Firenze Ristorante Italiano Ratings and Reviews
We didn't know what to expect, but were more than pleasantly surprised by this little restaurant. There were a few too many tables for the space, so some noise, but overall the ambience was nice, and they had a very good wine list.
The food lived up to their claims and my spaghetti was authentic Italian. My husband couldn't stop eating his veal piccata. It was tender and very tasty. We'll be back soon.
When our party of 15 arrived for dinner they said they did not have a reservation for us. We showed them the reservation confirmation so they accommodated us. They asked if we used Open Table and we confirmed that we did. The meal was wonderful but the fact that they weren't expecting our large part was disheartening. They quickly shuffled a bunch of tables together and weren't able to put us in their private room because the air conditioner was broken.
This is my absolute favorite Italian restaurant in Bellevue. They make some truly authentic and very delicious food. Their specials change frequently but they are always quite tasty. The restaurant is small so if you want to eat there on a Friday or Saturday you should make a reservation. They are so popular that they book up quickly.
Typical family style Italian restaurant. Friendly and professional. The food was good, a bit too much garlic for us, but tasty. The side salad was very expensive for tired lettuce with nothing on it. Our group had the Mista and Cesare salads. Our waiter was very attentive but forgot a couple of details such as spoons for our coffee and brought diner size forks for our deserts. The Chocolate Tartuffo was wonderful! Excellent wine list! Overall a good experience, and good food.
Really enjoyed the food, especially the antipasto and calimari pea soup appetizers. So delicious and unexpected. The entree tortellini was good also. I love their home made bread with olive oil, awesome!
We had lunch and the restaurant was empty except for one family with a small child, a bit noisy but not a problem.
The service was excellent, fast and courteous.
Firenze personnel say that they no longer are a part of Open Table. They did not have any record of our reservation, made well in advance, for 7 people for a significant occasion. Despite this, they immediately made a table for our party, gave great service, and we had fabulous food and wine! Please get them back on Open Table, or delete them, so others don't make reservations that aren't received by them.
The main course was outstanding but the calamari was short a few calamari now. Will not order that again at that price $12?
Had to send the bread back because it was stale. The waiter told us that "real Italian bread is hard" What a condescending comment to a couple of world travelers. I should not have left the 20% tip, but he did bring new fresh bread. We like this place, but hope quality and value do not decline more.
We had a party of 6 and when the bill came they had added gratuity of 22%! A party of 6 doesn't seem large enough to automatically add gratuity and on top of that 22% is ridiculous. We have eaten here on several occasions but this made our entire group rethink going again.
Ordered a specific bottle of wine. When the opened wine bottle arrived and poured, it was not what was ordered.
When asking the waiter about this, he replied "Oh, we do not have that one. This one is just like it." ????.
Service is extremely slow, food is good. Don't order the quail, you will starve.
You really eat better in Firenze (citta) than this restaurant. Good appetizers. Main courses served with mashed potatoes suggests Americanization and quail dish was unimaginative and under spiced. Service good but slow. I might return when the chef gets back from vacation. Did not have an Itlian feel to it.
The place isn't pretty but the food was good the last few times I was there. I usually have have the clams linguini which is a signature dish and has always been excellent. This time it had just a few clams and the pasta was dry and very over pepperd. My friend had the snapper which was covered in a red sauce and not very good. They may have changed chefs.
We have been coming here since they opened over 20 years ago and although we have not been there for a number of years this visit proved that they have not missed a beat. Delicious pasta and seafood greeted us during this visit and their New York heritage showed through. A great experience.
