wild mushrooms, truffle cream, grana padano
The food was cold, the portions were small, the receptionist was unfriendly
A very nice place. Felt very comfortable. Covid card check in place at the front- perfect.
All associates are very attentive to their customers.
Excellent dinner in a wonderful ambiance
I would like this place. Food was great,Costmer service was super.
Everything was perfect except live music. We didn’t understand what that musician doing. So nosy, unrhythmic. Until that guy we was enjoying to our anniversary night. After him we couldn’t hanging there. But all other things was amazing.
So pretty but I wish there’s more options on the menu.
My son was given a hard time due to a vaccination requirement which was not enforced online when making a reservation…and when they were finally seated guests next to them were extremely loud. Not a good experience over all.
Our dishes came cold. They redid the dishes and salmon came hot but French fries were Luke warm. By that time the others in our party had finished their meal. It took almost 60 mins to get served. Manager offered to Comp us- that was generous. Really disappointed at the food and service.
Such a secret hideaway with great food and awesome service. I’ll definitely be going back!!
The mussels are supposedly very tasty there They were , but both bowls were served lukewarm
Absolutely delightful place from the ambiance to the truly inventive food! I strongly urge you to give it a try!
Without question the worst restaurant I’ve eaten at in years. The service, and quality of food were beyond poor. Lazy and clueless servers, disgusting food. I would rather eat at home for the rest of my life then return to this restaurant. Good luck keeping your doors open.
I picked this restaurant for Thanksgiving dinner because the menu looked promising and the reviews were positive; however, the table wasn’t ready until 20 minutes past the reservation time, the amuse bouche course was served incomplete, and the quality of the food was inconsistent. The turkey dinner was good but the caramel in the dessert flan was almost burnt. The venue is nice, so it’s a shame that the restaurant missed the mark on certain things.
Thanksgiving dinner with friends
They were ill-equipped for Thanksgiving, despite having a limited menu. We were seated a half hour late, not unusual for a holiday, even with a reservation, but then we waited at our table for 40 minutes before we could order, then waited another 40 minutes for food to arrive. Diners who arrived later than we did were served before us. The "chicken pot pie" amuse bouche was icy cold and seemed like chicken salad on a cracker, served with a plain slice of olive bread, no butter. The entrées were okay and at least not overpriced. They brought out the wrong dessert (pumpkin flan) then said they'd run out of what we'd ordered. At our insistence, they offered something else (caramel cake) but it turned out to be bland and tasteless. I wasn't going to say anything, but when the waiter specifically asked how it was, I told him. His reaction was "I know! I don't like it either." He made no offer to comp us for the dessert screw-up, and had no apologies for how long the food took. When we asked for coffee and tea, the waiter's reaction was as if we'd ordered something out of the ordinary. "I think we can do that for you." It arrived cold enough that when we went home we fixed our own, with a better homemade dessert.
This place has great reviews, and looks amazing, which is why we picked it for thanksgiving dinner. Shame it was a different place last night, as menu had potential but did not deliver. Staff working hard on a holiday but it was not a great experience for us.
The place was appallingly bad. There was essentially no service: we hd to ask for everything 2-3 times, and some of the items never came. The plates were tiny and very mediocre. It was freezing cold. The music was blasting to the point where it was almost impossible to hear.
For $314 for 3 people (before tip), it was a total rip-off. The service was so bad that I didn’t leave any tip.
Waited 45 minutes after I made a reservation. Waiter seem extremely busy and barely had time for us, food is very disappointing as well
Our waiter was very good. Attentive, but not overbearing
Was there a couple of years ago and I remember the food being great. Went for Thanksgiving and the food just...wasn't very good. Staff was great, very friendly and accommodating and trying their best during a very crowded (and seemingly overwhelming) night but I was looking forward to a good meal and didn't get one. Even the bread tasted stale.
Highly disappointing service…Yikes!
