner worked hard to get us seated in about 20 minutes. Fortunately the food and service is excellent but it makes me wonder if the open table reservation system works all the time.
We made reservations for Saturday night thinking it would be less hectic than Sunday. Place was packed and walk-ins got the good tables while reservations were put at whatever was leftover. We had a terrible/awkward table. Food was perfect, but too slow in coming. We will eat here again, just not on a big holiday.
Lovely Italian atmosphere. Don't let the location fool you! Everything was delicious! Appetizers, Gorgonzola Chicken was cooked to perfection, the shrimp special was amazing, the Gnocchi was a more like a side dish portion but very tasty. the wine was a tad expensive but really complimented our meal perfectly. We finished with tiramisu, the lemon cake and espressos. A wonderful evening was had by all.
We chose Firenze to celebrate one of our friends visiting from NYC. Oh boy, everything was spectacular. If you don't want traditional Italian ambiance, food and service don't go there because in Firenze you feel like you are in Italy. The food is authentic and the wine list is fantastic. We ordered a ton of stuff and shared. Everything was YUMMY! Our server, Carlos, was phenomenal. He really took great care of us and made us feel at home. The place is very cozy and the romantic ambiance makes it perfect. I am definitely going back there for a date night :) Don't think twice, this place won't disappoint.
The food was good and the service was good. They give us the wrong wine than what was ordered. I order a red wine and got a pink blush. Also was given a lunch menu and when I am ready to order the server away the menu and given me the dinner menu. Very unprofessional and a little bite disorganized.
We had a birthday celebration on a Saturday evening for a party of 12. The restaurant looked to be at or near capacity including a group using the party room. The kitchen had a problem with uneven portions, one adult carbonara looked like it was divided in half, like the kitchen forgot to cook the child's portion and took one order and divided it. The waitperson admitted seeing this discrepancy only after it was pointed out. The kitchen did make a little more but we noticed the egg was coagulated in the carbonara sauce like it was stirred in at too high a temperature. The manager (owner?) looked very harried and I felt embarrassed witnessing him raising his voice to an employee about setting up some tables. Go on a quiet night as I feel the overall quality suffers when the restaurant is too busy. In all fairness, we have been there for lunch when the overall experience was much more relaxed and positive.
Quaint little restaurant located in a strip mall; but don't let that stop you from going. The food is quite delicious! My husband had one of their specials, risotto with wild mushrooms, which was incredibly good. The risotto was creamy and the mushrooms added a wonderful earthy flavor. I opted for the Rigatoni All Amatriciana which was very flavorful. They offer up fresh bread with olive oil, but they don't automatically give you balsamic vinegar which I noticed several tables asked for. They have an extensive wine list. I had the owner's Sangovesie from his vineyard in Italy. It was okay at best. I would have preferred by husband's Cabernet Sauvignon from Dusted Valley Boomtown. We were too full to enjoy any dessert but it would have been nice to have a cup a coffee; something never offered by our waitress. I would go back to this restaurant in a heartbeat provided two things happen. (1) We don't get the same waitress. She was lackluster at best and was partially the reason for a lower rating. (2) If you need to take a cab and are unfamiliar with where the restaurant is; call first to get the restaurant's specific location. Our cab going to the restaurant didn't know where it was other than at the mall so we spent several minutes driving around racking up the bill. Then we asked the waitress to call us a cab; which after 30 minutes of waiting, never came and I had to call another one.
There is nothing awful about this place, but it's not very special either. We went for the Seattle Restaurant Week $30-fixed price on a Sunday evening. My Rigatoni with ham was pretty good; my wife's chicken with marinara sauce was forgettable. The deserts appeared to have been store bought. The wait staff seemed to be in a hurry. Our second courses arrived while we were still eating the first courses.
It's a bit pretentious to call this a "ristorante." Trattoria is more like.
I visited Firenze Ristorante for the first time, and was pleased with the food and the service. I was meeting with a business partner, and we were able to conduct our business without interruption. The noise level allowed for conversation, and the service was attentive without being intrusive. I will return when I'm in the area again.
My friend and I had an excellent meal. The menu was varied, and there were a number of evening specials. We both started with the Insalata Mista, which was a lovely blend of very fresh ingrediants. I ordered Frutti di Mare in a red sauce, and it was as good as any of the best I've had in Italy. The flavors were well-balanced, and the seafood fresh and perfectly cooked. My friend, who is vegetarian, ordered a Fettuccine al Pesto, and said it was excellent. We both cleaned our plates! The staff was friendly and attentive. The restaurant is somewhat casual, but I would not hesitate to go there with business associates. It is in a shopping center, so a little difficult to find, but parking is plentiful. I highly recommend Firenze Ristorante for excellent Italian food and great service.
Firenze has good food but the price is to the expensive side. Pasta dishes are reasonable but meat or fish is expensive for lunch. The pasta sauce is always very good. Bread is hearty.
The ambience is ok. It is relatively quiet and is a great place for business lunch.
