This is an unique restaurant, we fallen in love with it the moment we stepped in, so beautiful like entering another world! We were there for Sunday brunch, they offered various food choices like oyster, crab legs and smoked salmon. Great service!
Interesting place, but very loud. Free water and great service.
Very loud and told "it's clubby" after 10 pm. Had to shout to hear my girlfriend from a distance of 18". Ambiance and food otherwise great. Noise level ruined the experience.
Also, our waitress did nothing special for my girlfriend as I told restaurant in advance of her birthday (and even mentioned to another waiter who came to chat us up) - although they did nice things for other parties celebrating birthdays. That was disappointing.
I love the cozy ambiance whether you're sitting fireside or in one of the semi private dining alcoves. Brunch was truly a great value for the selection that included a seafood bar with shrimp, crab & oysters to the carving station of beef tenderloin or salmon, the antipasto bar, and dessert spread, to name a few. I cant wait to go back again.
Terrible experience. Waited 25 minutes for our reserved table. We had invited guests and were embarrassed. Rude receptionists and manager. We were promised appetizers by the manager for our patience which never came. The noise level was very high and very unpleasant. We would never go back again and will never recommend this restaurant to anyone.
We had a reservation and they didn't seat us until 25 minutes after the reservation. The music was loud to the point that if you weren't sitting next to the person you were talking to you were shouting. Server was great.
Christian our waiter made our night!!! He is one in a million!!! Firefly is lucky to have him!!!
Incredible food, lovely environment, and our server Vince was AMAAAAZING.
Wonderful food and the ambiance perfect for an anniversary celebration .
Second time been there with my girlfriend and same wonderful hospitality and service and delicious food ... definitely will go back again because everything is great and everytime we walk out happy and satisfied of everything
Normally we truly enjoy going to Firefly, but for some reason their game was off tonight. Food server didn’t know who got what and no attention to a special order that actually had to go back twice. The waiter was apologetic but honestly when he was told a person had severe allergies..that should’ve been a big alert to the kitchen as well for himself. Anyhow. We will go back when we know our favorite waiters are working (Lulu and Vince!).
Waiting time was 30 min for my reservation. We were waiting for food for about 45 min Very disorganized And bus boy was clumsy, spilled water on my guest coat. And super loud music!
The hostess that was sitting us seemed like she hated her job asked her to seat on a different table as we didn’t like the table she with an attitude said let me check. Other then that I was server was great I food was not that good. The dessert was the only thing that we enjoyed.
Great atmosphere!! The patio is beautiful and the music and food was great! Our server was super nice and even gave me a dessert for my birthday!
My go to spot in the valley
Great birthday dinner, great food great service pricey but exquisite taste
My sister and I came to dinner for her birthday and we loved the environment. As soon as we entered the restaurant, we were greeted warmly and seated quickly. Our server, Daniel, was very attentive. We will definitely be coming back.
Love this place!
Service was excellent. The Filet was delicious but the veal and fish wasn’t very good and the portions were too large. For a 4 course meal we were full after the 2nd course, it was such a waste . Especially for my niece who barely ate her food. Ambiance was great. Liked the music but no where to dance.
New Year’s Eve was classy and delicious!
Went here for NYE dinner and it was fantastic. Great service and incredible atmosphere. Dinner was phenomenal too.
We went for NYE! We didn’t realize that the menu was pre-fix for that evening, so that was a slight damper (price per person was $125). We called it a special occasion meal, but will come back for the regularly priced things.
The meal was really good! The mood was festive due to the holiday. Will come back soon!
New Years Eve for the second year in a row. I verified that there was no band during the 5:30 seating because of noise last year. I failed to ask about piped in music. It was not background music. It was loud. The table of 4 people next to us were very loud. Not your fault, but they were yelling to be heard. We had to yell to be heard. On top of that the entrees were nothing special, so we won’t be back. We were very disappointed. We paid $250 a couple and it was not worth it.
A great experience for a first time diner with a party of 4. Excellent service and food. We split a a Tomahawk steak and added Brussel sprouts which were done perfectly.
Delicious indulgence. Prices are increasing and portions are smaller for steak dish and cheese boards, but the preparation, flavors and surrounds and the always-outstanding service will keep me coming back for a special occasion splurge.
Best value for money brunch in LA in my opinion. Food quality was fantastic for a buffet, up there with Sunset marquis. Bottomless bubbles and service were top notch.
