Firenze a Tavola Ratings and Reviews
Outstanding. Chef is from Florence and you can tell. Proper Italian food that took me back to my time in Florence. The service is outstanding and prompt. Very professional. This was my second time here, First was to bring my extended family and they did a great job then as well. My new favorite italian spot.
Wine bar & Italian restaurant downstairs. Service, assistance selecting wine, wine & food were very good. Good place for a date, birthday group & friends. An issue, with most restaurants, is the wine mark up. A $65 bottle is available online for 1/3 the cost. Overall very good & recommended.
Carlo was amazing. Being from Northern Italia, he brought a real authenticity to our meal. We came with our 7 week old (she slept all night), and they were more than accommodating. We originally sat near a loud group of ladies and they let us move to a quieter table. Wine service was perfect (Brunello), and the food was spot on. The replication of traditional Italian letting the rustic ingredients steal the show. The simplicity of the pastas (ravioli and tagliatelle) and their accompaniments were perfect. Prices are very reasonable for quality and quantity of the food. This place is a hidden gem. Keep doing what you do guys! Gracie Mille!
The Italian restaurant we've been looking for since moving from Atlanta. Great main dish, papparedelli with slow cooked beef. House salad lacked flavor in the dressing but the cucumber and tomato one was very good. Bread is great. Nice wine selection. We were a bit disappointed they did nothing for our anniversary other than wish us a happy one.
A double birthday celebration was cause to visit Firenze on a Friday night. We were greeted at the top of the stairs and taken to a quiet table against the far wall. Our server, Carlo was attentive without smothering us. Cocktails were on point, the wine list impressive, and the food was perfect. And free desserts for the birthday folks! All in all an excellent experience. Highly recommended.
I love the community table dinners at Firenze a Tavola! The food is always wonderful and unique, tasty and wholesome. The waitstaff is wonderful! We were even treated with a bit of opera from one of them! She was amazing. We sat next to diners who made the evening more special!
This is not your everyday Italian Restaurant. This is the real deal. The food is crafted, not prepped hours before then thrown together by a line cook, like your everyday corporate Olive Garden or Maiggianos. The noodles are all homemade and served al dente PERFECTLY. The food is made from quality genuine Italian ingredients and is very complex and unique. These are Italians running the show and you can tell they are passionate about being perfect and authentic. If you are thinking of trying this place, do not hesitate. Firenze A Tavola is like the Ferrari of Italian food In Denver.
Really great food, and a wonderful wine list. Blair had the Lamb Chops which were wonderful! I had the steak with fondue sauce. The vegetables and potatoes were outstanding, and that's not what I am normally looking for.
We started with and order of Fiocchetti alle pere, which is described as "ravioli purses filled with pears and gorgonzola cheese, finished with butter, mascarpone, organic pears, Parmigiano Reggiano & balsamic reduction" It was wonderful! Delicate, sublime, wonderful!
We've been to Firenza a Tavola previously, our only regret is that its been too long. And Kenny, our waiter was superb! BTW, we learned from Kenny of an aperitif far superior to Limoncello. They had a Bartolo Nardini Acqua di Cedro, which was really great. Like a Limoncello, but drier, less sweet and more satisfying all around.
We have been to Firenze a Tavola at least six times and have never had such AWFUL service. The waiter spent all his time on one table of 10 leaving us without napkins on our table (we had to ask another waitress because he brought out the appetizer and couldn't be flagged down) and then when we finished with our food had to wait OVER A HALF AN HOUR for the bill. Did not order dessert or coffee for that reason. Will probably be back but will make sure that waiter is not taking care of us.
