I dine regularly at the downstairs at Parisi's. It is always outstanding with great service. For some reason this restaurant is not listed in the top one or two in denver, however in this Italians opinion it is the best and most authentic. Love it always.
Love this place every time. The staff are also delightful!
One of those great basement hide away places. Intimate dining, excellent service. Food was terrific for restaurant week.
Delicious food and excellent service, we'll come again!
Been wanting to go to this restaurant for a long time. We went during Restaurant Week, it was great but I think k sometimes you don't get the full feel of Restauranr during this time. Food was great service great, but crudites seemed like pulled out of bottom of my fridge. I will go back for sure.
Great meal and excellent service in this local find! Enjoyed it for the 1st time during Restaurant Week! Plan to go back.
The ribollito was very tasty and warming, excellent. The pappardelle with beef "tenderloin" was tasty and the noodles' texture was sublime, although it wasn't tenderloin. The server was very good. The only distraction was the terrible panna cotta - way, way too much gelatin!! It should be "barely set" and creamy, not a rubber ball! Go for the food, skip the dessert.
We went for restaurant week and thoroughly enjoyed our meal. We've found you have to look at the menus unless you want a plate full of kale and beets. The menu here was varied and everything we tried was first rate. Great food and service.
We had been wanting to try this place for a while and Denver Restaurant week was the perfect reason. Everything was amazing. The service, the food, and the atmosphere. Despite being a busy night the waiter allowed (almost encouraged) us to take our time and enjoy each course. The food was hearty with the most amazing yet simple flavors. We will be back!
Authentic Italian food and atmosphere with excellent service
We had such a lovely time here for Denver Restaurant Week. The menu they offered was hard to pick and choose because everything looked so delicious. We started with the barrata and beet raviolis, moved onto the papparadelle and filet. Everything was perfectly cooked and plated. The service was equally as excellent! The server was attentive and stopped by just enough to make sure that we were happy and enjoying ourselves. It was a nice and intimate restaurant. I'd highly suggest for a date or a place to catch up with friends/family!
Waiter was great, very friendly, informative, took great care of us! Food was amazing, Denver Restaurant Week is a fun time to try new things.
My girlfriend and I enjoyed dinner here as part of Restaurant Week. The restaurant is located in a basement somewhat styled after a wine cellar. The seating is well-spaced, and I never felt crowded nor subject to excessive noise.
Our waiter was an Italian gentleman with a thick accent. Perfect. The service was prompt and hospitable throughout the evening. We received gratis bread and oil, as well as dipping vegetables with oil and salt. Our wine and cocktails were delicious and a good value.
The food itself demonstrated mastery of the rudiments with some fun twists, but was not particularly groundbreaking. The courses were mostly traditional, which is exactly what we wanted. My filet mignon was perfectly cooked, our homemade pasta was al dente, and not a single dish was lacking in flavor. All six of our plates were sent back scraped clean, which our waiter noted was "the highest compliment to a chef". That was our intention. This is Italian food done very well.
If a mostly traditional Italian menu is what you seek, come here with high expectations and leave satisfied. We will be returning.
My husband and I had a reservation for dinner during restaurant week. The restaurant was pretty busy, but the service was great and the food was wonderful. There were many options to choose from, and many looked great. We were both happy with the dishes that we ordered and had plenty to take home for leftovers. Our server was very attentive throughout our entire dinner. We will definitely make a return visit.
You feel like you've stepped away into another land. Wonderful authentic Tuscan cuisine. Our server Anna Marie was outstanding. She went above and beyond and added a little extra treat to my wife's dessert. Thank you!
We went to Firenze a Tavola for Denver Restaurant Week and it was phenomenal! We sat at the bar for dinner and the staff were so kind and attentive! The food was absolutely delicious and right as I would finish one dish the next would arrive. I would definitely recommend!
Very charming, comy restraurnt. It is located downstairs and the location and decor give it an authentic feel as does the servers speaking Italian. Food was excellent. We had a leisurely dinner and there was no pressure to vacate the table. It was like dining in Italy.
Our restaurant week meal was great. There were three of us, and we all really enjoyed our meals. The service was spot on with great service and not intrusive.
So incredibly amazing!! I knew of this place but had never eaten here before. No matter where you are coming from, it is worth the drive! Chef is from Italy and rotates the menu seasonally. The service was astounding, as well. The wait staff helped us find the perfect wines with our meal and was very knowledgable about the menu, including what I, the vegetarian could eat.
I'll be back there very very soon and will be regular from now on!
The food was delicious, each item was top notch and the service was outstanding. Highly recommended!
This is my favorite Italian restaurant. I grew up on the East Coast eating at authentic Italian restaurants and this rivals those. The atmosphere is great also!
Outstanding food and service
Good service but food portions were small and they had a special menu that night
Love this place!!
We’ve had many great experiences both upstairs and down at Parisi’s over the years - this was not one of them. Each plate seemed to have an issue ranging from poor meat quality (Ossobuco) to dry risotto over-powered with Prosecco.
My favorite Italian restaurant in the Denver Metropolitan Area. Wonderful food and service and atmosphere. Best value wine list in any Italian restaurant I've been to.
It was very expensive for pedestrian Italian food.
Wonderful menu and friendly, knowledgeable wait staff...great atmosphere.
We have been several times and find that the portions are too large in each of
the menu categories so we are now ordering one of each item on the menu
and sharing the dishes. This has worked very well for us. We will return
time and time again. Our Italian waiter was so much fun and very informative
about the menu, where the items come from, etc. good sense of humor as
Good experience seemed expensive
Firenze a Tavola is one of my favorite restaurants. Excellent food, superb service, and reasonable prices. You can also carry on a conversation with out having to yell.
Our waiter was outstanding and the food was unforgettable! Truly reminded us of being back in Italy.
We expected a romantic evening - instead the lighting on the place was half bright white lighting, half mood lighting. The chairs were too tall to touch my feet to the floor as a 5’6” female which cut off my blood circulation in my legs, and the food was just okay. Service was extremely slow - they were clearly under staffed. Go to Parisi upstairs, much better value, menu and ambiance!
We stopped in and had a great meal. Food was exceptional as was the service.
They were an hour late seating us. If the way they prepared lobster is considered "Italian" style, you can keep it! $240 with tip for 2 people with 2 drinks each is excessive! I was not impressed.
We loved it! Very warm and welcoming ambience and service. Homemade pasta was delicious, as was the burrata appetizer. Felt like we were transported to Florence in all ways.
We had a lovely dinner with friends. I loved my seafood pasta; spaghetti piled high with seafood in their shells topped with a lobster tail. But my husband's steak was just mediocre. The bill total was shockingly high but the 6 of us shared several bottle of wine and perhaps were not tracking their cost very carefully.
Our waiter was excellent, attentive service and good recommendations.
We usually go upstairs to Parisi where we always enjoy the Tagliata Di Manzo (thinly-sliced Colorado beef topped with arugula). We'll stick with that in the future as it is more affordable but Firenze a Tavola is a good choice for special occasions and more conducive to conversation in a group.
Such a great restaurant from the owners to the staff and food!!! I highly recommend trying this place best Italian food in Denver
What a wonderful experience!! Food, service and ambiance was top notch.
Always a wonderful experience here. The food, wine and service is always exceptional. We only wish this restaurant were located closer to our house.
Wonderful food, wine, and service for a birthday dinner!!!!!!!!!!!