We have found our new brunch hot spot 😎🍾🥂
This place was beautiful beyond what I expected. The service is amazing and it was overall a great place to have a romantic dinner.
Amazing!!! Special service great food!!!
Great flavors of the food and nice service from the waiters and receptionists *BUT*...
Members of our table had bad stomachache afterward and the manager was very smug when we gave a call, continually implying that “So many people had the dish so whats your problem?” and promise a follow up call, which of course never came.
Overall, great flavor and dining experience BUT bad manager’s after-dine service. Would not recommend.
The food was pretty good, but not good enough to justify the price. Service was terrible. Our waiter was not accommodating and even spoke down to my date. I made a mental note to reflect his demeanor in my tip, but surprise! Gratuity was automatically added by the restaurant. Come here to pay an exuberant price for decent food, good ambiance, and snooty service.
We live in the area and used to come but the menu kept changing. We were very happily surprised at the choices and portion and quality
I was looking for a civilized place to have dinner on Christmas night. I never eat out on Christmas but this year most of my family was away for work and other obligations, so it was just my mother and me. While it was bustling that night, the service was good. Once someone stopped fussing with the music (songs being changed 1/2 way through, volume levels all over the place) the atmosphere improved. The prix fix menu was good and offered something for everyone. It was my first time dining there and it won't be my last.
This restaurant was touted as the most romantic restaurant in the San Fernando Valley. From the outside it looked promising. They had a special Christmas menu and I was expecting a Christmas theme inside the restaurant. At $75/person, I was even hoping there would have been some live music or something at all to make it feel like Christmas. Instead we were sat in the middle of the noisiest part of the restaurant. We ordered about $50 worth of alcohol and they charged us for the sparkling water. Somehow that all added up to $300 for 2 people! Firefly might be nice on a regular night, I don't know, but be very wary about the prices!
I want to preface this by saying, USUALLY Firefly is very good, not outstanding but super solid for Studio City. It was a prix fix on Christmas and the selection of food choices sounded appetizing. However, my soup was average, and my paparadelle was SO bland, I asked for salt, and then I still sent it back. The "cheesecake" dessert was the least cheesecakey thing I've ever tasted. Also, one of our guests was still eating their appetizer when the entrees came out...the server didn't care. They were clearly given orders to hasten the time between courses to accommodate the next seating. (And the only reason the rest of us were done so quickly was because the soup wasn't great, so we all just left it.) This is what's wrong with America, and what's right about Italy and France, and all of Europe for that matter. They NEVER rush you at the table. EVER. I don't know if George Clooney is still part owner in this restaurant, but he'd be disappointed to know this, if he was. It's what he loves about Italy (among other things), and it's what we all love about dining together as a race: relaxing, catching up and not being rushed (over mediocre food). I should say that other people thought the steak was excellent. And when they replaced my paparadelle with the salmon that was good. Other good things: the server was very sweet and the hostess team, very courteous as well. ps. Our server did try and steer us in the right direction with other options than what I chose, but some of them had ingredients I couldn't eat. That said, hello restaurant...if your servers aren't recommending your dishes--maybe you need new dishes. Also, and not to beat a dead horse...but it was Christmas. I feel like you should have gotten it right on that one important day of the year.
Beautiful atmosphere! Christian was our waiter and his service was perfect and witty. The food was divine all around. My favorite was Pappardelle with Mushrooms. I tried hubby’s Salmon (cooked on cedar plank)...delicious!
Overall it was a lovely evening and we’ll be going back soon.
Despite having a reservation, we had to wait 45 minutes. When we finally got seated, it was over an hour before we even got our dinner salad appetizer. We took the rest of our food to go because it was a prix fix menu.
Firefly is one of the most beautiful restaurants with a diverse seasonal menu. However, the last time we went...food and service was lacking. The food came out at the wrong pace, some dishes were cold and some modifications were incorrect. We also had a reservation and they made us wait 40 minutes more because they were running behind. Staff was accommodating by providing a couple complimentary drinks during the wait, but all in all....i want to love firefly, but the little details that were lacking built up and left a mediocre experience. It’s not a cheap restaurant, so all of these things are expected. I won’t write it off...just wish it lived up to the first few times I went there...seems to be going downhill.
Lovely restaurant - it was our anniversary and we were greeted with glasses of sparkling wine which was a thoughtful touch. We ordered the tasting menu which was way too much food, but everything was delicious. We will go back, but will order differently.