We went for their Thanksgiving special dinner and "disappointing" doesn't begin to describe it. We were kept waiting 30 mins for our appetizers. When the first course finally arrived, the pumpkin soup was cold. Everything went downhill from there. Main course was another 1 hr 15 mins wait. Server kept bringing us free drinks and plates of stale, dry food to make up for the delay. All they would say was that the kitchen was backed up. When our food eventually arrived, we had been there for 3 hours. Some diners left without any dinner. To make matters worse, the food was just awful. Turkey was an undercooked, unseasoned blob. The sides were unseasoned and could have been boiled in one pot of water for all I could taste. "Corn" was literally 20 bits of corn - not even one bite. It was far from restaurant quality food - more like college cafeteria slop. Could have easily come from an instant packet. And this entire time, no one other than our server made any effort to apologize or offer to make things right in any way. No money back was offered when the meal was clearly not worth $75. Completely ruined Thanksgiving.
We went for thanksgiving, it took 2 hours to be served the main course. The kitchen was behind, so not the servers fault. Food was ok! And ambiance is great. Would be nicer under normal circumstances.
I’m trying to get a hold of the restaurant to get our money back it was the worst experience that I have had eating out and certainly for Thanksgiving in our anniversary the turkey was so tiny and the portions were so small and the food was cold
Thank you Firefly for such an amazing Thanksgiving! This year because we've been so busy, my girlfriend and I decided to break tradition and go out instead of cooking and having friends and family over. We were not disappointed one bit!!! We had such an amazing time! Beautiful ambiance (as always), a super fun and efficient wait staff and absolutely fabulous food. This could make us rethink our approach to Thanksgiving from now on! A++
It was great! Thank you making it special for my bday
This pace was amazing. Never left a review before but wow this place was worth it
Food, service and surroundings are always outstanding. Love it here, don't go very often because the prices are high, but then again they are worth it. When I do go it's always a treat yourself evening!
Great food, drink and ambiance but the server was exquisite which made the experience even better than usual!
Firefly is the place to be in Studio City! Great service and food. Cheese board was an excellent appetizer. And the steak & frites were as good as any French bistro
Very good food, and atmosphere was great for evening dinner for couples.
The service was very poor. The waitress barely came to check on us and kept forgetting everything and the wait for the food was too long. The food for the price was basic. I will say the steak was cooked perfectly. Cocktails were good. It was so loud between the music and the people, its very hard to hear people at your own table.
Good Food and Drinks still served nightly after all these years. Service is spot on and menu choices vary, with a highly recommended Prix Fixe menu when the entire party orders together (highly recommended). Otherwise it’s probably better for couples as the noise level is extremely high and our party of 8 couldn’t hear across the table. Pricy but worth it for special occasions.
Loved the ambiance, the music and Charlie our waitress.
The place is pretty but over crowded. The restaurant didn’t honor my request for a cabana or boot and they seat us in a very small table. Maybe if you go during a hour that they are not busy, you can get a better table and perhaps you can enjoy the place.
The noise levels at Firefly are ridiculous. They crammed in too many tables in the dining area and also overbooked. We could not hold a conversation because they cranked up the music to a stupefying level. The vegetables in the prix fix meal were bland and overcooked. The tartare was way over salted. They gave the wrong steaks to our party and it was so dark that we ate some bites before realizing that the rare steaks had been given to the med rare diners. Good thing we know each other well enough to just swap plates. By the end we could not wait to get out of there.
If the problem is not enough staff don’t punish staff and diners by cramming in tables at unhealthy levels and overbooking. There is also no excuse for the noise level. I should also note that the vaxx status of incoming diners was only nominally vetted. Flash a bar code at the door man and go in. I used to love that place, have been going there now and then for many years but won’t be going back. I was embarrassed to have suggested it to my friends.
Don't expect a cabana, even if you reserve & ask for one.
First of all we were seated in the corner outside under the tent. There were 6 of us and it was very cold. The minute the waitress came to the table we asked to be either moved or to have a heater brought to the table. She assured us that they would bring a heater. Well, they did and it did not work. Throughout the meal we continually asked for a heater and we were yessed to death and NEVER was a heater brought to the table. Because of that our food was ice cold with a few minutes of being set down.
Amazing ambiance, unbelievable food and drinks. highly recommend it. We had a great time, thanks again😊
We always like this restaurant. I wish the music level was tone down a little bit and I would’ve liked a little bigger table for the two of us
