Great place for dinner before theater. The food was awesome. The server was incredible.
Great food, waiter was very friendly. Service was fast!
Visited for a family Easter brunch. FireLake had an amazing menu and the ambiance was perfect for a relaxing setting. No waiting for the reservation, no crowds and fantastic service.
Would visit for a happy hour when in the area!
The food was fantastic and the ambience even better! The decor of the room is gorgeous and the staff friendly and attentive. We will go back again and again!
It was fire.
Lovely restaurant in the heart of downtown Minneapolis.
Amazing service, Awesome food and drinks. Loved the decor and the atmosphere.
We have been to FireLake Grill several times previously, and we have not been disappointed. They generally have at least one good vegetarian option as an appetizer, and there are plenty of side dishes to bolster the meal. Always a fan of the popovers, and their drinks are fancy and delicious. We will be back.
Our server had great suggestions and was attentive to our drinks and the flow of our meal. The rotisserie chicken and the short ribs were perfect; very tender and great flavor. Our drinks were very good also. The place is very clean and appealing and I like how the tables are not too close together so we didn't feel crammed in.
I often try to get something I've never had before when I come here. This time around was the Angry Bison Burger. Excellent meat, great flavor, and not as spicy as you might think (it has ghost pepper in the cheese). For an evening out on St. Patrick's Day, the restaurant was reasonably calm.
I'm usually not a fan of hotel restaurants, but this was close to a concert and we could get reservations. The food was fantastic! And the service was super kind.
Very disappointing breakfast all around. The server brought coffee and took our order otherwise never saw him or any other. They changed the set up of the room so it’s not inviting at all. Food, egg and pancake was fine but the whole experience was so not worth it. It was just a bland breakfast and on top we paid $10 for parking which I wouldn’t have minded if breakfast was good. It seemed like corporate ran through, changed the concept and left. No one was in charge, no manager...no one.
Excellent combo lunch specials. Very tasty and good value. Service was great.
The restaurant was very nice- our waitress was very nice and helpful- the rotisserie chicken and mashed potatoes were very good - however, I wish they offered a pre-dinner salad and some bread. The "meal" was good, but a little sparse with no bread/salad option to go with it.
Incredible food, great wine, excellent service
The restaurant was very good a preparing delicious food very quickly. The server was very attentive and friendly and she did a great job making the night very enjoyable. I would come back.
I hadn't been to FireLake Grill House Downtown Minneapolis since they remodeled. I was pleasantly surprised at how nice, bright and clean looking it was. Food was delicious and service was good. Very easy to get in and out in an hour for lunch.
Bloody Mary was awful and the food was subpar for the price, will not return.
Our server Carlos was fantastic and the super bowl ambience was really exciting! We sat next to Dale Earnhardt Jr! Mimosas are $3!
Super Bowl Live
Great location and great staff. The bartender makes a great Old fashion
Very slow an unattentive staff. We waited a good 20 minutes without being approached for an order. It was only after approaching the hostess that service began. We were local- but, if service like this occurs during the very busy upcoming Super Bowl festivities- this will not bode well for our city or the restaurant that is associated with a highly regarded hotel brand.
Nice lunch spot. Good food, very good service, quiet enough for conversation.
Excellent meal and service. Have been here several times and have always had a great time. You can't go wrong with any menu item, but we recommend the walleye or the steak frites. Server (Katie) was top-notch.
First time here. Had a group of five. Kevin our server was top notch. He was very upbeat and attentive. The food was average and a bit overpriced. Walleye was covered in Panko. For me that’s just a waste of fish. The continued theme of too much sugar on every
Meal is offensive. Cornbread and popovers good. Lamb ribs very good. $14.00 drink is just a bit too much. Nothing was memorable and for us left us all not disappointed but gave us no reason to want to go back. Called prior to arrival and told valet parking is $10.00. Valet parking was $17.00. I think you have other options and would probably skip this place.
The food, atmosphere and service are top notch. Try the rotissiere chicken!
It was overall just average. Would try again. The salad was super tasty.
Both our host, and our server(Libby) were lovely. We tried several cocktails and they were all very good. The Swedish mule cocktail was especially delicious. Please order the walleye frites, they are amaze-ballz:) really really great!
The chicken and the walleye were very good and a well-rounded meal. My husband, at 6'3" ordered Swedish type meatballs, which were served with mashed potatoes and no vegetable. The plate looked like it was missing something. It was not a small plate and I think we just assumed a vegetable would be served with it, as was the case with the chicken and walleye. Luckily, one of my daughters is not a big eater and gave him one of her chicken pieces and mashed potatoes. Otherwise, a lovely restaurant and service.
The service is friendly, unfortunately the menu is dated and the food was overdone. The restaurant was not full providing no excuse for the preparation skills from the kitchen. Service is not able to overcome the food.
We like the food, especially the popovers. It is easy to get in and out for a person who usesa walker.
We had a business meeting at FireLake, and it was the perfect setting. Our server was fabulous, the food was delicious, and we were able to stay long enough to discuss our business. Thank you for a wonderful experience!
Amazing experience. First time there and will go back often. Very comfortable environment with an open feel but intimate at the same time. Menu was diverse and the food and drink were terrific with very nice size portions. All brought together by the wait staff who were professional and courteous to a fault. Special thanks to Wendy, our waiter, who made the night even more perfect.
Great place start the evening before the show you may see.
The venison tips and gathered green salad were a fantastic combo. My waitress was great, she was friendly and gave suggestions of what she liked most. I had a great meal and will bring friends.
We were staying at the hotel and came for breakfast which was excellent. Waitress was particularly careful with my husband's nut allergy and had the griddle cleaned from the maple pecan pancakes before our gluten-free lemon ricotta pancakes were cooked. These were served with creamy ricotta and lovely orange marmalade and strawberries. Blueberries would have been better, but strawberries just fine. Would order again. There were so many tempting things on the menu that it was hard to choose. We will return.
We had burgers that were very good. The fries were done as requested. Service was excellent.
The walleye continues to be great, the prime rib was nicely done, the popovers very good, and the soups and salads were excellent. However, we were the the Sunday after Thanksgiving, for dinner, and the service had much to be desired. Additionally, if you are going for something specific you see on the online menu call to make sure they still have it; apparently the online menu is not always up to date. Even with those issues, we will still go back.
Food okay but nothing special; service erratic; seats rather uncomfortable; very noisy.
My friend and I were both staying in town for Thanksgiving, even though our families were out of state. We found FireLake Grill House on a list of restaurants that were serving Thanksgiving. It was a great meal, the server was so friendly and after the Traditional Thanksgiving meal, the waiter brought out turkey sanwhiches for “leftovers”. Would definitely go there again for Thanksgiving and other occasions!
